  MAC:

  • Right-click on the icon in the Finder and select the 'Go - To' folder option.

  I found the specific problem last night on another forum thread.  In fact, my computer is an older edition that had Service pack 2 installed.  As this service pack is no longer accepted by the Microsoft windows updates, updates of the said installation has failed, causing "error 0 x code 80244019."  After the upgrade to service pack 3, I found that the problem be resolved itself.

  Thank you very much for answering. In fact, right after that I wrote that I tried one more time and this time instead of enter my sign in information after the series number obtained validated, I clicked on sign at the latest prior to installation.   I am updating my Photoshop 7.0 on a new computer using Windows 7, but I get the message C:\Program Files (x86\Adobe\Photoshop 7.0\ is not there. I installed my original disk 7.0 and the directory exist.  I had no problem when I updated in Windows XP.  Is there a compatibility issue with Windows 7?

  After unchecking "Use graphics processor", quit Photoshop and re-open and check again.  Alternatively, you can try to boot mode safe (which will also disable the graphic processor).  To return to 13.0, unfortunately the only way I know how is to uninstall Photoshop and reinstall, but it isn't as long process and retains all of your settings.

  That said, these are just two alternatives - if the graphics processor is disabled, performance will suffer significantly in Photoshop.  If go back you to 13.0, performance is acceptable, but you don't have support of the retina.  Apple referred me to Adobe on this matter, and as I saw no graphical problems in other programs (including Lightroom), I tend to believe it's a matter of Photoshop.
