What is the limit for the creation of a primary key?

Hi friends I have an another question... .Please help me...

What is the limit for the creation of a primary key?

Thank you

I think that its 32

Yes from the doc

Primary and unique keys because composites are limited to 32 columns, a composite foreign key is also limited to 32 columns.

    What is the difference between codec primary and secondary codec in cts-3000?

    I know the primary function of the codec. but I don't know exactly of secondary function of codec.

    Hello

    On a CTS 3000 system, you have 1 codec primary and secondary 2 codecs. Secondary codecs are responsible for the camera left and right and view the connections. They communicate the main codec via an Ethernet cable.

  • Another user changed the row with a primary key oracle.jbo.Key]

    I see many discussions about this error, but still cannot understand the difficulty that I need in my scenario.

    I am an Oracle Developer and completely new to ADF, please bear with me.

    I use JDeveloper 11.1.1.9.0

    My scenario:

    Creates an object editable view (UVO) with sub selects in the query, which is from several db tables.

    Creating a table using the UVO

    When I try to update a field in the table, and then click the validate, I get the error message:

  • Questions about the creation of a foreign key on a table

    Hello @ll,

    during an update of the database, I lost a foreign key between two tables. The tables are called werteart and werteartarchiv_pt. Because of its size, werteartarchiv_pt is a partitioned table. The missing foreign key was a constraint on werteartarchiv_pt table referencing werteart.

    Some statistics on the size of the mentioned tables:
    werteart 22 MB
    werteartarchiv_pt 223 GB
    werteartarchiv_pt (Index) 243 GB

    I tried to create the foreign key again but it failed with the following error (apologies for the German error message):

    sqlplus ORA-00604: Fehler auf rekursiver SQL-ebony 1
    sqlplus ORA-01652: Temp-Segment kann nicht um 128 in Tablespace TEMPS00 judgements

    The statement that I used:

    ALTER table werteartarchiv_pt
    Add constraint werteartarchiv_pt_fk1
    foreign key (rail, werteartadresse, merkmale)
    Reference werteart (rail, werteartadresse, merkmale)
    on delete cascade
    at the delayed start can be delayed;

    So, the problem seems to be that Oracle needs a lot of temporary tablespace to generate foreign key and I do not know how and why.

    My questions now are, and I hope that someone is there who can answer all or part of it:

    (1) why Oracle should temporary tablespace to create the foreign key? The foreign key uses the same columns as the primary key.

    is 2 (a) possible to change the statement without using the temporary tablespace?

    2 (b) if it is not possible to avoid the use of temporary storage space, is there a formula how to calculate the necessary temporary tablespace?

    (3) is it possible to modify data in tables while the foreign key is created or is the whole table locked during the process?

    Any help or advice is appreciated.

    Kind regards
    Bjoern

    Because it is data validation to ensure that the foreign key are violated. If you had specified NOVALIDATE ACTIVATE in its creation then the existing data in the table should be checked and the statement must fill out instantly (future data added is enabled by the constraint).

  • What is the difference between Region.destroy (key) and Region.remove (key)?

    The doc, the two functions are similar. What is the difference? Thank you.

    Region.Destroy (Key) is the original API. If there is no entry being destroyed, he throws EntryNotFoundException. Region.Remove (Key) is an addition subsequent to implement the map interface. It returns null if the entry does not exist. You can use either enough either.

  • Not Null on the column of a primary key constraint

    I came across a table defined in the same way to...

    create table t (t_id int constraint nn_t_id not null constraint pk_t primary, data key number);

    Of course, the primary key is the is not null, then is there a reason to add the redundant constraint not null?

    There are two parts to your question, I think:

    (1) why add a NOT NULL if a primary key is also reported.
    (2) why is null is NOT a name defined by the user (in this case nn_t_id).

    1 > I think you are right: there is no difference in behavior in the way that Oracle is going to reject the creation of NULL in this column (whether through the direct insert or update with a NULL value). I personally always declares the NOT NULL for columns, I know to never have null, regardless of whether the column is (member of) a PK.

    It's pretty funny, btw, the SQL standard as chosen able to be the NULL default value. I think that we all type much less, if the SQL standard chose NOT NULL default value. But that's another story.

    2 > I don't see given nullability defined by the user of the explicit names now and then, because of some "coding guideline' which dictates that constraint names must never be generated System. This guideline is often presented as a result of the exception handling of "client-side", where the constraint name is filtered SQLERRM and then more personalized to be displayed to the end user. However for NOT NULL constraint violations, I think (does not fully to check) that you are always thrown an ORA-01400 is an ORA-01407. Who nowadays both will tell you exactly (in SQLERRM) which column of this table is currently in violation of a NOT NULL constraint.

  • How to delete several lines in the details Table with PRIMARY KEY = ("VID", "LINEITEM")?

    Mr President

    My worm Jdev is 12.2.1.

    I have master tables / details.

    I have 2 lines for each PRIMARY KEY = ("VID", "LINEITEM") as below in the Details table.

    delete.png

    Please help how to get a button on a jsf page to remove these two lines at a time.

    Concerning

    So, in your app (data model) module, you have a master relationship / typical retail:

    And the relationship between them is based on some ViewLink

    Now go to the ViewLink, relationship, accessor.

    Take a look at the Destination accessor.

    Generate accessor object to check and give a name Acessor

    Then go to the master VO, Java and Include accessor, the class generate a display line:

    Go to the class view Java generated line, you'll find a method with the name of the accessor of the previous step, in the form of:

    public RowIterator getYourDetails...or_whaterever_IsAccessorName..() {
    }

    Now, in the same Java class, write the following Java method:

    public void removeDetails(){
      RowIterator details = getYourDetails...or_whaterever_IsAccessorName..(); // it is RowIterator over all details
      Row r = details.first();
      while (r != null) {
          r.remove();
          r = details.next();
      }
    }

  • request for deletion with a composite primary key

    I have the following problem, which seems very simple, but I'm a bit at a loss :)

    I have a table T1 with composite primary key F1 and F2.

    There is a second table I want to use to delete records of T1 T2. It contains als F1 and F2.

    I want to do something like this
    delete from T1
    where T1.F1, T1.F2 in (select T2.F1, T2.F2 from T2);
    Of course, this does not work.

    There are solutions, but I find them unsatisfactory:
    -A loop of PL/SQL and passes the key one
    -Concatenate F1 and F2: where T1. F1 | T1. F2 to (select T2. F1 | W2M T2 F2); - but it's very ugly.

    Surely it must be possible in a simple SQL statement...

    Thank you!

    Rob
    delete from T1
    where (F1,F2) in (select T2.F1, T2.F2 from T2);

    As stated, I would like to ask whether there is an upper limit on the size of the hard disk that I intend to get even more internal storage.

    The current HARD disk is WD1600BEVS-08RST2, a HARD drive SATA must be SATA? Or same SATA2 fine?

    Thanks in advance for your answers,

    Only limitation that I know is the thickness of the disk.
    I think that up to 640 GB 9.5 mm. Western Digital
    fact that a 750 9. 5 mm and others can also.
    SATA 1 or 2 is fine.
