When I click on print to email, the whole program freezes

the printer works fine when I'm on the internet or in a document. But when I try to print from my email, the program hangs and I have to enter the Task Manager to stop the program.

Unfortunately, this problem has been reported before without resolution.  You could try what is listed here: http://www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#12 , or you can try to go to start | Programs | Accessories and right click on command prompt and choose Run as administrator, and then type SFC/scannow and System File Checker in order to run and that might help.  If you can, you can try restoring the system to a point where he worked.  Software antivirus and "Registry cleaners" can also contribute to this problem, so you could look for those or taken into account.

To work around the problem, you can drag the e-mail on the desktop as an eml file and then rename it to a mht file, and it will then open in IE and should print, since you specify IE prints.
