I want a warning on abandonment.

I use the command + W to close the windows. Unfortunately I often press command + Q by mistake and quit Firefox when I'm not. Back when used to ask if I wanted to save my Firefox tabs, that gave me the possibility to cancel to quit. But now there is nothing to prevent the huge pain in the neck having to restart Firefox and wait a zillion tabs and pages to load.

Please put in a choice to be warned before leaving anyway.

You can set the preferences of warning on the topic: config page true via the context menu or toggle the value with a double click of the left.

I finally got Hibernate to work so that the computer into hibernation with success until the battery drops below 10%.  In previous versions of Windows, we would get a warning message to a greater percentage of the battery so that we can grasp the plug and avoid the nuisance of hibernation in the workplace.  Now, the computer begins to go into hibernation without warning.  Is it possible to add a warning message with a higher percentage battery, so that the process of hibernation gives a heads up?

Read the following article and the and the free download included.  Although Vista does not provide the option, this software can do what you need. http://www.pctipsbox.com/laptop-battery-monitoring-for-vista-and-xp/.

  • warning message 'Patrol abandoned in the PD 07 (e0xfc/s3) reading' in UCS

My (CUCM, CUCXN and UCCX) Applications are running on NGC. I'm not a guy to data center and not okay with the UCS.

When I went through newspapers in storage in the MMIC, I found a warning message "abandoned in the PD 07(e0xfc/s3) patrol read.

What does it mean and what actions should be taken?

    Thank you

Hi patrol abandoned reading could mean a number of things. However, it relates to the raid controller has a problem.

What is your model of blade UCS?

    Hit you very probably one of these bugs;

I recommend you watch these bugs and see if the fit your situation. If possible to open a folder with TAC so that these can determine whether it is one of these bugs or a faulty raid controller.

  • Boring OME warning for the PERC battery learning cycle

Hello and happy new year to all

As you may be understood from my previous posts, we have a fleet of Dell servers in a Windows domain supported by v2.0.1.2222 OpenManage Essentials (OME).

Every 90 days (or almost) the PERC battery enter a learning cycle. There is a (2176 ID) event in the system event viewer from the server host which, I presume, triggers OME to create an alarm. The unit was then a warning state. After a few hours the unit goes back to normal.

I guess this is normal but I don't want email warning for something that is essentially a test. I don't want to get into the habit of ignoring warnings (lose a drive in a RAID array is also considered as a warning, which I think is rather cavalier).

What is the best practice, that I can use for these warnings?

    Thanks in advance.

    John

Hi and happy new year to you also.

Thanks for your post. For such events that are safe, which are essentially intended to test or are periodic and mean no harm to you, may be ignored more precisely. Do not ignore any alerts warning. Just right click on the alert and select this option to ignore the specific alert. This will help you get all the other alerts from your servers let it be normal or critical attention. It will be useful.

  • Warning Validation Workflow

Hi, how you suggest we have a warning message on a workflow validation?  We do not stop the user from workflowing a spec if some fields are not filled, but we want a warning message.  We looked through the documentation on the validation framework, and we have no ' see everything that deals with this scenerio.

    Thank you!

    Hi Mike,.

My question is where would you except the warning message to be displayed?

When you click the workflow button in the window display of the product specification, it will appear a window of flow of work, and then in the window when you click on "forward" icon to move it to the "approved" status

    There are 2 cases:

1.Typically, the pop-up window will redirect to another page to allow you to choose the owner owner/notification, owner of signature application. And after you choose users, the popup window will close and the parent window of the product specification will be refreshed

    2. If all users are automatically selected, then the pop-up window will be closed directly and the parent window of the product specification will be refreshed.

To cover both cases, I think that you can only put the warning message to the parent window of the product in your design specification (in fact, technically, we no longer support the notification Panel extension in the pop up window page).

Refreshing a single beep, if you choose to use the notification Panel extension, this means whenever the window product specification, the warning message will be displayed.

So not only just after the workflow of "approved" status.

The behavior actually might be: If your spec is "authorized" status see/Modify/save this specification will always see the warning message on the page.

    Thank you

  • Is there anyway to make Acrobat DC Pro (Win) pop up a warning dialog box before you print a PDF file?

We have several very large PDFs on our web site that some want to have access to print. We don't mind them print the PDF files, but want to warn with a dialog box pop up that PDF files are hundreds of pages.  Is this possible with Acrobat Pro DC?

    Thank you

    Dave

    Hello

It's absolutely to do a custom pop dialog that warn you when there is a big pdf for printing.

However you will need JavaScript to create a code to perform this function.

You can see the following link for the same.

  • Time Machine deleted messages on an external drive to the trash can on iMac are taking place on the hard drive?

I am struggling with a computer, try to empty the trash with 1million 300,000 Time machine backup files. It runs for two days now and won't install. At this rate, I'll need a week before my computer becomes viable. I don't feel able to go to the Terminal to do the trick. Also at this point, I'm afraid to stop the process again... Backups on an external drive of pigs 400 GB on my drive hard imac... I have so little room to work right now. I deleted some 200,000 files already yet the storage on my imac HD has not moved. The files in the Recycle Bin of the external drive really live on my hd now until they will be deleted if all goes well before Christmas?

