what takes my processer

How to find and control often what is hogging my computer with some processes in the background, sometimes for 15 to 30 minutes.  When I use the Task Manager to see, so many processes are listed, I can't tell which is the process that is stop what I'm doing.  I'm tempted to reformat my hard drive and start over.  How can I take control of when these hogging processes begin to run?

To create and send/post/print capture screen or a screenshot:

Press the Print Scrn button to copy your entire screen to the Windows Clipboard.

Press Alt Print Scrn to copy the active window to the Windows Clipboard.

Open MS Paint:

Start, programs, accessories, paint

When the painting opens, press CTRL + V to paste the Clipboard, save the new file in paint on your desktop or somewhere that you remember.  JPG files take up less disk space than BMP files and are just as readable.

Make screen captures as much as you want.  Practice makes perfect.  Make sure that your screenshot does not contain personal information.  Practice the visualization of your images before you send them to make sure they agree.

Some sites will allow you to attach a file directly to your message.  If the site has a sort of piece attachment/upload function it is usually easier just to use it.

If there is no such function in your forum to download files, then use a third-party free hosting site WWW image.

Create a free account on some free photo hosting website.  You can always delete your account later if you wish.  Here are some free image hosting sites:

With your free account, download your screenshot (s) (JPG or BMP files) on the site and it is up to you to a URL (Direct link) for your new images that you can paste the link directly in the post message, e-mail, etc.

Send this web address link live here in your answer, and we can click on the address of the link and see your screenshot.  After as many times as you need - the sites are free.

Download and install CCleaner here:

Launch CCleaner, click on tools, startup and at the bottom right of the screen, click on the button "Save to text file" to save the startup information in a text file (name it something like startup.txt, so you can find it).

Save the startup information to your desktop (or somewhere you can find it) open the text file with a text editor, select all the text and paste the contents of the startup list, come back here for analysis.

Uninstall CCleaner later if you don't like (most people seem to like for it of other features).

That's right - I have zero startup items.  It's just the way I choose work and may not be how your system should be configured.

    What takes my space? I have g500s lenovo with avast antivirus, with almost 1 TB of space. In the last months, I noticed that my space has been consumed. Out of my 1 TB 900 GB of space has been used. I do not have the dowload photos, I keep my whole sparkling brosor of cleanliness, I maually remove my my documents downloads recycling bin office and old games I play regularly, as I hate too much space.     Do not attempt to move anything from one machine to the other.  Just use the disk and the serial number, you will need to install on the new machine.  You are allowed to have two facilities enabled, so you can keep the original as a backup, if you prefer.  If not, the minimum you need to do is to disable the original in order to free activation for another use (open the program and choose Help-> Deactivate)

    This is to manually remove the master files. But are you sure you want to do this? Especially if these files are raw files? If you do, you throw a lot of precious image data. Remember that the main files are completely intact and in their original state at any time. The catalog stores all the changes that you make. But if you really want to delete your master files, you need just to delete them individually or as a group.

    It is understandable and easy enough to do.  Just open your PC settings and go to the section "your synchronization settings '.  There is power on/off switches for all the different things that you can choose to synchronize.  Just turn off the ones you don't want.  Or you can just disable them all at once at the top.

    If you use this amount of space on a Windows XP computer - it is * your * stuff taking up by.  Windows XP with * sorts * installed applications take about 10 GB of space - usually not much more.  The 'all kinds of applications' would include office suites, graphics suites, video editing suites, etc.  Is more likely, whatever it is above the mark of ~ 10 GB * your * stuff.

    How much space is your hard disk have TOTAL and FREE now?

    If you are comfortable with the stability of your system, you can delete the uninstall of patches which has installed Windows XP...

    You can control the amount of space your system restore can use...

    1. Click Start, right click my computer and then click Properties.
    2. click on the System Restore tab.
    3. highlight one of your readers (or C: If you only) and click on the button "settings".
    4 change the percentage of disk space you want to allow... I suggest moving the slider until you have about 1 GB (1024 MB or close to that...)
    5. click on OK. Then click OK again.

    You can control the amount of space used may or may not temporary Internet files...

    Empty the temporary Internet files and reduce the size, that it stores a size between 64 MB and 128 MB...

    -Open a copy of Microsoft Internet Explorer.
    -Select TOOLS - Internet Options.
    -On the general tab in the section 'Temporary Internet files', follow these steps:
    -Click on 'Delete the Cookies' (click OK)
    -Click on "Settings" and change the "amount of disk space to use: ' something between 64 MB and 128 MB. (There may be many more now.)
    -Click OK.
    -Click on 'Delete files', then select "Delete all offline content" (the box), and then click OK. (If you had a LOT, it can take 2 to 10 minutes or more).
    -Once it's done, click OK, close Internet Explorer, open Internet Explorer.
