When I go to Firefox support screen appears, how can I get rid of him?
I connect to Firefox and the mozilla support page. One day there was no but it is now and I want not gone, but I can't find anything on the screen showing me what to do to get rid of him. It shows just Firefox in the upper left corner.
You can check the setting of the homepage:
- Tools > Options > general > startup: Homepage
Firefox supports several home pages separated by ' |' symbol (pipe).
If you do not keep the changes after a reboot or have problems with preferences, see:

When I updated Firefox it adds a toolbar, which I don't. I understand how to get rid of, but I can't get rid of the giant HISTORY bar on the side left which takes 1.5 "of my screen space.
I tried to use customize it to drag it off but it won't let me, and it resizes not smaller than it is. I don't want this story on my screen. How can I get rid of this?
{Ctrl + h} will close the sidebar of history.

I created a new computer yesterday that runs windows 8.
I downloaded Firefox, then added tree style tabs and colourful tabs after which I powered off for the night. Today on rebooting and opening up Firefox I find that I have a vertical grey bar between my tabs (and same width as them) and the Firefox page. There is no right click options within that large grey area - and of course it's pushing my pages off the right hand side of the screen. How do I get rid of this blasted thing?????? Pete
I had this problem, but it was because I had two tree Style tabs and Vertical both installed. Once I removed the vertical tabs, the gray bar went away.

Thank you.
If you're talking about a desktop computer, there will be buttons on the screen to make adjustments. It's different depending on the brand and models so you will need to read your user name guide or tinker with it until you understand.
Good luck.

I forgot to do something different on my computer today, but everytime I open Firefox I get this screen Ask not my default screen that should be there. I'm supposed to have www.comcast.net as my screen not repaid.
Hello, this looks like a problem maybe caused by adware on your pc.
Please go to firefox > addons > extensions and remove any suspicious entries (toolbars, the things that you have not installed intentionally, I don't know what purpose they serve, etc.).
also go to Control Panel / programs and remove all toolbars or potentially unwanted software from there.
Finally, run a full scan of your system with security tools like the free version of malwarebytes & adwcleaner.Remove a toolbar that has supported your Firefox or the homepage search

It's a white box in the upper left corner on my main screen (Center). There is nothing in it, and it covers a section of 6 icons on Desktop 3 across and 2 down. It occurs during the boot process and I was not able to attach it to a specific program. I was informed by Dell it is a Windows 7 problem.
I had a computer technician who had encountered the problem before. I have a Dell and this white box was some kind of problem with the backup of Dell and the restoration. I just stopped the program of commissioning and the white box does not return.