I have a new computer to come next week so I'm wondering if I'll just reformat my entire hd in my imac to solve this problem... Any ideas?

You do all this in the Finder?

Time Machine has to delete the files from the user interface, normally "browsing Time Machine backup", navigate to the desired folder, and select the option "delete all backups of...» ». This is the approved way that should work.

If you are manually dragging the items in the trash of in a Time Machine backup, it can choke. Time Machine stores data with many levels of access control permissions & Finder seems to have difficulties to remove to empty the trash. In fact, I think that the TM drive has limits to prevent normal users to change data on this disk.

Personally, I think your safest option is to abandon the process, restart, erase and reformat the Time Machine drive. Who will lose all history backups but again in a clean condition seems to be better than trying to manually prune the Time Machine data. Time Machine removes old backups when it is full - so you shouldn't really need to intervene like this anyway.

Wait and see if anyone has a better idea.

P.S., each disk has its own "basket", so doing drag items should not fill your Mac startup disk. Maybe the operating system is out of memory, try to process all the files, exit other applications & see if that changes anything, you may have to wait just if you want to avoid to abandon the process.

  • I think I received a text of scam, to say that my ID Apple has been locked and offering a link to fix the problem.  Has anyone received it?

Today I got a text from a mobile phone no, informing me that my ID Apple has been locked.  I did not answer or clicking on the link sent in the message, because I suspect that it's maybe a scam.

I was able to connect to Apple in order to send this message, which proves that the text is not authentic. I just want to warn others.

    Hello

Clicking on the link, you have made the right choice.

You can report the message to Apple by following the steps detailed here:

  • I would like to know how to prevent messages sent to be registered on the SMTP server

Currently, my Thunderbird client saves a copy of all messages sent to the folder "sent", as expected. All sent messages are also stored on the Server SMTP (G-Mail in this case). To avoid having to delete them manually, I want to warn the outgoing message to be stored on the SMTP server in the first place. Currently, my account of Thunderbird for Copies and folders settings has a check mark next to the option 'Other' with a destination of the folder option sent in Thunderbird. I don't see any other parameters that could control how sent SMTP mail server handles. I use the POP service only with the G-Mail Server. What settings should be in place to prevent messages accumulate in the folder "sent" on the SMTP server account?

I think I can now answer my own question! The question turns out to be a g-mail not delivered not a factor controlled by Thunderbird.

Apparently g-mail can automatically a copy of all mail sent by SMTP service one account. It's a "feature" that cannot be disabled! A workaround seems to be to set up a filter in g-mail account settings for all mail with an address corresponding to your own email address and send the message to the trash folder. Items in the Recycle Bin are automatically deleted after 30 days. Google prevents the rule 30 days being modified by measure of security, but at least trashed messages for irrevocably removed in a month.

  • Refresh regarded as harmful

Howdy; I'm a bit frustrated at what has become a chore to 3 hours after to make the upgrade more formidable, it is for me - Firefox. I'll try to keep it civil.

One of the things that has consumed a lot of my time is that I fell into the trap of "cool". This has not solved anything for me - I'm not a Windows user with a bunch of malware that needed to rely on the equivalent of Ctrl-alt-del Firefox. I am a 50 year old programmer who has just confirmed a really weird bug see~ J99with this software. What WAS accomplished, however, was an (extra) hour staring (again) all the many things on by default firefox settings of user interface that I hate (for example, icons cluttering up the bookmarks bar, quit the browser when I close the last tab, etc, etc.). Each of them a little (or not-so-little) operational research.

Of course it must be supposed to be registered on my "office" - but I do not work like that. I do not have a folder ~/Desktop as I live my life w/a few terminals (often under a Publisher), a browser that frustrates me more and more and the occasional application that I launch a menu minimalist or directly to the output of a command line. No ' ~ / Desktop "for me, because I do not use the thing - I never see him even as I use 4 virtual desktops, each filled with a window.

So no ~/Desktop means apparently that all my settings went "poof". Or maybe they recorded somewhere. I fixed most of them now anyway.

Have I been more careful? Sure. And I paid the price. This post is not about me however. It is on the support and the attitude about it.

When y ' All lawyer people a step this radical - which, incidentally, is a knee-jerk reaction "plug it / turn on" which means that your users are idiots - you really need to put a big old red flag next to him who says: 'be careful when doing this because it could ruin your day. As it did mine.

I expect that change? Not really. But now I feel better to waste 3 hours on an another hellish Firefox upgrade.

    One last thing.

If you're wondering why I'm going through this exercise, it's simple.

I want that there is something to the top on this forum who could actually serve as a warning that I don't have. I had a few subtleties. I want a warning. Here it is now, just in the title of the post.

Maybe I saved someone else from 30 to 60 minutes.

    Thank you.

  • do I need antivirus with mozilla software

    Hello

You can go to any independent antivirus Tester such as:

You can do more research on Google or any other search engine to find out what would be best for you. I want to warn you not to download anything from any site, unless it is on the official website - for example if you download Avira, don't download any site other than http://avira.com/

Microsoft does not plan to release more updates for Windows XP, it is recommended that you upgrade your operating system. This does not mean it will not always be usable however, you just need to be more careful.
