I'm a software developer want to learn ios for this development, I want to buy a macbook. But I'm in great confusion what macbook should I buy, I was thinking of buying the Macbook Air 13 inch 2015 model with core i5-1.6 ghz, 4 GB of ram and 128 GB of storage. I would like to ask all ios developers there is this configuration will be good for me because I am with money for macbook pro, so please help me guys. Thank you

I'm not a developer, but I know you're going to need a macbook pro. It's too slow a processor to do what you are wanting to do wayyyyyyyyyyyyy. 1.6 ghz is for normal tasks such as navigation. You certainly need to do a few upgrades to the Air of Macbook 13 inch if you are wanting to do the development. I suggest strongly a faster processor and at least 8 GB of RAM. You will want to get a Macbook you will have more work, because it will have a much shorter life if abuse you it, that is why I suggest the Pro. Have you checked the refurbished Macbook Pro? I think you could find one close to your price range! If this isn't the case, except a little bit of money, it is not too hard!

Here is a link to the refurbished macbook pro (these go all the same tests as the new mac Cross and have the same guarantee)

    http://www.Apple.com/Shop/Browse/home/specialdeals/Mac/Macbook_pro/13

There is one that I see for $1 099,00 with the 8 GB of RAM (you save $200 normal price), is only $100 more than the macbook air you're wanting. Totally worth buying the macbook pro and then

  • Best Macbook for Uni/accounting?

Hi, I'm hoping to go to University the year next to study accounting and finance. Yesterday I bought the new gray Space 12 '' Macbook Online (without testing in-store), however I am now questioning if it was the right decision, as almost all the critics have said that the 13 "Macbook Pro than the Macbook at all levels (in addition to being more heavy/less portable). I'm 17 and I am not very well informed about the technological differences - but for now I don't seem to get on with the Macbook, it has a very small keyboard and it is almost too light so he could be comfortable on my lap, etc., but it must just be endured. If I work in the offices of accounting on investments as well as to take around Uni, what Macbook would be better for me?

I'd appreciate really no help from any good Apple fans informed. Thank you!

Probably not a Macbook at all, there is a shortage of good accounting software for Macs. A portable powerful Windows would be better and (b) cheaper.

  • Should what MacBook Pro I buy?

    Hey everybody,

If I had a question that is probably pretty common on this site, but what MacBook Pro should I buy?

I'll start my first semester of College this fall, and while I'm still contemplating Windows machines, I'm almost certain at this point, I would get a MacBook Pro.  Currently, I plan to study computing, so I tell myself that I might need a computer a bit bigger than some for some of my classes.  I know now that I do some light programming (an intro to programming course), and in general, I'm a nice user-oriented.  It's really my only problem with Macs is that the price is really high here.  Don't get me wrong, I've owned an iMac in the past, and they are fine machines, but they are certainly costly compared to Windows machines depending on what you get the material.  In any case, I honestly think I could live with everything in the basic model of the 13-inch MacBook Pro 2015 model, except for the dual-core processor.  I'd like to drop $2,000 on a 15 inch with a quad-core model, but it is a little more that I want to go, and while I probably could afford it, it would be cut close.  I looked into buying refurbished models and units of other years as 2014, 2013, etc., but it is uneven, at best, and again, the prices are quite high.  In fact, my main question is, programming on a processor dual-core i5 in a MacBook Pro (and other intensive tasks from the computer) would be a comfortable experience?  And not only swift, but other languages like Java as well.  Any help would be appreciated, especially by someone who has been in a similar situation before, or someone who has an intensive experience of programming and other tasks from the computer to the machine in question.

    Thank you!

    Sincerely,

    Aschenputtel

  • What Macbook should I buy AutoCAD?

    Hello!

I just want to ask, what macbook should I buy AutoCAD? I plan to buy the Macbook Air w / core i5 but I saw in some discussions that it is not recommended for autocad... is this true?

BTW... I am a student in engineering, and I'll use it at school it's why I do not prefer the Macbook Pro because it's big, bulky and heavy. I want the Macbook Air because it's elegant, light and it fits into my bag. And also I need the cheapest possible that's why I prefer really the model of Air. (because I'm just a student and my savings from my job part-time is not big so my budget is tight and only around $ 400-600)

I need it after this break.

Thank you! Prospects for a helpful answer.

I'm not familiar with the application, but I suggest that you contact the school and get recommendations from them for minimum requirements as well as the developer of the software.

