  • Cannot burn DVD in Windows DVD Maker

    Hello

I'm burning a couple of files wmv to a DVD. The two files together last about 5 minutes on a 120 minute DVD - RW. When I open Windows DVD Maker and import the two files, DVD Maker goes through the burning process, but towards the end DVD Maker informs me that he cannot finish burning "an error has occurred." It does not say what error or what caused it. DVD Maker itself I unchecked the filters in 'compatibility '; in the Windows Event Viewer, I can see the following:

DVD Maker returned an error code (0xC00D002F) when burning the disc.

Dvd creation engine returned an error (-1072889809) code when burning the disc.

When I check the events and the center of Microsoft's messages for the two error messages, I 'been found no results for your query.

How could I solve this problem please?

    Thank you.

    Hello I volunteer

Thanks a lot for your answer and the link of the encoder.

I got the encoder to work and 15 tracks (wmv) audio/video tracks I wanted to burn it to a DVD using DVD Maker, some 12 are corrupt. I don't know how they have corrupted or why, but there you are.

The strange thing is that if I use another burning program, I can play tracks perfectly - a drawback is that with other software, you can not burn the tracks in the order you want (they appear on the final DVD burned by alphabetical order), whereas the DVD Maker, you can organize tracks by using the Up/arrow keys.

I have not tried to burn on a DVD so I'll post back.

    Thanks again.

  • What type of DVD should I buy to burn my Windows Movie Maker movie? Also, I have Windows DVD Maker, but no DVD burner. What should I buy?

I created a movie in Movie Maker.  I bought some DVD + r's - the correct burn the movie on?  Also, I don't have a burner, I thought that I did, I can only burn a CD what should I buy?  I don't have a Windows DVD authoring program.

    Hi rondah,.

Welcome to the Microsoft community newsgroups.

The type of recordable DVD, you need to use depends on your DVD burner, as well as on your DVD player. Some DVD burners can burn only to certain types of DVD recordable. For example, with some DVD burners, you can only record to DVD + R discs or DVD + RW or DVD-R or DVD - RW discs, while some other DVD burners will let you burn on all of these recordable DVD types.

As long as your DVD burner supports burning to these types of discs, you can use Windows DVD creation to burn a DVD using one of the following types of recordable and re-recordable DVD media: DVD + R, DVD + RW, DVD - R, DVD - RW, and DVD - ROM. These recordable or rewritable DVDs can be either simple single laminate or single sided double layer.

You should also consider the device you're using to play the DVD once you have engraved, if possible. Some DVD players and DVD - ROM drives play only certain types of DVD. To determine what types of DVDs your DVD player or DVD - ROM drive can play, see the documentation that came with your device or go to the manufacturer's Web site.

  • Why do my colors differ with Win DVD maker?

Here's the long version... I use Windows Movie Maker 2.6.  I have a bunch of photos I shot in raw (Pentax K10 - D) and edited in Photoshop. In the middle of the process, I thought I'd be a good idea to calibrate my monitor, so I downloaded the software and calibrated using an old HueyPro.  When I put in place the film in MovieMaker, the colors looked really good.  After putting on the DVD, the colors are off. in particular, the uniforms are disabled.  They should be a dark blue.  On the DVD, they have much lighter air.  (All the colors are a little off, but the Blues seem to be particularly affected.)  If it helps, the DVD is just as bad on the PC and TV ;)

I'm sure it's a question of color profile.  However, I'm over my head on how to solve this problem.
In the System32\spool\drivers\color folder, including the color profile Huey.  Adobe also has its own wsRGB.icc and wscRGB.icc to (c:\users\Steve\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows).
ANY ideas?  Thanks for your help!

  • What kind of cd/dvd is the best for my video Windows Movie Maker filled and how can I burn it?

OK... I've published my Movie Maker presentation.  It will be presented via a laptop computer and projected.  First of all, what kind of cd/dvd I need?  I know that this information is listed under the HELP section of the Movie Maker program, but what do you propose to help?  AND THEN... How can I do to burn video on cd?  I got to the question re: given dvd vs dvd-video and was confused (sorry... it doesn't take much!).  In my mind, it's a video, but the explanation stated that in this format must then be read via a dvd player.  Finally it can be read that way and it would be nice to have this option, but my goal is now to have played through a computer laptop and projected.  I tried to save it as a video dvd last night, but after almost two hours of "transformation" (my video completed is approximately 3-1/2 minutes), I eventually escape and stop.  Can you guide me through this in simple terms?  Thank you!

DVD-R Virgin should work for you, and you can
burn the video DVD in Windows DVD Maker.

  • WIN DVD MAKER BLIND. WMV

My Windows DVD maker does not burn on a DVD .wmv files.  I get a message saying that it cannot read one or more files.  But when I run Windows Update, Microsoft reported again that I am completely updated.  I don't know if this is a problem with other video formats but given the .wmv is a Windows format I suspect the problem to be probably fundamental for all formats.

Can what steps I take to continue troubleshooting?

