What JDK to install for EBS R12.0.6 to EBS R12.1.1(on 64 bit linux)

Hello

I am upgrading R12.0.6 EBS EBS R12.1.1 and in the process after the 455492.1 document.

It is said in the document-

" ..

Step 3.3: Download the latest JDK 6.0 update

Click on the appropriate link below to download the JDK on the site that corresponds to the operating system used on the application tier node. Download the 32-bit JDK, not the Java (JRE) runtime environment. Due to the integration of Java and C++ code that is currently available on 32-bit do not choose the 64-bit version, which is not supported on the 10.1.2 House.

"

What it means? Under Linux, you just need 32-bit jdk installation?

After that, I followed the document 1439822.1 and downloaded the next jdk:

19138237Oracle JDK 6 Update 85

What is the correct jdk for my environment (Oracle AS 10.1.3 on Linux 64 bit)?

  • Should what JDK I download for R12.1.3, 64-bit Linux?

    Hi, experts:

I was downloading JDK needs JDK 1.5 or higher for v5.8 Oracle Linux 64-bit 11.2.0.3 database and applications 12.1.3. I found patch #18143596. Is this correct?
Now I don't know which one I should choose depending on the platform.
If I choose the = Linux x 86 platform, in the readme, there platform: Linux-i586
If I choose the = Linux x 86-64 platform, in the readme, there platform: platform: Linux amd64

That one has reason to choose?

    Thank you for your help.

JDK, you will need to follow the steps (using the JDK 7.0 updated with Oracle E-Business Suite version 12.0 and 12.1 (Doc ID 1467892.1)) and download the 32 bit version.

For JRE, you will need to follow (deployment of JRE (Native plug-ins) for Windows customers in Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 (Doc ID 393931.1)) - download the Windows version (Windows 64-bit) x 64 or x 86 (32 bit) Offline as required

    Hello

I'm not 100% sure that it is, but it looks like you want to deploy a display Solution?

While AD and DNS to start

    You would need

    -ESXi host (virtual offices)

-vCenter (facing View Manager can connect to)

    -VIEW manager

-Agent VIEW (on your virtual machine template)

-Customer VIEW (to connect via vDesktops VIEW Manager and access)

  • T520. What to install for wifi

Hello. I t520 (Win7 64) and I was wondering what I should install for wifi.

I installed ThinkPad 1 x 1 11 b/g/n Wireless LAN PCI Express Half-Mini Card adapter for Windows 7 (32 bit, 64 bit), Vista (32 bit, 64 bit), XP Version: 1005.32.306.2012 and it turns out be enough for the job of wifi.

    Does make sense to install Intel Wireless LAN (11abgn, 11bgn, 11ac) for Windows 8.1 (64-bit), 8 (64-bit), 7 (32-bit,) 64-bit - Version: 16.6.0.8/15.10.4.2/15.9.1.2?

    Thank you

Lenovo has used several other wireless card for the T520. What mithunr said, is that if you have the ThinkPad 1 x 1 b/g/n card, then you will not be able to install the adapter driver WiFi Intel.

Each wireless card have their own driver for the wireless card, you can not install driver wireless card intel on a computer with ThinkPad 1 x 1 b/g/n and vice cersa card.

  • What jdk required for SOA 11.1.1.6 install

Try to install SOA 11.1.1.6. Installed in the (XE) database run the RCU - no problem. Now, install WLS - but I can't find in any of the installation documentation a definition of what jdk or a jre is required to move forward. Machine on a 64-bit Windows 7. What jdk must be installed?

Thank you for a clear answer - Casey

    Hi Casey
Version of the JDK is NOT linked or associated with SOA Version. But the Version of the JDK must match with the supported JDK compatiable Weblogic Server. As you install SOA 11.6, you should install version 10.6 WLS and look for the JDK Version supported for WLS 10.6. You can go with the latest Version of the JDK, as mentioned by Vlad and which should be good. SOA is installed on top of WLS. And for 64-bit machines, first you install 64 bit JDK and then refer to this option to install the weblogic server using the generic installation program (Installer version .jar).

