    Hi Bindu Prasad,

Create DVD Windows stops working due to incompatibility with one or several codec files that are obsolete or incompatible with the project or the DVD Maker software itself.

(Obsolete or incompatible) Codec files must be located and renamed to resolve the issue.

    1. open the start menu and type event viewer in the start menu search bar. Open event viewer from the menu.
    2. in the case of Viewer click Windows logs in the left panel
    3. click on application under Windows Logs logs

    7. If the files are not listed in the System32 folder, find the file with search containing the files and system files.
8 find the file and rename it.
    9. check if the problem persists. If the problem persists and the error message appears again, find the new file which is the origin of the problem of event, error log viewer.

-Can also uninstall any third party burning programs and software codec that these could cause the error.

  • Cannot burn DVD in Windows DVD Maker

    Hello

I'm burning a couple of files wmv to a DVD. The two files together last about 5 minutes on a 120 minute DVD - RW. When I open Windows DVD Maker and import the two files, DVD Maker goes through the burning process, but towards the end DVD Maker informs me that he cannot finish burning "an error has occurred." It does not say what error or what caused it. DVD Maker itself I unchecked the filters in 'compatibility '; in the Windows Event Viewer, I can see the following:

DVD Maker returned an error code (0xC00D002F) when burning the disc.

Dvd creation engine returned an error (-1072889809) code when burning the disc.

When I check the events and the center of Microsoft's messages for the two error messages, I 'been found no results for your query.

How could I solve this problem please?

    Thank you.

    Hello I volunteer

Thanks a lot for your answer and the link of the encoder.

I got the encoder to work and 15 tracks (wmv) audio/video tracks I wanted to burn it to a DVD using DVD Maker, some 12 are corrupt. I don't know how they have corrupted or why, but there you are.

The strange thing is that if I use another burning program, I can play tracks perfectly - a drawback is that with other software, you can not burn the tracks in the order you want (they appear on the final DVD burned by alphabetical order), whereas the DVD Maker, you can organize tracks by using the Up/arrow keys.

I have not tried to burn on a DVD so I'll post back.

    Thanks again.

    Hello

    (1) you have any third-party software installed on your computer CD/DVD burning?

I suggest you to try the steps below and check if it helps.

    Method 1:

Solve problems with creating a DVD-video using Windows DVD creation
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/troubleshoot-problems-with-creating-a-DVD-video-using-Windows-DVD-Maker

    Method 2:

Try to put your computer in a clean boot state, and check to see if the same problem happens.

By setting your boot system minimum state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or Windows 7:

Note: After the boot minimum troubleshooting step, follow step 7 in the link provided to return the computer to a Normal startup mode.

  • Windows DVD Maker won't add files.

I am running Windows 7. I made several DVD using Windows DVD creation without problem. Now, suddenly, no reason I can detect, it began to refuse to add files (first screen). It will not add files in any format - no .avi, .wmv. not, no matter what--but some files, in the same formats, it can still add. Files, it is impossible to add are more recent than those he can for the most part, but there is no other difference between the files other than dates they were created on. When I try to add a file, either via the button "Add files" or drag-and - drop, there is no error message is displayed. the program just hangs. I have converted the files in many and varied types and can not find any variation that works. As there is no error message displayed, I have no idea what is wrong. I already tried to solve the problem by turning off other video filters in the Compatibility tab, nothing helps. I also saw that Windows is all updated and otherwise functioning properly. I've been struggling with this problem for almost a week now. Any help would be most appreciated, thank you.

So, thank you very much for all your advice detailed and useful. I'm afraid that I don't know if this has solved my problem, because I have not even taken the penalty try to apply again. Instead I downloaded Freemake, used to burn my DVDs, and it has worked flawlessly. In fact, it fit more on my drive that Windows DVD Maker has never, which was an added bonus to one side. I am so thrilled to have this problem, if not solved (because I don't bother to see if I could), and then resolutely avoided. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

  • Windows DVD Maker doesn't burn files .wmv/wlmp video high definition?

    Hey all,.

Long time user WMM, but with the recent switch to Win7, I'm having a hard time with WLMM.  In short, create the movie in WLMM is a snap.  Burn a DVD quality is another story.

