  Normally 1 year warranty is free (many sellers are doing the same thing, by law I think). Providers can offer an extended warranty on SOME products, also free (actually included in the price). 1 year is the norm for your machine, you will need to contact HP (or online help) to buy additional coverage.   I was wondering what is the standard way to backup / restore application options (scenario: options backup to memory card, the user reinstall OS, reinstall app, restore options)

  I would rather not put up my own encode / decode routines if possible.

  I've seen several approaches used in real-world applications:
  * csv like data file
  * binary storage (Berry, weather)
  but I'm not aware on how they have been implemented.

  I think that most people will write their own serialization code to convert objects into a form of byte (as you saw csv, or own format or XML) and then put that somewhere - like your own server for application aware network or SD card.  This approach works, regardless of the method, users of user to switch devices.

  If you go to file > new in Muse, you'll see the width of the default site Office is 960.  One of my friends who is a web designer has recently helped me get up and running in Muse, so I could build my own site - I'm a photographer, not a web person.  It states 1200 px as the width of my new site, and that works very well.  This is the version of office.  Versions of the Tablet and phone are narrower, of course.

  Googling your question, it seems that there is no "standard" here.

  As David says, it depends on your audience.

  Take a look at the stats of the site (if you have one at this point).  What kind of people are going to be viewing the site.  If it's a more technical audience, then they probably wide enough monitors, but it's a site of "mom & pop" type, so they can still use small monitors.

  These days, I went from 780 width (at a size of 800px wide window) to 980px width to meet the size of the window at 1024. With respect to height, not to declare a height at all.  This will allow the content to expand vertically as required, regardless of the size of the window.

  Its a tool of configeration raid provided by your motherboard for use in raid configering manufacturer using the controller on the motherboard.

  If you have not configured the raid its of no use to you, uninstall it.

  There are 255 characters (fixed) - or a less than before, don't know if they still are that length.
  My preference is not to use and use the settings or package variables. There is no real control of globals, so you may find yourself with an applications which has a good number of them which is used only once but which persists during the user's session.

  As an interesting project / fun, I'm trying to implement the bcrypt algorithm in some native G, without using libraries (for example, no link DLL, all of the native code G). Everything is going well so far, with the exception of a minor roadblock I ran into. The bcrypt algorithm involves initialization of a state variable with a range of 4 x 256 of hex codes derived the decimals of pi. In C code, it looks like:

  Trick question - with or without the use of the graphical interface of FM?

  1. via the interface to define a variable of FM, FM will not save first characters of your definition of the variable - 1022 if you dare try to enter only a lot through the slot dialog user interface.

  2 import a variable through MIF, adds virtually no matter how long - I've tested 2510 characters. HOWEVER, FM will only display the first 1023 characters in this string.

  If you save the file to the MIF, you can still see the original length of the variable. The other drawback is that if you touch one of these long variables through the user interface of FM (change Variables) then FM log down up to 1022 characters - no matter how save you (binary or MIF).

  FWIW - Klaus Daube lists (see: http://daube.ch/docu/fmaker25.html ):

  Until the FM 7.2: up to 255 characters with meta-notations (such as or \t -This is considered to be 16 characters resp. 2). See also note Variables below

  FM 8.0: Until 2023 Windows Codepage characters or upward for 2022 UTF-8 characters

  I would say that this is not quite correct. You can enter more than 255 before FM 7.2 as well, but once again the display problem through the UI, kicks and truncated to 255. The newer versions don't show 1022/1023, but you can enter characters over 2510 (which in this case is futile anyway).

  My library feature vi uses appeal to post a link to a dll, the dll calls several other dll.  If I create an installation package and install and put all the conscripts of the dll in the Windows\System32 directory on a target program machine works very well.  I prefer to keep all the DLLs of the program in a subdirectory of the executable file.  How to change the variable path of registry during installation so that windows will use this path? OS is XP and Windows7.

  and why don't you copy your dll (and other levels) in the Wondiws\System32 directory on the installation?
  There are options in the installer to do such a thing.
