  Well, the main issue is that you cannot use a Dell Windows XP reinstall on one different computer than Dell drive.  You don't have a Dell computer because the motherboard came not from Dell.   See if your Bootcamp is actually the version 3 (right click - on Bootcamp) I did a system restore because I had just updated those drivers. But if you did when you got your Snow Leopard, you need to uninstall Bootcamp 3.0 in programs and features.  If you remember, when you loaded Windows Vista first you did not load Bootcamp until after installation has been completed.

  So to remove 3.0, restart, then try to install again.  Let us know how it went.

  I restore an HP Pavilion computer and try to install Windows XP Home Edition, with the button on the side of the computer.  I contacted HP and they no longer have an available for this computer recovery CD.  So, I tried to install a copy of Windows XP Edition retail family, but when I enter the OEM product key I get "invalid key".  I read on this forum that you can not mix the OEM disc/keys with detail, but it seems that I don't have to buy another copy of Windows when it came with my computer.  What choices do I have?

  It seems that some color profiles have been corrupted.

  Please run following command on the terminal on the machine (this will remove corrupt profiles and should allow you to run Setup successfully)-

  sudo mv/Library/ColorSync/Profiles/Profiles/Library/ColorSync/Profiles/Profiles_bkup

  Reboot your system, and then try reinstalling the PS issue should get resolved.

  Error code 0 x 80070005 usually indicates that you don't have enough privileges or the operation is blocked. I know, some programs (Boot Camp on a Mac PC, etc.) is not compatible with Windows 7, if you have installed these programs on the computer, you may not be able to perform the upgrade.  You should uninstall these programs before upgrading. In addition, such a question may be related to UAC, I recommend you turn off UAC in Windows Vista, if you have installed security software, try uninstalling the security application as well.
