  If you copy the screenshot in a Word file, it will be the default page of the word file size. It will be in a smaller size to fit into the Word file.

  However, if you want to open the full-size screen capture, you can use Microsoft Paint on Windows application.

  I may be wrong here, but I think that if you take a page and user has not authorized your application for the screenshots, you will get an empty Bitmap and the user will be prompted to enable it.  the following screen shot will work, assuming that the user allowed him and only him is not asked again.  So try to do it twice!

  Okay, so this isn't technically a question of Illustrator. I write a tutorial and using SnapzPro for my screenshots. In some cases, I want to show the bright yellow tooltips that appear when you fly over a tool. But as soon as I press the keys to take the screenshot, the ToolTip disappears. I have tried with little snapper and the capture function screen integrated in Mac OS, but of course, as soon as I move the mouse or press a key, the ToolTip disappears.

  I use CS3 and I'm getting the same problem you have.

  BUT, if you press and hold down the shift + Apple key before placing the cursor on top of the tool, you will get the "Tip" tool without disappearing. Now just press the 3 button to take the picture.