  • install the EBS R12 (12.1.1) with Oracle 10 g on different nodes

    Hello

What would be the steps for installation of the R12, EBS (12.1.2) of oracle database 10 g on different nodes?
by default, 12.1.1 comes from oracle database 11g.

    There are basically 2 problems:
    1 instalation for R12 with oracle 10 g
    2 instalation on different nodes

as I read through the forums, for installation on different nodes, you must first install R12 on the database node, then take the config_SID.txt file to the applications node, and then install r12 with this config file. but there are two other issues:
    1. I do full instalation R12 on the database node, and then install complete on the node applications with the config file?
    2. the instalation is done always with database 11 g... but we want database 10 g.

    Hello

He said in the newspaper as R12 is it can be downloaded and installed... no matter if it comes with 10 g or 11 g.

    I agree.

After instalation complete (R12 apps + db) on the node database and complete instalation on the applications node (with the pointing to the created database configuration file)... do have to remove the APPL_TOP, COMM_TOP... of the database layer and leave only the RDBMS House? or what are the exact steps...

You don't have to remove all files, in fact, when you install the database on the database layer node fast install will not lay any of enforcement on this node (provided that you choose do not have enforcement on this node when you answer the question in fast Windows Installer). So, you should eventually have the database files and the ORACLE_HOME database on the DB layer node, then quick installation will allow to install the application files on the nodes of level APPS and application services.

  • Windows 7 for EBS R12

    Hi Hussein.

Our boss give us the new laptops Strip for our next big project so we will look smart :).
Since I am the first to choose I chose the 4 GB of ram, coz some have 3 GB.
We ask to install windows 7, so we don't pay license.
The problem is win I installed windows 7 is installed the 64-bit as the default value. I don't know why.
I can not install the jinitiators for firefox and ie8. I can't install my oracle customers.

    There are 64-bit jinitiators?
What surprised me is that the laptop 3 GB installed 32-bit, or I don't know what happened
because they can install jiniitiators and they can access EBS R12 and 11i using ie8 and firefox.

They said that my work around is to install vmware and install XP on top of my windows 7.

Are there other any opions better than these?
How do you choose the 32-bit windows 7? I couldn't have any choice when I installed it.

    Thank you very much

    Hello

You can install Apps 11i/R12 Oracle on Linux OS (Application/database levels). For the client tier, Firefox is certified as a browser on the Windows operating system only.

    2. If it's an environment of multi nodes, do I need to update on every single node?
    3. Here is the output of the command 'java-version'

    Java version "1.6.0_24".

    OpenJDK (IcedTea6 1.11.1) runtime environment (rhel - 1.45.1.11.1.el6 - x86_64)

    OpenJDK 64-bit Server VM (build 20, 0 - b12, mixed mode)

If I want to update to the latest java which is 1.8.xxx do I need to install the version 1.7.xx first?

    Thank you and best regards,

    Nadhrah

    Hello

    1. Check these documents:
Using the JDK 7.0 updated with Oracle E-Business Suite version 12.0 and 12.1 (Doc ID 1467892.1)
Deployment of JRE (Native plug-ins) for Windows customers in Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 (Doc ID 393931.1)
    2. Yes
    3. It is the Java software that comes with the operating system. It is not used by EBS.
JDK 7 is the version the most recent can be used by the application and database layers.
JRE 8 can be used with the client tier.

    Kind regards

  • Installing Oracle EBS R12.1.1 on MacBook

    Greetings,

I just want to clarify if Oracle EBS R12.1.1 can be installed on any Apple MacBook? I tried to install the Oracle database on an OS Snow Leopard, which was a success (a version of db is also available for Mac OS). Not sure if this is possible for BSE, while Mac OS is a flavor of the Unix operating system.

    Kind regards
    Vik

    Vik,

Mac OS is not certified as a node in application/database layer, so you can not install Oracle EBS R12 on this OS.

    Thank you