I am using video clips high definition AVCHD from my new Sony CyberShot camera and showing the film on a Samsung 50 "720 p plasma.  If I burn a project WLMM created (Save Movie-> burn a DVD) and burn it in DVD maker, the quality is absolutely terrible on the plasma. It looks like an old VHS tape.  So, I guess the resolution 480 I saved is the problem.

So, if I save the project with high-definition (720 p - 1280 x 720) in WLMM and try to extract this file in Windows DVD maker, I get the error "0 files have been added.  1 file could not be added.  The \xxxxx\xxxxx\xxxxx.wlmp file is not a supported file type, and it cannot be imported. "How is it possible that Windows DVD maker cannot burn a file created by its sister product Windows Live Movie Maker?  Am I missing something here, trying to extract a file to DVD Maker WLMM, or is it not possible?  Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    ==================================
Long message... I hope the info is useful:

VOB (as you know) is the DVD video format.

You can not convert video to a format of photo as
.jpg and retrieve your original images. And...
None... copies of original source files are not
    archived anywhere on the DVD.

A method (and probably not near what you)
hope) would be to make the screenshots
    (capture) video. The resolution and
sharpness of the capture will not equal
    the originals.

The free VLC Media Player can read your
    VOB files.

    VLC Media Player
    http://www.videolan.org/

For the installer for your screen Capture... Open VLC and
Reach... Tools / Preferences / video button / video
    Instant image section.

In the directory field... Search for and select a folder
to save your captures po (for example... you could
Create a new folder on your desktop and select)

TO... Prefix... check the box... Sequential numbering.

TO... Format, choose JPEG or PNG.

Finally... on the left, click on the Save"" button.

Now... Play the video and pause by pressing on your
SPACEBAR when you see a screen you want to capture.

To capture the screen... type...  SHIFT + S

Press space to advance to the next photo...
    ect... etc...

A possibility may be 'Solution B' in the
    next article:

"Excerpt from photographs of wedding DVD videos.
    for printing.
    http://labnol.blogspot.com/2007/02/extract-still-photographs-from-wedding.html

Word to the wise... If you use a software that will
extract frames from the video... be aware that thousands
photos can be made and you can fill in all
your free space until you realize.

    Good luck...

  • Cannot open a project in Windows Movie Maker after the backup in Windows DVD Maker

I imported with success of media in Windows Movie Maker, Movie published by using Windows DVD Maker as a guest just so that I could see how it would look.  I was able to view what I had engraved on a DVD and was very happy about how he already produces.  When I returned to Windows Movie Maker and tried to open my project to continue adding multimedia elements to it, I can't open it - it tells me that it is not a valid file in Windows Movie Maker.  Can find my project in My Documents in the category Videos, I'm still not able to open it.  I wonder if I shouldn't have saved in Windows DVD Maker.  I hope that I'm not "all over again.

I would greatly greatly appreciate it if anyone can help.  It is a very special project for a class reunion.

This is the first time I used a forum so I hope I've submitted it correctly.

    Thank you!

    NancyLouse,

Windows DVD Maker and Movie Maker store files with different file extensions.  This means that if you named the file 'file Movie Maker' and the DVD Maker 'file' file the real file names would actually file. MSWMM and file. MSDVD

To display the extensions on all the files follow these steps:
-Click on the ORB to start and Control Panel
-In Control Panel, click Classic view in the upper left corner
-Click on Folder Options, click view
-Scroll to "Hide Extensions for known Types file" and uncheck this box

The search in the folder now where you saved these files or use the search function, you should see the 2 different files.

What version of Windows are you using?  If the Windows Vista Ultimate and the file has been deleted somehow you can be lucky.

Vista Ultimate is a feature called previous versions.  To restore the file back to it's previous state, you can do a right click on the folder where the document has been stored (if the Documents may start, right-click on Documents) then go to properties

-Click the previous versions and you will see the dates corresponding to previous versions of the file you are looking at.
-Select a date and time that corresponds to when the file in this folder was in operational condition and double-click the file to open it

Find the file in the folder newly open and drag the file to your desktop (be sure not to drag to the exact location where the file was initially as not to overwrite the file).

    I hope this helps
