  Currently, I'm using VMware Workstation 11 to connect to vCenter server. I do not administer VMware infrastructure but need to download VMs in vCenter Server on my local computer by using the workstation. However, when I try to do that, I get the error message "vim.fault.NoPermission." I have permission "Virtual virtual machine download Machine.Provisioning.Allow", but this doesn't seem to be enough. What are the additional permissions do I need to achieve this.

  Also as a separate issue. What permissions are needed to download a VM on vCenter. We do not need this feature initially, but it would be nice to know if we want to implement in the future.

  So after enough effort, I solved my problem. One of the things I noticed is that whenever I tried to do a download from the workstation, I noticed a newspaper get created called OVFTool.log. That's what tipped me off to this particular process using the OVFTool to run and complete the operation. This data, I started researching the permissions needed to perform operations using the OVFTool. I came across this article from VMware:

  Permissions are a legacy feature that predate the acquisition of VMware Orchestrator. When prioritizing the work of documentation required for the vCO 4.0, permissions and policies slipped to the bottom of the list, because these features duplicate functionality that vCenter provides.

  We do not recommend that you use vCO permissions or policies.

  You always have an installer for GarageBand 11?  An installation of iLife 11 DVD or the DVD Installer original system for snowLeopard with applications for funding?

  You can install GarageBand 11 of these media, if you set the date system your mac to a date until the installer has been released. Then, the certificate will be valid.

  Is the CD you have an XP bootable installation CD authentic or some kind of restore CD provided with your system (they are not the same thing).  If it's a CD of Windows, this Service Pack is on the CD?

  Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

  If the system works, what do you think might have changed since the last time it did not work properly?

  What is your Service Pack installed?  If you are not sure, do the following:

  Click Start, run and enter in the box:

  Msinfo32

  Click on OK and when the system info summary appears, click on Edition, select all, copy, and then paste the results here.

I get a message that Windows File Protection is! and he says that "files which are required for Windows to run properly must be copied into the DLL cache" that I know, but I do not know why this has happened... I think it happened because of an update which took place about 2 days ago cause that is when it started, but I've tried all t0 get rid of it. I tried to disable using "regedit" in the run screen and it did not help... I need help with fixing this. I don't have my copy of Windows XP Professional Moose because this Pc is old, and I just kept to upgrade.   Thanks to all who tried to help, it means a lot!  I have no idea what happens but I tried to run a complete scan with antivirus program McAfee I was BTW it was free because of the internet service gave to me to be a customer with them, (I guess they have an ongoing case) not much of a cause I had nothing else problems with McAfee all for about 5 years and they are so much better programs out there (to new my opinion) but on with my story so whenever I tried to run a full scan or fast he rode every time error cannot start scan try again and so on, so I called them and they could not understand what the problem was and finally reinstalled but it doesn't work and of course they wanted me to buy a version... So I said forget it and went with one of the best Antivirus out there (my opinion only) programs free and it scanned and found some articles ad and he never came back! So I'm lucky so far and happy! Once again thanks to Jose @ and @ John for help and getting back to me, that shows the high level of awareness and dedication... So thank you to you two! I have no idea of what the problem was I think that he had with the Ad-ware and anti virus program does not properly and somehow obtained a "bug" If you want to. I was wondering something quick you guys like Avast Internet security because I've had some people said he is well worth and had some interesting features, I personally put AVG but I was wondering about obtaining notice!
