What zero or thin Client is the most popular? What piece of management?

I think far in advance and do not want mixed marks in our environment. We rely on the movement of a large group of VDI (already have VDI in place, but expanding).

1. why thin above zero... it's just that the user may have access offline (if something were to happen to VDI)?  Any advice would be appreciated.

2 what Management Consoles use you - at the moment we have WDM (Wyse Device Manager), but I'm not sure that our future purchase will be produced Wyse.  We have the Teradici PCoIP Management Console - does this work for the most part zero and thin clients?

These are two hiccups, that I was confronted.  I'd like to narrow down my choices of zero or thin, and what is the best way to manage them.

We also use only customer zero for our environment from view.

They are managed via the Teradici Management Console. As already said devices only with a Tera1 or Tera2-Chip (processor) are supported.

We only use Wyse P20 and also new P25 units for our society.

With the new Management Console (1.8.0 +) the old Tera1 and the new Tera2 are already supported.

There is also a firmware combined for the two chips that can be used by this console.

Establishment of autoconfig is also working with new clients.

Here is a list of the most (if not all) zero customers who use a Tera-chip: http://www.teradici.com/where-to-buy/product-search-results.php?vendor_id=0&category_id=2&form_factor_id=0&vmware_ready=&keywords=&x=11&y=9

  • Connecting the thin client to the virtual desktop

Guys, I'm looking to provide some knowledge of locations to my current View 4 implementation. I need essentially allow thin clients in the room for a particular virtual desktop access, but the user access to all other workstations when they are in a different room\different thin client.

At the present time, it seems possible to connect a desktop computer to an end user and not a customer light name or address etc.

Is there anyway that I can link a pool of funds or office to a lightweight client device so that the bureau is only launched from this location?

    Thank you

We are able to do something like that today.  Serve us our Wyse thin client and when the thin clients boot they go to an ftp site to obtain their configuration files.  The configuration file can be modified to configure how clients view client work light linux.  So, to process your request, we would put in class A on a network that has a config file that will automatically connect to a certain pool of virtual desktops.  In all networks, they would receive a configuration file that allows them to get the menu and choose what desktop Pool to connect to.

I don't know what light supplier customer, you have, but I'm assuming that Wyse is not the only one with a certain type of configuration like this.

  • PSE9: Easy access to the most popular

    I am running PSE9 on Win7.

I make very heavy use of key words. They are a great way to manage my collection.

And I ended up with a heck of a lot of labels.

However, for daily use I find that there are often four tags that I use all the time.

For example, we took a trip recently and almost all of the images have to be my wife

or our two dogs in them. I end up having to scroll a lot in the keyword Panel

to get the right pair. I was wondering if there is something like a "most frequently used" or

"most recently used" feature that is available with the keyword tags?

Otherwise, any ideas? One thought I had was to create a new category like "most frequently used".

Then somehow 'move' these tags of the population and other categories to the new

    Most frequently used category.

Thanks for any help or advice!

    1. Why not just use the search bar?  Typing the two first letters focus on the images with that tag.  Although there are other images with these letters in their filenames or the legends, will they appear too.
    2. You can create this new category as you described and drag the keywords in the keyword tags in this category using the keyword Panel.

  • Where can I find the most popular preferences for folder bookmarks on my personal bar? I want to add more.

In the past, I was able to add bookmarks up to 15, but when I downloaded Firefox for my new laptop in January and moved my files from my old computer, this folder shows only 10, and I can't find where to change it.

Such an application of smart folder will work as a bookmark and you will need to close and restart Firefox.

After a reboot, the icon should change a smart folder icon and work as such.

  • BlackBerry App Blackberry 10 OS cannot run the most popular android app of China (PRC)

I know that the Blackberry 10 operating system does not guarantee compatibility with all android applications.

But I think that your company will be interested in solving this problem.

This is because the program has 1 billion users. (It's the Chinese clone of Whatsapp.)

This popular application 'Wechat' cannot run on the Blackberry 10 operating system.

You can talk to Tencent (software company) to address the problem.

(This company has made to develop a version for the Blackberry OS, but they have not updated for over a year).

The official download for the app link is here:

    https://play.Google.com/store/apps/details?ID=com.Tencent.mm

Thank you for your explanations. Seems that you have so many camera problems lol, just kidding.

Personally, I prefer to use the snap-in as a source for downloading applications androids instead of Amazon Appstore or any other source. Never have a problem until now.

Since you have successfully charge your phone OS, I recommend you try Snap, to avoid the unable uninstall question android app.

  • Two monitors on the HP T5545 Thin Client

I've looked everywhere and I can't find an answer. Did somebody get two monitors working with view 4.5 on a HP t4454 thin client?

I have no problem with the client installed on a desktop computer, but when it connects via a thin client display only on a single monitor. We're explains View 4.5 and I really need this to work to justify making the leap to virtual offices for our users.

I've updated the Thin Client at the last image and service packs.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

There should be a drop-down list display when you go to choose your available desktop, allowing you to select "all monitors". I just checked our units to confirm.

  • Thin clients with view 4.5

I was in the thin client compatibility guide, and I'm trying to decide what thin client to the demo. I would like to pcoip and find the Wyse P20 very attractive, although it has only usb 1.1

Can someone make suggestions as to which clients you use with view 4.5?

