What printer to buy?

I bought a Photosmart Premium 420 series... hate it.  I need to replace and want a printer for home use which is as simple as possible.  Will not print, print mainly black and white sketches but need Office sometimes and with the color print quality.  Don't want to tell me every day that my magenta (etc.) becomes weak or who won't let me print in black so my magenta (etc.) is empty.  Don't want to take 45 seconds to reset the cartridges before it will print a page of project quality I want RIGHT NOW.  I had a C4200 AIO before that I liked.  HP makes one of those more?  Thank you.

Hello

Unfortunately, the office jet and the smart picture you cannot print with low color cartridges. The only one who can give you this possibility was the office jet 4500.

Now, you can try and purchase LaserJet, which some of these units will give you the option of monochrome printing.

  • HP Photosmart B209a more: what printer active uses 364 cartridges?

My HP Photosmart Plus B209a reports a phantom paper jam and I forgot to fix that.   If I replace this machine I want to use my big stock of 364 genuine cartridges, then should what active printer I buy?  Help please.

    Hey @Brambley,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I see you have a problem with a false paper jam in the printer Photosmart Plus B209a all-in-one. I can help you with that.

To start, make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector. Once done, this document explains How to solve paper jam errors on your printer.

If after following the above, you cannot clear the jam, the printer will need to be replaced. You can contact the HP Support by clicking this link and fill out the form below to see what are the options available to them. When you do so, they should be able to offer a model that uses the same cartridges, or they may be able to swap cartridges for you.

Please let me know the results after following the above. If you are able to clear the jam or come up with a solution, please click on accept solution. If you appreciate my help, please click on the thumbs up icon. The two icons are below this post.

  • I have photoshop element 11 and does not convert to CMYK. What should I buy to get the printable work?

I buy photoshop element 11 because it says on the box that we could print yourself or by professional but they the RGB is not good enough for their even if printers I optimizing it. I need to do a lot of design for print. What should I buy then?

At the time where ever we talk about several projects page, InDesign is what you really need. Illustrator certainly has the edge when it comes to exceptionally sophisticated vector operations, but really, it doesn't support features story layout and several pages in the way that InDesign.

Note, however, that Illustrator and InDesign are professional graphics programs top of range with fairly steep learning curves.

    Hello

It's an odd question since this machine with this operating system is REALLY REALLY REALLY old. If you do not want to use a printer of opportunity then I suggest to H.P. older deskjet series (e.g. 870 C or 870Cxi] I had a few years ago, the 800 series with a parallel port on a Tecra 8100 with then first and went from Windows 98 to Windows 2000. It works perfectly under the two systems.

Hope that helps a little... :)

It doesn't seem to be anything the given that this happens no matter what printer print on the printer. Any program, I use the same thing also happens.

  • What type of DVD should I buy to burn my Windows Movie Maker movie? Also, I have Windows DVD Maker, but no DVD burner. What should I buy?

I created a movie in Movie Maker.  I bought some DVD + r's - the correct burn the movie on?  Also, I don't have a burner, I thought that I did, I can only burn a CD what should I buy?  I don't have a Windows DVD authoring program.

    Hi rondah,.

Welcome to the Microsoft community newsgroups.

The type of recordable DVD, you need to use depends on your DVD burner, as well as on your DVD player. Some DVD burners can burn only to certain types of DVD recordable. For example, with some DVD burners, you can only record to DVD + R discs or DVD + RW or DVD-R or DVD - RW discs, while some other DVD burners will let you burn on all of these recordable DVD types.

As long as your DVD burner supports burning to these types of discs, you can use Windows DVD creation to burn a DVD using one of the following types of recordable and re-recordable DVD media: DVD + R, DVD + RW, DVD - R, DVD - RW, and DVD - ROM. These recordable or rewritable DVDs can be either simple single laminate or single sided double layer.

You should also consider the device you're using to play the DVD once you have engraved, if possible. Some DVD players and DVD - ROM drives play only certain types of DVD. To determine what types of DVDs your DVD player or DVD - ROM drive can play, see the documentation that came with your device or go to the manufacturer's Web site.

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT PRINT DRIVER WORKS WITH LEXMARK P6250 ALL IN ONE PRINTER AND TOSHIBA SATELLITE LAPTOP VISTA 32 OS? PLEASE, IT IS DRIVING ME CRAZY THAT I CAN'T PRINT FROM A COMPUTER BRAND NEW AND A 1-2 YEAR OLD PRINTER THANK YOU

We do not know what you have already tried to do the job to the printer.

