Unresponsive script: chrome://browser/content/ext-utils.js:638
Hello
The last week or two I've been do a pop up with the slot number script. I Googled it but found no specific number. I don't seem to feel that it has something to do with the browser itself because I've noticed if I click on the button SCRIPT STOP then I can't use the buttons in the browser such as tabs and buttons bar bookmarks and other. I then have to close the browser and restart it when this happens.
Any ideas what this script number 638 and how to fix it as it appears almost whenever I start my browser and sometimes when I am browsing
Unresponsive script: chrome://browser/content/ext-utils.js:638
Thanks Dave
I solved it's an add-on called HONEY it's a promo code search engine that is good because it checks the net coupons while you withdraw but seems there is an error in this line 638 because I have everything disabled except that and the line came exact. When he is handicapped FF loads fine.
Thank you!!!

At the launch of firefox usually (but not always) get the script of usually select stop for the "chrome://browser/content/newtab/newtab.js:1003 script is not responding" message and full charge. How can I fix it?
Hello
Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily disables hardware acceleration, restores some settings and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).
If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:
- Click on the menu button , click Help , and then select restart with disabled modules.
If Firefox does not work, you can start Firefox in Mode safe as follows:
- On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
- On Mac: Hold the option key during the startup of Firefox.
- On Linux: Exit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox-safe-mode
(you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)
When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "start mode safe."
If the problem is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme or hardware acceleration. Please follow the steps described in the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause.
To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

I have no idea why will not restore my favorites. I am convinced that I even tried to reconstitute their at the time of the creation of the JSON to make sure they worked, and after that I was confident I left for a month or two then tried to recover, but it does not at all. I get the Script: chrome://browser/content/browser.js:3580 (script error unresponsive GSM) and if I click on continue or stop the bookmarks do not change their script. Please help - there are many favorites it I was counting on.
I tried all the suggestions several times and nothing worked. I don't know if it's me or FF.
Since none of the new backups worked, I went to my computer corrupted and copied the backup file of bookmark on a USB key. Then I stuck on my desktop. Went to 'restore backups', then to choose the file, then on the desktop. Fact. All bookmarks are copied in half a second.
Problem solved, and I know what to do if it happens again. Trick is to remember.Lynn

Firefox has become very slow to load.
After about four minutes, the Firefox image for a Web page is displayed. Finally, the screen for my home page (Bing) fills the screen. I get the following error message: "WARNING: unresponsive script: a script on this page may be busy, or it may have stopped responding...ยป Script: chrome://browser/content/places/browser places Views.js: 115 "
Is this script connected to Bing or Firefox?
If Firefox, how can I stop referring to this error? I uninstalled Chrome from my laptop and strongly prefer not to use it.
I clean my Internet cache using CCleaner, every night. Often the files add up to 200 to 320 MB.
Win XP Pro SP3.
Thanks a lot for your help.
It of a bit like the engine and turn it back on. It should not change anything, but... Maybe Firefox strives to update something and he couldn't finish the job, while Bing has been posted? In any case, I hope that whatever it is done now.

When you use Firefox 16.0.2 and browsing Facebook, the browser stops responding and an error message appears saying that the script has stopped working. (Script: chrome://wrc/content/overlay.js:1677))
This only happens on Firefox and Facebook work well when you use Google Chrome. As firefox is my favorite browser that I would get this fixed default problem.See this recent thread on a similar question:

What Firefox locale (UI language) do you use?
Try a clean reinstall and delete the program folder before Firefox to (re) install a new copy of the current version of Firefox.
- Download the installer of Firefox and save the file to the desktop
https://www.Mozilla.org/en-us/Firefox/all/
If possible to uninstall your current version of Firefox to clean the Windows registry and settings in the security software.
- Do NOT remove the "personal data" when you uninstall your current version of Firefox, because this will remove all profile folders and you lose personal data such as bookmarks and passwords including data profiles created by other versions of Firefox.
Delete the program folder Firefox before installing newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
- (32-bit Windows) "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\"
- (Windows 64 bit) "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla.
- It is important to remove the Firefox program folder to delete all the files and make sure that there is no problem with the files that were the remains after uninstallation.
Your bookmarks and other personal data are stored in the Firefox profile folder and will not be affected by a uninstall and (re) install, but do NOT delete personal data when you uninstall Firefox which removes all Firefox profile folders and you lose your data.
- Download the installer of Firefox and save the file to the desktop

What is "Script Chrome//bprivacy/content/js.988
When I run Firefox I often receive one of the following messages;

(2) Chrome//bprivacy/bprivacyutils.js.20 script
(3) Chrome script / / brivacy/disinfect
What are these files? When I stop the script I can go on with the normal navigation.
It is a problem with the add-on better privacy. Try turning it off and then try again. You should report this to the dev.
For now, you can try the similar addons.
