  Given that the CD does not work in Windows XP computer also, there seems to be a problem with the drive itself.

  You must convert the background layer to a regular layer by double clicking on the thumbnail of the layer in the layers panel.

  Press OK in the dialog box that follows.

  To convert the active path into a selection, press Ctrl + Enter (or right click in the path and choose to make selection), and then press the button layer mask on the bottom of the layers panel.

• Photoshop program error when the text tool is selected

  I tried to use the text tool in Photoshop and I am able to select the tool, but as soon as I place the cursor on my document, I get a program error. From there on, I have to force quit the program out. I downloaded an update of safety for my mac yesterday, but since I was not using the text tool in photoshop recently, I'm not sure if that had anything to do with this issue or not.   -What system, what version of photoshop, the error message says, have you tried using a different font (maybe you have a corrupt font), you reset your tools, delete your preferences, etc.

  This problem could occur due to these reasons.

  • Corrupt Windows Update components.
  • Conflict between third-party applications or external devices.

  Note If this occurs, it may take 30 minutes to undo changes, and then the system will display the Windows login screen.

  I suggest you try the procedure described in the article and check:

  Error: Failed to setup of the Windows updates. Restoration of the changes. Do not turn off your computer when you try to install Windows updates 

  Note:

  1. When you perform the system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, programs and updates that you have installed are removed.
  2. Please do not perform upgrade in-place or reinstalling Windows.

  I just upgraded to Snow Leopard and now discover there is no driver for my printer model - HP Officejet 5610. I know, I know I should have checked before but luckily anticipate problems because there was zero with Leopard. It says software set to update will be available for this series. The question is when? Is it a matter of days or weeks?
