  • Why User Account Control allow me on IE without permission after resetting IE

A few days ago I couldn't get on the Internet because IE would not work and internet connection was ok so out of desperation I did a reset of the EI. It still does not work then a member of the family came and got it works, but now I get the popup to permission to the user account control every time that I log on the desktop by clicking the shortcut of IE.  I went into the folder security and disabled UAC and now I only get this popup whenever I click on the desktop IE. This never used popup lights up when clicking on the shortcut of IE, so something must have happened when I did the reset Internet Explorer.  Does anyone know how to keep control of user account for all but IE?

I have a feeling that I accidentally changed a setting on IE and probably should not have an IE reset.but now the problem is that I like to keep the popup of User Account Control permission for everyone, but the IE shortcut on my desktop.

Furthermore, family member right clicking on the desktop for IE shortcut and did something with run as administrator to get IE working again.

My nephew looked at the problem that I had some time ago, but I told him to forget it because he really didn't have time to work on it. I just kept off UAC all these months and had no problems I do not download anything that I'm not sure. However, a few days ago I went back to this problem. I tried checking with the Compatibility tab, and as said above "Run as Administrator" was unchecked. This time I went to the contextual on properties of Internet Explorer and click on Advanced tab. Then I unchecked the run as Administrator box and I went back and UAC enabled and everything works well. Without UAC popups more!  I also did this for the exchange of information in the start menu and on the Quick Launch bar. For some reason any one on the keyboard had worked this time (he had not earlier) without a popup UAC even before I made the changes.  This is exactly what made me do some exploring more to see if I could get the other IE shortcuts to work.

I believe that another Member of my family who had helped me to get IE to work when I had problems to make on the internet even after a reset IE active the option "Run as Administrator". He has not been bothered by the popup and said if I was annoyed by it just turn off like he said I had a very good program antivirus (Norton) installed on my computer and it always warns you if a program you want to install is safe or not safe.

Hope this might help someone else who may have this problem.

    Hi JosephDoherty,

UAC (User Account Control) notifies you when changes will be made to your computer that require administrator-level permissions.

You can try to change UAC settings and see if it helps.

Note: You must restart your computer when you enable or disable UAC. Change levels of notification does not require that you restart your computer.

Important: Turn on UAC after you complete the steps.

  • How can I get User Account Control to STOP blocking a particular program?

UAC continues to ask me if I trust Java (jucheck.exe) update program even if I always click "allow." It's really annoying.

Log in as an administrator and change the update tool itself do not ask to update.

    or

User Account Control (UAC) notifies you before changes are made to your computer that requires an administrator-level permission. The default UAC notifies you when programs try to make changes to your computer, but you can change how often UAC notifies you.

    do a little reading.

My answer is still standing and so, what happens if I am boring.

I gave the right answer and I googled ' ed the question and found all sorts of responses just like mine.

Noting that I programmed a Tandy 1000 in high school, using programming base of door in Turbo C Windows form. This has nothing to do with you doing a little reading on a fundamental approach to programming.

If above the falls, read the manual.
