  Click on more action-> set as start page

  Delete all files in the temp folder and see if you still receive the error.

  I had this problem and just reinstalled Firefox. Problem solved. In my case, I believe that it is through the installation of FlashGet. Although I uninstalled FlashGet, it had outstripped the Magnet links / Protocol. I hope this helps you with your instance. Fortunately, I had Setup for my version of Firefox (7.0.1) registered and used that but you might need to search for your current version or install a later version

  On startup, I get the message "the user profile service has no logon. User profile cannot be loaded. »

  To the boot, safe mode, I get the message "your user profile was not loaded correctly. You have been logged on with the default profile. Check the event log or contact your administrator.

  Since I don't have an administrator:

  • How can I get to the event log?
  • How can I fix the user profile?
  • Maybe you can point me to a book that might guide me in the process.  I'd rather learn to have to repair it by someone else.

  The person who used it happily replied that it worked very well. It seems that you would need to purchase the software to perform the restore. Note: I have not used it myself and can not say anything good or bad to this topic

  Other things I've read, it seems to do a restore of the system to a previous point is a bad idea and makes recovery more difficult.