    Ciao.

  • Is it possible to exchange a macbook for a macbook air?

I want to know if its possible to Exchange my Macbook for a Macbook air free or not free because when I download something on the internet for mac and I have to open the download file, that it says mount failed or it cannot read the file, ITS A DMG FILE NOT A EXE also most of the things that I download are for other versions of mac and I'm trying to update my mac by clicking on the icon Apple and update, then yes also something also won't work as when I go to a website like math splash because his homework and I can't do it on my mac, I'd use my windows but I love my mac because that his laptop and also I feel that my mac is no longer supported for nothing I feel like that because I have an older version of itunes this setting to day can't because it says it cannot connect to the itunes server then Yes please answer and here are the details of my mac: Version 10.4.11 model identifier 2.1 Build 8S 2167 then Yes please please please please! answer so I don't have to get an OTHER COMPUTER im my house thank you and please answer!

Apple does not have the times. If the computer is new and within 14 days from the date of purchase, then you can return it for an Exchange. It will probably not be free. However, you must understand that the problem you described is not caused by the model of computer you have, and it will not fix another computer or another. Given the age of your model, the best you can expect is for sale on eBay, although there are retailers such as Expercom.com which will give you something in trade. But for those who have it won't be much.

For the model that you have you need to back up your files, the boot from your OS X DVD, erase the drive, then reinstall OS X and also far that you can improve it - which is probably the leopard to snow you can buy on the Apple Online Store for $19.00 plus taxes and shipping.

  • What MacBook Pro is better for my situation?

    Hello, guys.

Could you please help me decide which MacBook Pro is the best for my situation?

Currently, I chose between these models:

    • MacBook Pro 15 "2.2 GHz / RAM 16 / 256 GB of storage / Iris Pro
    • MacBook Pro 15 "(2.8) of 2.5 GHz / RAM 16 / 256 GB of storage / Iris Pro"
    • MacBook Pro 15 "2.5 GHz / RAM 16 / 512 GB of storage / AMD Radeon R9 M370X (2 GB)

    I'll use the laptop for:

    • Webdesign. I work in Photoshop all day and it was sometimes messy (major projects, many of those open simultaneously, etc..). Theoretically, I would like for my laptop to be able to handle perfectly Photoshop, Illustrator and inDesign workflow, maybe even at the same time. Of course, all will be loaded up for the most part, but it should be imperceptible to work on projects of large size in Photoshop runs alone.
    • Audio engineering. Recording/mixing/mastering audio as a hobby, which may require use of the processor 4 do. My current laptop (2.3 GHz Dual Core Intel i5 - 2410 M) cannot manage even the basics of what I need for comfort work with audio. Usually it is around 10-15 tracks, stock and third-party plugins sometimes. I omit the part that the new laptop should have completely no problems with recording audio through audio interface (no cracks, dents, noises and other things caused by lack of CPU and RAM). I guess that each of these three Mac is capable of a fluent audio recording, the question arises on the comfortable audio processing in the future.
    • Navigation. I know that sounds ridiculous, but there are times that my laptop current can't live through an intense session of navigation. About 20-25 tabs with mixed content (text for most, a couple of video opened online). I use Google Chrome, which is quite noticeable on the CPU, but it's my personal preference in terms of browser.
    • Web development. I would like to be able to make everything about web development fast and easy. That shouldn't be the problem, since even my laptop current meets my needs developing. Just let it be worth mentioning.

Given the above information, I can make a conclusion that I need:

    • Retina display, press each tiny pixel on the screen of work related to graphic design
    • Reasonably fast CPU and RAM

Initially, the more powerful MacBook Pro (with default 2.5 GHz and AMD video card) seemed like a logical option. However, after reading about the AMD video card I noticed that it is still lower than the average of those on the market (judging on the benchmark). Therefore, it seems that there is no reason to pay more for just a video card, comparing to the stack by default a cheaper model (the 15 "MacBook Pro 2.2 GHz/256 GB of storage). 0.3 GHz of processor is imperceptible, and the lack of hard disk space may be justified by external USB storage or by configuring the cheaper model for more storage by itself. The main difference is the video card. Please, correct me if I'm wrong on this conclusions.

