What OS you install?  Windows 7 full or system OEMs for personal use?

I know that you are supposed to use only system integrators if you want to resell but im wondering if anyone has used the OEM version for personal use?

I heard on CNET how the OEM version it blocks on a computer, but with the full version, you can install it on your computer next if you build a new.

It's just better get the full version?

Any thoughts?

Thanks: GLenn

Glenn,

There is nothing to sell in the System Builder Pack.

It can ONLY be distributed with a fully assembled computer system.

It must also be preinstalled on the hard drive of the computer system completely assembled, using the preinstallation OEM (OPK).

Definitions:

b. distribution and distribute means the point in time, when a client system leaves your control.

Preinstallation of software

1. for each unit of software in the Pack, you must pre-install a copy of the software on a client system before its distribution. If the software includes several language versions, you must only install one language.

I note the last words to Adobe, because they have a such crazy Installer than some diligent cleanup of license agreements, speech recognition modules and the other language related stuff in the installation of Production Premium will result in about 2 000 deleted and 1 600 files + directories.

I asked several times to clean the installer, so I do not get the license agreements in 42 different languages for each of the programs in the suite.

This practice makes install once more, pulls down performance and fills the space on the disk, without any value.

I don't understand that they are unable to follow Microsofts example as shown above.

In addition, on the HARD drive should at least 150-200 MB of free space available.
This free space must be on the end of the HARD drive and there must be unallocated.
To get this free space of HDD the 3 products part must be used namely Partitions magic 8

original title: windows 7 gamer edition

Download of software on these sites can be very risky, because the origin of the files are usually edited and its quite possible that they could have injected malicious code in it.

Windows 7 Gamer edition is not a developed Microsoft or affiliated with the product, what appears to be a customized image of Windows 7 that authors customized to remove or add Windows components, which can also be very problematic.

You use something that no one can help you consider he has probably been reverse engineered and probably injected by a malicious code like spyware (keyloggers, rootkits, worms, viruses). I suggest you stick to Windows 7 Ultimate, this is the most complete edition of Windows 7, anyone can have.

  • which partition to install windows 7 on new system

I just bought a new laptop without system. I got a copy of windows 7 Home premium 64-bit to put on.

The hard drive is 1000 GB and is divided into 4
Name: Total size: free space: Type
    Disk 0 partition 1 GB 29.3, 29.2 GB system
    Disk 0 partition 2 GB 29.3, 29.2 GB primary
    Disk 0 unallocated space go-go 871.8 871.8
    Partition of drive 0 3: LENOVO_PART 1.1 GB 457.0 MB OEM (reserved)
I know not to touch the OEM, but the marked partition system used allows to install because it is formatted in FaT32 and said it requires NTFS. 2 other partitions are viable, but I don't know which one to use. My instinct would be to go to the primary partition scored because I think that space, it would be OK and keep the operating system from everything that will go on the laptop. But I don't know about you. What do you guys suggest?

The System Partition "Disk 0 partition 1 is where you would put it.

To be honest, I would just remove everything and do a fresh install and create more partitions after.

Are you sure there is no operating system already located on the OEM (reserved) file, you can use to install Windows? Because what is the meaning of keep if you already use a different installation media?

New computers coming often pre-installed with Windows 7 have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure. To access it, you need to start when you start your computer by pressing a function key. This can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12 key DEL or tab. See the manual that came with your PC for instructions on how to reinstall Windows.

This is how the recovery partition is accessible to most popular brands...

    http://www-307.IBM.com/PC/support/site.WSS/document.do?lndocid=MIGR-4HWSE3

Computers laptops Lenovo include a function called the Lenovo OneKey Recovery button, which is used to boot into the recovery environment and to reinstall Windows.

    ---------------------

If you still want to use the installation media you have, follow these steps:

Boot from the Windows 7 DVD

    Click Install now

    Accept the license agreement

When the option is displayed to select a type of installation, click (Custom advanced)

    Click on drive Options

Select the disc/s click on Delete

    Click new

    Click on apply

    Click OK

Click Format, and then click next to proceed with the installation

  • Should I install Windows 7 64 bit, while I am currently using 32 bits?

care should I install windows 7 64 bit, while I am currently using my system 32-bit hard 80 GB, pentium d 3.00 ghz processor, 2 GB ram, vga 256

    Original title: windows7 64-bit

    Hello

It is not necessary to install Windows 7 64 bit instead of 32-bit.

    Your RAM is only 2GBs.

benefits of 64-bit is designed for and tested with the system of at least 4GBs RAM hardware and more.

"32-bit and 64-bit Windows: frequently asked questions.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/32-bit-and-64-bit-Windows-frequently-asked-questions

    This applies to you:

What version of Windows 7 should I install: the 32-bit version or the 64-bit version?

To install a 64 bit version of Windows 7, you need a processor that is capable of running a 64-bit version of Windows. The benefits of using a 64-bit operating system are especially visible when you have a large amount of RAM (RAM) installed on your computer, typically 4 GB RAM or more. In this case, because a 64-bit operating system can handle large amounts of memory more effective than a 32-bit operating system, a 64-bit system can be more responsive when you run several programs at once and switching between them frequently.
