  If you are referring to the product ID, I suggest you try the following steps.
  a. right click on the computer icon.
  b. click Properties.
  c. you will be able to see the product ID in the title of the Windows Activation.

  A difference I could think: place a transient attribute on EO level will make transaction dirty (DBTransaction.isDirty returns true) when the field is changed.

  From a design point of view, I tend to place the transient fields at the level VO, because most of the time they are for the presentation of the data in the user interface.

  Only when the transient fields are involved in DML operations (for example when you call a stored procedure EntityImpl.doDML) I place the transitional area on EO.

  Any related object on the details of the page should have an 'Add' or 'New' or the two default buttons - it of a vanilla feature and will do the required action.

  If you want to change this behavior and do something delicate you will potentially have to to go for javascript. You must add the javascript code in a web custom tab on this object.

  Admin--> Application Customization--> Contact--> Applet Web Contact

  Now add your javascript in the code box, after selecting the type = HTML for this web applet, expose this web applet on the Contact details page layout and your javascript will be called every time this page is loaded.

  I see. I understand perfectly. I've been there before and I know it can be very upsetting. I understand that the lost files were close to your heart. So, I would suggest you try the trusted third party software for the restored files. The Windows operating system doesn't have a built-in software that can help us in this regard. A file when it is deleted is never removed from your hard drive. Still, a copy of the file is in a location on your hard disk and requires a software code, what software of this type will have to get recovered.

  Hello, I am a newb Lingo and could use some help. I am trying to get the metadata of MP3 files. The basics of what I'm trying to accomplish is the following:

  I have a text called cast member "title" and I want to make a script that will change the sprite .text property title in the name of the song.

  I look in the Lingo Dictionary and have stumbled on a property called ".id3tags". I think it could work, but I have no idea how to use.  I just want to be able to extract the ID3 tags of what song I import and display as text on the stage. If anyone can shed some light on this situation, I would be eternally grateful.

  You need to look at data returned - it's in the form of a list of properties. Regarding the property names, depending on who added the tags and how this has been done - I'm not sure that there is a 'standard' as such.

  Once the Member has preloaded (status = 2) you can question/run:

  put member("swa").id3tags

  and look in your message window for the list of properties (and property names that are)