Therefore, I came to decide what configuration is best with regard to the less expensive version of the MacBook Pro 15 ", the 2.2 GHz (default) or 2.5/2.8 GHz (configured). Consider the following:

    • I'm dependent on a budget; slice of 100 dollars, in fact, issue
    • My priority is a seamless workflow without any freeze for 5 minutes and loading/closing time take up to 10 minutes, as it does now
    • It is not important if a graphic/audio project takes longer to make, but it is important to work freely during production
    • I don't mind having an external USB storage, as long as he has a decent read/write speed (external USB flash are available for Macs, right?)
    • Design or audio are not my original recipes, rather a freelance opportunities or leisure

I'd be really grateful if you could answer some of these questions and help me decide:

    • If I had to choose between 2.2 GHz to 2.8 GHz boost or 256 GB of storage on 512 GB, which is more reasonable storage boost?
    • Is there a really significant difference in the performance of the tasks that have been mentioned between 2.2 GHz and 2.5 GHz/2.8 GHz?
    • No AMD video card makes a huge difference in terms of working with graphics? (Of course, he does, but it would be nice to take a look at the difference in the form of a chart or a reference; if it is not dramatic, then pay more for the video card makes no sense for me)
    • Then Iris Pro (which comes with 2.2 GHz cheaper option) handle some minor games like World of Warcraft or Diablo 3? Not necessary on ultra or high settings, but on those that make the game playable and enjoyable. (Is not necessary, but it would have been a considerable advantage, because even though I'm not a hardcore gamer, it's nice to play some old games favorite from time to time)

Thanks for your opinions and suggestions!

If you select I would recommend 512 GB drive. Media projects can become very large, and I suspect that you also like to have pictures of the reserve, textures, etc available all the time. I'm not a professional graphic designer, but I create brochures and documents as well as videos of 15-20 minutes and on a 256 GB drive I will decide on a project, move everything turned off, and then start a new project. Sometimes, when I had several projects going at the same time I had to decide which awkward solution was the best.

Video Intel Iris Pro is better than I expected and I can play Diablo 3 on my MBP to 2015 on higher than smaller settings. I always use CS 5.5 because I refuse to rent my graphics software, so I don't know the State of the current Adobe software but I know that some users are griping on the 3D graphics and lower end GPU processors. I suggest you check out the Adobe forums.

  • Should what macbook I buy?

I think to buy a macbook pro (currently on windows), but the problem is that I don't know which.

I need for the University (programs such as visual studio, microsoft word/powerpoint/excel... and others) and daily use (web, watching videos, listening to music...).

First of all, I have a few questions about the mac in general:

1 - in my University computers are running windows 8/10, so it would cause me problems when you transfer files from my mac to windows, and vice versa?

2 - the files that run on windows would stop work on mac, and vice versa?

3-can I use the same USB for mac and windows or it is formatted with an operating system at the same time?

4 - install windows on my mac make it slower, or trolling?

    Now, on the mac:

I hesitate between the 13 "and 15" macbook pro

For the use that I mentioned earlier, that one is the most suitable for me?

If the 13 ", should which model I buy? Same question for the 15 ".

4-do I need a dedicated graphics card (model the more expensive 15 ")?

5-do I need more than 8 GB of RAM?

    6. specifically, what exactly are the specifications I need (RAM and especially the i5/i7 processor and GHz)?

And my last question is: should I wait for the new macbook pro being released (rumor one with a bar of OLED) so that the current model gets cheaper?

Bonus question: honestly, do I really need a MacBook or any windows computer would be great for me?

If you could answer my questions, I would really appreciate it, it would be much clearer for me

1 in my University computers are running windows 8/10, so it would cause me problems when you transfer files from my mac to windows, and vice versa?

File transfer should cause no problems for most of the cases (USB, more on this later, transfer by Internet, Dropbox, mail) implementation on the network to share files takes a little effort, however, is possible.

2 - files that run on windows will stop working on mac, and vice versa? (I need to perform an operation before the file transfer?)

Not really. For example, if you get MS Office on mac, it will work when you send it to a windows machine and vice versa, but if you are using Apple pages, microsoft cannot read .pages files while mac may lire.doc/.docx and if you convert .pages in .doc/.docx, sometimes the elements on the page will be move due on mac features that are not on windows or vice versa. As well as the fonts are different.

3-can I use the same USB for mac and windows or it is formatted with an operating system at the same time?

You can format for both, but with limitations, for example, if you want to use Apple's Time Machine (I recommend that you do), the player must be in a specific format, which is be the one who does not read windows.

