  • Where did the band located in FF10 tabbed?

Hi all. I'm still on FF3.6. Went FF4 when released but quickly returned and stayed since. What is the default location of the band to tabs, just above the or display area in the upper part of the window (above the navigation bar) as in FF4 to FF10? If the latter, can it be moved to the former? If so, what command integrated for the move? Thanks for your reply.

Not sure if I fully understand your questions. However, if you want to change the location of the Strip to tabs, right click on the space empty next to the tabs, then you can use the option "Tabs on Top" to switch between the two positions. Also, if you don't want to display the menu bar, you can click right in the same empty box and uncheck the menu bar. I hope this helps.

  • Box below the band tabs

The sidebar is now below the band to tabs, not to the left of it, as it used to be. It is very ugly and it is very annoying.
    That's what I mean
(Firefox 5 on the left, Firefox 6.)

Is it possible to restore it?

It is one of the changes necessary to get used to.

I'm sure that you wouldn't think that move when you have the tabs on the top bar.

The tab bar is now a toolbar complete and you can place the other buttons on the toolbar on this and there is so no need to move to the right if the sidebar is open.

  • Running Firefox 5 - where is the refresh tab? I only use F5? Thank you

Version 3 was an icon to refresh a page. Version 5 has apparently not. Am I missing something? Thank you. Barry

Firefox 4 and later versions use a combined Stop/Reload/Go button that is placed at the right end of the address bar.

During the process of loading page it shows as a stop button and once the charging button is replaced by a reload button.

If you type in the address bar this button would then become a button go.

Click the Reload button to duplicate the current tab in a new tab.

  • Where is the 'new tab' customizable button?

I know there is one in the bar tab , but the way I set up my Firefox, it's useless... I need the old button which is customizable.

I have always used the 'new tab' button in my old version of Firefox. Now with version 4, it is no longer available

I don't understand why it was removed... It worked well.

You can drag this button bar of tabs in another new tab toolbar.

Open the Customize via "view > toolbars > customize" or "Firefox > Options > toolbars."

  • Where is the "Home" tab on the top of the brwoser?

I am running windows XP on your desktop and have updated to the latest version of Firefox.

However, I can't find the tab "Home" single on top of the toolbar which can quickly take me to my home page.

It is located on the right of the search bar. There is a button with which resembles a House thereon.

You can move it elsewhere in click with the right button on an empty part of the tab bar, click Customize and a panel will open. While it remains visible, you can drag elements such as buttons and toolbars autour and place them where you want.

In addition, remove buttons, toolbars, you do not want by dragging them in this Panel. Similarly, dragging anything from there you think may be useful.

Other things you can do is to move the tabs below the bars/search by location if you want. Right-click a part empty tab bar again, and then click "Tabs on top" to remove the check mark.

  • In the new Firefox 4, what happned to the Save tabs and functionality of quitting smoking, is there a way I can still use this feature?

I just downloaded Firefox 4 and I got a problem on my Norton spyware toolbar is not incompatible, but anyway, the most important thing that makes me choose Firefox on any other web browser is that I am able to save tabs and then exit. I think it was more great things because I could run my laptop off and save energy and when I got home I'm cold to take back what I what to do. My question is simply is you never have it save tabs and leave the new service or at least a way people would turn the function on will.

One of the changes in Firefox 4: by default Firefox 4 does not display the warning "Save tabs and exit" then to the closure of several tabs, but it can be turned on again by changing some preferences.

    • Record of the tabs was not removed from Firefox 4, but it works a little differently.
    • By default, Firefox 4 will not ask to save tabs, but instead it will always save your tabs on the output unless you're in private browsing mode. You can restore the next time by:
      1. by clicking on the Firefox button > history > "restore previous Session ', or
      2. type of Subject: House in the URL bar and press the Enter key, then press the button "restore previous Session."
    • Note: This was a decision by the developers. On this forum, we are all volunteers without compensation here to help other users. Develop them and employees of Mozilla/Firefox rarely, if ever visit here.

    Things to check:

    1. Browsing history must be saved

      • Button Firefox: Firefox button > Options > Options > privacy > [X] Remember my browsing history
      • Menu bar: Tools > Options > privacy > [X] Remember my browsing history
    2. Also, make sure that you do not erase "Browsing history" when you use clear recent history or when Firefox is closed
      • Using clear recent history

        • Button Firefox: Firefox button > history > clear recent history
        • Menu bar: Tools > clear recent history
      • When Firefox is closed
    3. Make sure that you are not in private browsing mode or in private browsing mode permanent:
    4. If you have the Tab Mix Plusextension, and then clear the built-in session restore.

To display the message "save tabs and exit" when closing multiple tabs, you can do the following:

    1. Type of topic: config in the URL/address bar and press the Enter key
    2. Accept the warning message (promise to be careful)
    3. Open the preferences/list page
    4. Filter = browser.tabs.warnOnClose
    5. If its value is set to false, double-click top (in the lower panel) to toggle its value to true
    6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 for the 3 following preferences also:
      • browser.warnOnQuit
      • browser.warnOnRestart
      • browser.showQuitWarning

  • Where is the new tab button?

Hi guys! I use the latest version of Firefox. I bought a new laptop today and everything synced from my old laptop and everything is exactly as it was. However, I can see the difference is that I am now no longer able to create a new tab by clicking right of a tab as the small + button disappeared.

Can anyone help with this? I also have a disturbingly large piece of vacuum in the URL bar that was not on my old laptop.

    Thank you very much!

Try to click the "Restore defaults" button in the palette to customize (Firefox '3-bar' menu button > customize)

Make sure the toolbars as the 'personal bar' are visible.

    • View > toolbars
Press the ALT key, or press F10 to display the Menu bar
    • Right click on empty toolbar space

Open the Customize and set the toolbar to display items.

    • Firefox '3-bar' menu button > customize
    • Make sure the "bookmarks toolbar items" are on the personal bar
    • If "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is not on the bookmarks toolbar, then FRY it in the palette to customize the window customize to the bookmarks toolbar

I was reading this article on the Lightroom histogram Panel and found the term "drop-down menu. I'm new to Lightroom, but I think I know what she meant. I've searched high and low but can only find references to him, but tell me what it looks like. Some of the docs call it a menu of the Panel , I think. In the docs Photoshop show, the Panel menu, but I'm not a 'thing' graphics similar in the Lightroom histogram Panel. In any case, I want to know how to change the histogram Panel in the Compact, extended or all channels view. Any suggestions?

    Hi Rob,

The tutorial that you shared is for Photoshop.

The fly out menu is accessible from histogram flyout menu of Photoshop (not Lightroom)

In Lightroom, the view cannot be modified.

Here is the screenshot of the menu of driving Photoshop histogram:

If the new window works then stick with it and close the other window.

Close Firefox and check if it is still OK after a reboot.