Vista drivers are available on the site Web of Lexmarks the link above, to download.

Go to the website above > drivers and downloads tab at the top > and follow the Options with your model number >

Download/save the drivers compatible Vista on your desktop > uninstall/reinstall your printer according to the instructions of Lexmark.

If you still have problems, contact Lexmark, as they are the ones who write drivers for the printer, not Microsoft.

  • Looking to update my RAM 8 GB, what should I buy?

  • What should I buy instead of 5737 Inspiron?

    Hello!

I have worked for a time on Inspiron 5737, i7, full HD, 16 GB RAM, SSD, but couldn't find this laptop or this configuration more.

It was extermely fast and well designed (love the design in aluminium). New DELLs are more plastic and defective keyboards.

For example, I have also Inspiron 5547 and the touchpad there is a joke, the pointer is sometimes lag (he jumps and click randomly when the laptop is plugged into the charger), and sometimes the gestures do not work even if they are enabled.

Unfortunately I can't return it, the seller claims it works flawless, but it's not. I'll try again, because it's hilarious. I have also Inspiron 3737 and it works like a charm with no problems with the touchpad, or any other.

My questions: what should I buy instead of 5737 (because I can't buy it more)? If not, where can I buy a new 17R 5737 full HD with i7 or i5? Is there another, non-tout-plastic laptop DELL, the successor of 5737? Why this model was cancelled while it was perfect?

    Best regards

    BatSK8

Thank you for posting. For a 17 "system which is similar to the 5737 I suggest to take a look at the Inspiron 17 5758 , I think they make a better match for you.  Please let me know if you think that the 5758 will be a suitable model for you.

  • What can I buy from Cisco?

I managed three switches Netgear I want to upgrade to cisco switches, if it's possible to switch to faster or higher performance.

Current switches have the following specifications.

    http://Netgear.com/business/products/switches/fully-managed-switches/next-gen-edge/GSM7252PS.aspx#two

In my research, I found the CISCO WS - C4948 - 10GE - S 48 10/100/1000 + 2 10GE(X2) 1 switch AC with similar performance, but is it what should I buy? There the Extensible modules?

    Please, advice...

    Thank you

I don't think the 4948 is a PoE-compatible switch. He'll also be end of sales in the near future (spring 2013 if I remember correctly).

I would be more direct you to series of 3750 X, see the data sheet here. The 3750 X is stackable. If you do not need to stack switches, 3560 X is also very good for slightly less cost. You can buy software image level according to your needs and add a 10Gbps uplinks (or not) also.

See the homepage for access switches for a complete presentation.

  • What should I buy? .......... Laptop Dell, PC or all-in-1.

My laptop current is 6 years old and I think it comes to DIE.  I think buying the new system for myself, but I'm still as disturbing as what to buy...

Should I buy a laptop (but I want to need more than 5 USB slots I have 3 external HDD & Scanner, printers)... I don't want to settle for USB hubs.  Should I buy a PC... but I know PC will disappear soon and also, I don't have a luxury to have the space to store Mini towers, I cannot get desktop LTS.  But I want to add USB3.0, but fear it would work... as SFF does not support have added additional stuff.

I need to buy everything-in1,... but I don't think not AIO are good, because they are still in the infant stage and in addition, if the screen breaks... the whole system doesn't help... really ugly in revaluations too.

So... what should I buy, I thought to get the years 620 desktop PC Inspiron, but also to make a Dell laptop instead.

What are your thoughts.  Thanks for sharing.

My standard recommendation to all my clients is to "buy your portfolio can stand" - not to skimp or buy the cheapest or lowest model equipped as you will eventually get more or improve.

If you do not want to make any upgrade or adding then a desktop computer is the only one to consider and a full size desk, not one of the "S" or compact models because they are very limited on the upgrade.  They do not use a standard power supply ATX type then you will be also limited here.  They can only use 'low profile' add on cards, but due to the limitation of power supply, there is also a severe limitation on scalability and upgrade cards.

Most of the laptops were not the number of desired USB ports.  On the Dell only that maybe that would be the high end Alienware models.

I don't like any in those or the touch screen or other models.  They are very limited in any update.

I did not really answer your question, but more food for thought.