4-installed windows on my mac makeup it's slower, or lag?

Not really, unless you are low on storage. I strongly suggest to do a mac with storage capacity more if you want to run two operating systems strongly. In addition, if you do not use bootcamp to Apple to achieve this goal, and use third-party virtual machines parts then Yes, it will (then), because you're running two OS at the same time, but not as long as Windows is not active.

    Now, on the mac:

I hesitate between the 13 "and 15" macbook pro

For the use that I mentioned earlier, that one is the most suitable for me?

The main thing that differentiates the two are just the size of the screen, unless you want a graphics card dedicated, more on that later. Don't forget, the laptop should ideally keep in your handbag etc and go into an Apple store to see if you are more comfortable wear around the 13' or 15'. The weight is also a factor to consider.

If the 13 ", should which model I buy? Same question for the 15 "

It is up to you, and what is the weight of your work will be. In fact, if you are only going to make presentations, word and excel. Even a MacBook Air would suffice.

4-do I need a dedicated graphics card (model the more expensive 15 ")?

Will you do anything intensive graphics? CGI, rendering, CAD/CAM, etc. The graphics card is mainly for that... and the games.

5-do I need more than 8 GB of RAM?

Once more, depends on how much weighs your workload, your specifications are quite vague and appear to be light, so 8 GB should be enough.

    6. specifically, what exactly are the specifications I need (especially the i5/i7 processor and GHz)? (if you answer question 6 do not 4-5)

In addition, depends on how strongly you plan to use the device.

And my last question is: should I wait for the new macbook pro being released (rumor one with a bar of OLED) so that the current model gets cheaper?

We are not allowed to speculate on future devices on this Web page because it is in violation of the terms of use.

Bonus question: honestly, do I really need a MacBook or any windows computer would be great for me?

If you could answer my questions, I would really appreciate it, it would be much clearer for me.

In general, Apple provides a better tied together interface, this is useful if you already have several Apple devices as they will be able to interact more effectively with others. The requirements that you said are very simple, and in fact, any device would suffice. However, if you get a MacBook, you can have peace of mind knowing that you might be less susceptible to virus attacks and other similar issues. You never 'need' anything in particular, it is always what you want. And it's up to you.

    I hope this helps.

  • Cannot transfer a file PDF of MacBook for iPad

I have a MacBook Pro 13 inch 2012 running on OS X El Capitan, version 10.11.6. I also have an iPad 2014 Air running on iOS, version 9.3.4. I'm trying to transfer a file PDF of the MacBook to the iPad. However, when I try to use iTunes to synchronize a selected PDF file, the following message appears:

"Are you sure you want to remove the existing music, movies, TV shows, books and shades of the iPad and the sync with this iTunes library? Music, movies, TV shows, books and tones synchronized to [the iPad name] from other iTunes libraries will be removed and the items will be synchronized from this iTunes library. »

Message offers two options: 'Cancel' or 'delete and synchronize.

After having done some research on this question, I understand that the problem is that my iPad is supposed to be linked to a different iTunes library. In fact, however, my iPad has always been tied to the iTunes library. I guess that the "confusion", if you want to, is the fact that I recently changed my Apple ID because my ID original Apple gave me problems (the iPad was constantly asking me to type my password Apple ID).

In fact, my question is this: what happens if I click on "Remove and Sync?

All the music on my iPad will be removed and changed with all the music on my MacBook? I don't want to do. I have many, many more songs on my MacBook I do on my iPad. I don't want all these songs on my iPad, because of limited space on the iPad. (I put iTunes so that my music will not be synchronized automatically whenever I connect the iPad to the MacBook).

Or else I'll lose only PDF files that I have on my iPad, which is replaced by PDF files I have sync with the iPad? (After all, I will ask only the Sync system in PDF format, not another thing). I wouldn't mind this scenario too, because I currently do not have that many PDFs on the iPad in any case.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hello Jack,.

Thanks for your question.  I understand you wanting to sync PDFs of your MacBook Pro to your iPad Air.  However, how you've changed your Apple ID, the computer considers that you try to synchronize your iPad to a different iTunes Library.

If you have not backed up your iPad, I suggest you do that first.   Then, check what you want to sync on iTunes again and select "Remove and Sync."  This will replace the contents of your iPad with only the items you selected for synchronization of your iTunes library.

Below are some resources about management of PDF files using the iBooks app.  One of these methods may be easier for you.
