What program in windows 8 should I use to open a file of edf?
Inland Revenue sends a copy of the edf to my full PAY slip when I ask to save to disk, and it happens in the downloads.
When I try to open the file to view, Windows 8 asks what application I want to use to open it. I tried excel, Word gives me a coded version, adobe, photo viewer.
How can I open these files to see?

Stores estimates created with Dunstad estimator, a freeware software for the management of the financial estimates; saved in a format commas database that contains the data of the estimator.
The best way to open a file of data of EDF is of simply double-click it and let the application of assoisated to open the file. If you are unable to open the file in this way, it may be because you don't have the correct application associated with the extension to view or edit the file of the FED. This data file format has been added to our database by a visitor to this site, but no further information was provided. We still have to investigate this file type further, or there was not enough information available at the time to report accurately on the format.

When I try to eject safely my external hard drive safely I get an error with this title message telling me that "this device is currently in use. Close any programs or windows that might be using the device, and then try again. "I did it. I also tried to close all programs running on the computer and it does not help. (c) type the drive letter of the USB device in the handle or DLL substring text box and press the search button.
(d) find the process and its PID (process identifier) in the following box.
(e) with a view to the processes of the system tree, look for the process according to the dialog box find handle or DLL.
(f) press Ctrl + H to display the handles in the view in the lower pane.

My system has developed a strange (and annoying) issue that no longer allows me to double click on the shortcuts of programs or EXE files. When I do, I give myself a menu asks me what program I want to use to open the file, as if I was trying to open a file with an extension that is not associated with.
The only way to get all the programs to run more is to right click on the shortcut and select "Run as Administrator".
Right click on the shortcut also reveals a new 'momentum' (Yes, spelled with one S tiny) option in the menu. I have not tried it works, in my view, it could be related to some false recently-removed security software that appeared out of nowhere last night.
Any help to remedy this situation and get back to normal functionality would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
If program shortcuts are not no longer works, you will need to use a procedure special difficulty fo files .lnk (similar to the one used above with .exe files).
Go to http://www.mydigitallife.info/2008/06/22/reset-and-fix-broken-windows-vista-file-ext-and-type-associations-include-exe-com-sys-zip-lnk-folder-drive/ and select the .lnk and run it. That should fix your shortcuts. Or you can use the link provided above by Michael Murphy - it does essentially the same thing.
I hope this helps.
Good luck!

Original title: what is savagent.exe.
I started having trouble opening all my programs... A 'Open with' box appears only the message "choose the program you want to use to open this file: file: * .exe ', and I only have two choices, either Microsoft Office OneNoteQuick Launcher or Wordpad... Since none of them are the program that I want, I click on the Cancel button, the popup disappears and the program does not open. Internet Explorer is the only exception it opens when I click on Cancel.
I am running Windows Vista on a Dell 1525. I did a general online search, but the concflicts information too for me make sure my best option.
Thanks for considering my question.
Correct me if I misread your message.
You said open with dialog box appears whenever you try to open a program?
If so, try this...