    Hello

    1. What is the full and exact error message?

  • Windows DVD Maker encoding is no longer

Lately, my creation of dvd windows refused to encode my videos. I can leave for hours only to return and see that 0,0% has been encoded. If I click on 'Cancel', the coding area will remain until I click "Cancel" again.  The main window of the DVD is not returned and I have to use the Task Manager to terminate the program.  What could be the problem?

    Hi aimjeezy

    Method 1:

You can perform the scan SFC and audit-
    a. click Start, click programs, on Accessoriesprincipally made, right click guestand then click run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click Allow
    b. type the following command and press ENTER:
    sfc/scannow
A message appears indicating that "the system scan will start. Be patient because the scan can take some time.
    c. If all files require a SFC replace will replace them. You may be asked to insert your Win7 DVD for this process to continue.
    d. If everything is correct you should, after the scan, see the following message "resource protection Windows not found any breach of integrity".
    e. once the scan is finished, close the command prompt window, restart the computer and check.

Check the link below for further guidance on scan SFC - mentioned
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833

    Method 2:

You can perform a clean boot and check if you are facing the same question in a clean boot state. To perform the clean boot follow step 1, mentioned in the article below, then try to install updates in this state of boot -

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

If the problem is resolved check which service non-Microsoft is the source of the problem; referring to article and following the other steps.
When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    a. Click Start, type msconfig.exe in the start search box and press ENTER.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.

    b. on the general tab, click the Normal startup option and then click OK.

    c. When you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.

  • Replacing the CD/DVD with SSD

Hi, I have a mid-2009 13 "Macbook, and I plan to replace the CD/DVD drive (which it doesn't) with an SSD, instead of replacing it with a new CD player.

I would move so that OSX and software on the new SSD, leaving other data on my main hard drive. I read that the best solution is to install OSX on the SSD from scratch, since migration it seems impossible, but how then I could remove the 'duplicate' old of my HDD main OSX?
The entire migration process is not quite clear to me, I wouldn't mind some step by step instructions.

    Thank you in advance!

1st, I did it on an iMac, so I went through it.

You can use a utility cloning as Carbon Copy clone (demo fully active 1 month) or SuperDuper free (free for a full clone) to move your boot disk for SSD and it will be fully functional.  In my case, I used Carbon Copy Cloner.  It is even technically possible to use the Applications-> utilities-> disk utility-> restoration as a means to clone the drive, but I find it cumbersome.

    <http://www.shirt-pocket.com/SuperDuper/SuperDuperDescription.html>

    <https://www.bombich.com/>

I think you could also just restore a backup Time Machine for the SSD as well (although I did not do that, so I don't know the details).

You can do a clean install and get rid of any cruft you've accumulated over the years and then install only the stuff that you are currently using.

Or you could do a clean install and then use the Applications-> utilities-> Migration Wizard move above specific categories of files of initial startup disk.

After you have the SSD running with your software on it, consider allowing TRIM

    <http://www.imore.com/os-x-10104-and-trim-support-should-you-turn-it>

I used OWC <http://MacSales.com> kit data-Doubler to replace my iMac DVD by an SSD.  They provided everything I needed.  I chose a kit including the tools I needed.  I also watched the OWC installation videos, as well as on YouTube to become familiar with the installation.  And I had a copy of the instructions to disassembly <http://iFixIt.com> and images to print for reference, while doing the installation.  I would have recorded any screws that I removed the instructions that told me to remove that screw then I would make sure I would put the correct screws into the appropriate holes.

  • Satellite X 200 and replace the HD-DVD player

    G ' Day

I'm looking to replace the HD-DVD drive in my Toshiba X 200 (PSPBUA-00N007) with a Blu - Ray player (or burner). They are on the market yet and available at Toshiba (or, say, eBay)? What should I look for?

The HD-DVD player is a cool historical anachronism, but Blu - Ray will probably be a little more useful for me in the future.

    Cheers for the help.

    Hello

As far as I know, there are some Blueray drives on the market that can be used in the notebook. But the fact is that not all readers are compatible because different master/slave/c-salt settings.

I didn t find information on compatible BR readers. I guess you will have to test it yourself.

I have a Toshiba Satellite A100. I'm trying to burn a DVD using Microsoft Windows DVD Maker and a Sony DVD - RW. The laptop has a carpet * a DVD-RAM UJ-850 s ATA device.

When I try to burn a DVD, a progress bar appears and is about 2% before the hanging.

I also tried to format the DVD first, and which is progressing well before coming up with an error message saying that the drive could not be formatted.

Anyone got any ideas? Am I missing something completely obvious?

    Hello

the following things could probably help you with your problem:

-> control if a new BIOS for your machine and a new FIRMWARE update for your DVD player are available. Update the BIOS and the player firnware
-> use another applications burning like Nero, CDBurnerXP or other thing that is usually know work well with almost all DVD - RW readers out there
-> use a DIFFERENT brands of DVD media because the carpet * a readers are really picky

If all these steps fail, then it is possible that your drive is defective and must be replaced.

    See you soon
