I looked and tried all the steps except the final step that the cyberlink youcam software does not allow me to click on the configuration settings. What should I do to activate my webcam?

• Why can I not use my built-in webcam?

  My problem as proposed so title, it's that I can't use my webcom at all, I have a Sony Vaio laptop (model number: PCG-6SFP if it's important) honestly, I have no idea why it used to work, I looked EVERYWHERE it seems not to be in Device Manager so I have no idea I've never had a manual...   I would like to request assistance on how to use my speakers BRAVEN BRV-1 on my desktop PC. The specs of my PC are as follows:

  • Name of the OS and Version - Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate 6.1.7600 Build 7600 32-bit
  • Processor - Interl (R) Core i3 CPU [email protected], 2933 Mhz, 2 Lossnay, 4 logical processors
  • RAM - 4.00 GB
  • Graphics - AMD Radeon HD 6800 Series
  • Motherboard - ECS H55H-M

  Currently, the device is visible in the "devices and printers" (see attachment pic1) but no sound is produced. It was connected via a bluetooth dongle that I recently bought at a hardware store. While they inspected the volume icon in the lower right of the task bar, the speaker does not appear in the list (see attachment Note2). I would appreciate any suggestions really, I've tried a few methods have been proposed by different forums/sites without success.

  I was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction about what follows. I am a student in abrasive particles and I several stills SEM of 10 to 120 Micron particles. I'm looking for a software that will allow me to easily calculate the various properties related to the particle, like size, geometry, space ect - or anything really that could be useful for me to compare one particle with another.

  (1) is there some features that may be useful to know when it comes to comparing the abrasive particles?

  (2) is it simple software available that would be suitable (I recommended a program called SIGMAscan but it may seem too much of an investment to about $900 for what I need to).

  I have recently upgraded to Windows 8 Pro and there are only 2 drivers available on the site for my laptop model: the Wifi and Bluetooth drivers.  Most of the drivers have been installed by Windows 8, but there are 2 elements in the devices without a driver, PCI Simple Communications Controller and another unknown device manager.

  There are some drivers for the Intel 4000 and HD 7670 m but I did no switchable graphics.  There is no center of control of AMD, Intel just one.

  To make things worse, my battery life has been reduced to 3.5 hours of 5.5 or 6.0 hours when using Windows 7.  I did all the usual settings in the power settings advanced, as well as for the Windows 7 install so the only thing I can think of is maybe the drivers from the chipset?

  Any help I can get would be appreciated.

  More than likely HP won't to material support for W8 on any system purchased before October 1, 2011. Some updates for W8, most drivers W7 will work in W8.

  For anyone with Windows 7 and given update on Windows 8, can run the Upgrade Wizard software, it will scan your PC and report on what is currently installed on your PC is compatible with the W8.

If it is installed and running, you should find an icon in the notification area and that there should be a hidden toolbar that will show if you move your mouse cursor along the top of your screen. • How to open a PDF file using the built-in Viewer? (Windows 8.1)

  When I try to open a PDF file I have the pop-up dialogue "you have chosen to open *.pdf Firefox do with this file? And display in Firefox is not one of the options. I am sure that what is happening is that there is no dialogue, and the PDF has just opened in the integrated Viewer pdf.js. If something is wrong with my profile I guess.

  I checked through all my extensions and you do not have open a PDF (I have uBlock, NoScript and Zotero).
  I completely uninstalled Adobe Reader.
  I checked that in preferences/Applications, PDF is set to "Preview in Firefox.
  I did as I went through: config and change all settings with 'pdf' on their return to their default values
  But none of these things work.

  Is there anything else I can try to get this working?

  I think the problem I had was that some of the PDF files is served by Web sites with a "header" (I don't really know what that means) called "Content-Disposition: attachment", and when this happens, Firefox refuses to load them into the integrated PDF Viewer. (I don't know why Web sites this.)

  It is very helpful, especially because Firefox gives no indication as to what is happening (why the user preference for a PDF file is not respected). I just thought that the PDF Viewer was broken and spent hours trying to fix it.

  As far as I can see, it would be trivial reflect changes the extension above in Firefox. In the bug of no claim that it would be a bad thing to do for safety reasons. But Firefox should at least present the user the ability to open the PDF file in the integrated Viewer or even more at least have explanations on why the PDF is not currently open in the Viewer, for example "this PDF file was marked for download, so for safety reasons it has not been opened in the integrated Viewer. Who would save people like me, who don't know the HTTP headers that are complicated, just think that Firefox is broken.
