  Thank you for using the HP forum.  You can try this alternative:

  HP extended Scan

  FTP://FTP.HP.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi

  Once it has downloaded and installed, go to start > all programs > HP > HP Scan extended > Run "HP Scan extended.

  There should be a PDF scanning function.

  Let us know if it works.

• Satellite Pro M30 graphics works not when the driver is installed

  I m having problems with my nvidia Geforce FX Go5200, in a portable Satellite Pro M30, (processor Intel Pentium M 1.7 GHz, 512 MB Ram). This card was working fine suddenly the laptop stops.

  I formatted the laptop and installed Win XP PRO. After installing the driver VGA, I restarted the laptop, but black screen started to come right after the Win XP splash screen appears. The laptop continues to start up but no screen.

  It starts fine in safe mode. I get my best screen simply by disabling the geforce card or uninstall the driver. I tried to install a new driver for the VGA on the download from Toshiba site, but same problem appears. I also tried the BIOS update but nothing happens.

  It's very strange question. It will be really interesting to know if this happens when you use the CD delivered recovery facilities.

  In any case, I assume that there is a problem with the LCD display. In safe mode, the desktop appears in the resolution decreases but the resolution to the OS boot will be suitable for a standard (1280 x 800), and of course, there is the problem.

  I am not a technician, but I recommend you contact the Service partner. AFAIK they use special tools and programs for display tests. They can tell you more.

  Don't forget to start as admin.

  Step 1: Please do all the same underneath if you did some before as is often total
  a process that solves the problem.

  Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double click on the device - driver tab.
  Click on update drivers (this will probably do nothing) - RIGHT click ON the drive - uninstall.
  RESTART this will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue
  below.

  Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
  ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
  contacts data with a pencil eraser.

  Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
  manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.

  my printer epson 595 driver. but when I go to print, the print dialog box print settings has no color option. It is grayed - out any of my old settings or type of paper I use.  called Epson and they had opened something in preview.  I have the color option, they say it's a prob of pshop.  any ideas?

  

  Well, for a 'proper' color workflow, when you choose Photoshop to manage colors (and select the correct destination profile) you are supposed to choose without color management in the Epson driver. (which is now indicated by the parameter of color being disabled... I guess) there are a number of sites that go through the steps of printing from Photoshop for an Epson, but I don't know if they have this covered new behavior.

  The Documentation provided was not at all no mention of Apple or OSX.  The copy of the ad does not mention a single restriction WindowsPC

  -How can I make this work with my Mac equipped crush (I did not in an HDMI cable yet because I want to confirm that the monitor __should__ be able to work with Apple equiipment.

  I discovered via permutation of another working pc/display combination cable, the DVI cable supplied with my new monitor was faulty (it was the first time I tried to use it-directly out of the box).  I will try to replace as a warranty repair.

  Downloaded SL yesterday and all of a sudden I cannot print.  It is considered to be one of the compatible printers.  I did a print test and it worked, but none of my apps (Word, Safari, etc.) will be printed.  I have checked my selection of the pilot, system information, deleted the driver, reinstalled the driver (from the MAC disk supplied with the printer), unhooked and rehooked everything, restarted my computer, etc.  Can't seem to connect my printer to my applications, even though the MAC in the preferences system, etc., seems to recognize it.  Any ideas?  Thank you

  Tried all of this.   Didn't work unfortunately but thank you for trying to help.  Finish reloading Snow Leopard all over again and that seems to help to deal with many problems.  Don't know why reload solved a lot of problems but at least I can print in Word which was what I really need at the moment to get a project.

  I can't resize the areas of type area. The small boxes of white circles at the corners and sides to select for resizing are missing. I tried to re-setup of CS5.   Just to be sure, when you see the point of "Show Bounding box" on the view menu, this means that the bounding boxes are disabled. When you see the element 'Hide the framework encompassing' in the view menu, it means that the bounding boxes are turned on.

  So, in order to see the bounding boxes you will need to explicitly click the "Show Bounding box" item in the view menu. It is a command, not an element that indicates that bounding boxes are turned on.

  We could call it irritating.

  I'm trying to downgrade my laptop from Vista to XP.

  Whenever I try and boot from the installation to reformat disc, he ignores the past CD and straight to boot from the hard drive. This has happened on several different boot disks. I changed all the appropriate BIOS settings and choose CD as boot device when you press F12 at startup. When I remove the hard drive, the CD boots fine.

  Any ideas?

  Have which discs you tried exactly?
  Normally if you try to start Microsoft or Toshiba disc it should load the installation correctly.

  In your case I'll try to load the default settings in the BIOS. After this set the CD/DVD drive as the first boot device.

  By the way: what happens if you insert a disc in Windows? Can read you?
  You may only clean the lens using a microfibre cloth

  Updated to 8.1 and WiFi have been intermittent and then stopped working. Called Lenovo and they said that it was what we needed to upgrade the WiFi Broadcom driver. Broadcom's not out the 8.1 driver yet, again, saying: n/a at driver page. It was 2 weeks ago or not. When Broadcom will release. Atheros already has them. This is for the ideapad n585.

  Well, there are still no adapter on the Lenovo site. However, the problem solved itself some time after it updates to autmoatic windows apparently a lot. So I guess that one of those who has solved the problem. WIFI was and remained docked for a while now and no problems.

  I think that HP has released/posted drivers for all models that will be supported. All have support do not at this stage are not likely to see them.

  Windows 10 includes a large number of drivers for the hardware older - but no way to know for sure before the upgrade. I'd certainly do Windows 7 recovery discs before you perform the upgrade.

  The quick solution is to click on the folder that contains the missing files and choose "update folder location" and then search for the file on the USB drive. The longer term and fix, you must apply is to configure Windows to always give the same drive letter USB. You can do this through the XP disk management application in the management of the computer (the control panel applet). The following screenshot is for XP and Vista and Win 7 will be something similar which is accessed via the administrative tools (see second screenshot).