Currently, I have only a Wyse C10LE, which has no RDP and HP 5455

I'd be willing to look at other companies, I wanted just to have an idea as to who are the most popular

    -MN

We were extremely pleased with the Wyse P20. Like you we demo also had the HP T5545 and Wyse C10LE, and we were quite impressed by both.

We thought that the Wyse R50LE was decent, but if you want the best experience then the P20 is the way to go.

    Not quite what I needed.

I am logged on as administrator

There is no 'System' icon in "All Control Panel items" to interact with.

in the Explorer, 'Computer' is not right clickable, so there is no contextual menu from the drop-down list select 'properties '.

NETDom is not a valid command of the high - command prompt = yes.

    Is what I found to work through experimentation;

From a command prompt, type "explorer".

This opens a window of the Explorer, which lists the 'C' and 'RAMDrive.

(Just by clicking on the start menu, and the computer in the conventional way, shows that "RAMDrive").

From there you can right click on "Computer" and put in place the familiar 'Control Panel>>System Control Panel items'

"Then it's the usual"edit parameters"in working to change group settings" area.

  • Opening of shutoff on Thin Client T610

    Greetings,

I was expecting to use a thin client T610 as a display remotely to a legacy system, but met a wall.  Every time that the application tries to send a display for the customer, the display does not open and the system hangs.

I reproduced the problem in my terminal window:

    > export DISPLAY = {IP_ADDRESS_HERE]: 0}

    > nedit

This translates the message: "Cannot Open Display".

I am able to SSH since the T610 to my server and if I send the display X (ssh - X), I have no problem, so I think currently it's a port blocked on the thin client. That being said, I can't find any way to unblock the port (6000?) or find an option that allows the customer to accept remote X applications.

Here is the information on my T610:

    OS level: T6X43202

    BIOS: K30 V 01.06

Does anyone have a suggestion on what could block the display? I have been through the T610 documentation and have not yet find resolution.

    Thank you.

Solved the problem. HP initscripts for the X server was by invoking the '-nolisten tcp' flag.  The flag and the restart of the thin client resolved the problem.

  • the most important factor SSD Benchmark for 4 k images

I still fullHD image editing but will soon work with 4 k files. I read this compansion and I was wondering what test factors are more Important next to reading and writing.

UserBenchmark: Samsung 850 Pro 256 GB vs SanDisk Extreme 240 GB

    Thanks for help

Most of any generation current SSD will make hot quick reads. The most important factor for the use of Adobe Premiere Pro is the write speed of large file uncompressed.

Some excellent records for Adobe to include:

-Crucial M500, M550 (great for the price and have good performance write)

-Samsung 830, 840 Pro, Pro 850 (stay away from 840 non pro and EVO as they are weak for large uncompressed file entries)

-Intel 730 (were very $$$ when introduced, but prices are way less now and they are very good readers)

You did not mention what type of files of 4 k, and it makes a huge difference. Highly compressed formats tax readers as much (GoPro, Sony AX100, GH4, etc) so that any 4 k uncompressed, Red 4 k and a greater willingness, etc. to be pushing a little more MB/s.

I don't know there are others, but these models seem to be the most popular among users of the hardware forum.

    Kind regards

  • Thin Client connection problem

    Hi Folks,

I have a issue to solve with some new thin client (Devon IT TC2B)and I really need some help

When I use the view client from any PC or from my Mac, everything works perfect!

But I a use my new Thin Client with the View Client embedded I have the following error: "The secure connection to the View Server has unexpectedly disconnected.

Any ideas? If anyone can help me I'd really appreciate it!

    Thanks in advance!

    Randy C.

PS: I have attached a screenshoot from my mistake of thin client.

    I see 2 possibilities:
-A network issue affecting the Thin Clients.  Settings DNS, Firewall, etc.
-The Client of the view needs to be refreshed on Thin Clients.

    Best regards

  • Thin clients connect not to view.

Good so it's weird. I have a HP thin client (model hstnc-006-tc is important) sitting in my NOC. I point to my server connection. I can connect to the domain controller in the thin client, see the desktop that the user has rights, but when they connect he says "the login server Vew prepares the office" and sits there for about 30 seconds. After 30 seconds, or so he error with the following error: "this office is currently not available. Please, try to connect to this desktop computer later, or contact your system administrator. »

The inside of the connection manager, I see my office as available. It is active, title and power. I get no error on the part of the present events. Now, my connection to the server and the server vcenter actually live on different networks. Can only cause a problem? It wasn't when I was testing it from my office. I was under the impression that the customer should not talk to vcenter, it is only necessary to connect with the login server, ports 443, 3389 and 4001 are open to the.

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks in advance.

Please check you can test using the full domain name

  • Zero Client and Thin Client

    Hi all

    AM new kind of opinion,

    I want to know

What is the difference between thin and Zero Client

are all of the Thin/Zero to the RDP clients or just specific type

    Thank you

OK - all variants of clients include zero (including screens ZC) thanks to the TERA processor an ASIC of RDP implementation in addition to the support of the PCoIP Protocol. Most of the users of zero client select PCoIP due to improved performance, especially the graphics. You can find more information about customers zero at the Teradici FAQ: http://www.teradici.com/pcoip/pcoip-technology/pcoip-faqs.php

Thin clients certified by the VMware Ready program include variants of the RDP and PCoIP clients installed on an operating system software. You can find compatible devices here: http://www.vmware.com/resources/compatibility/search.php?action=base&deviceCategory=vdm
