When you get a retailer to re - install Vista are you able to burn a copy of Vista as when he was the first new and turned on for the first time?

Hello and Merry Christmas to all. Sorry its been a while that I had time to be on the forum, (family illness) Anywho my daughter had dropped her Lenovo and although we went through every conceiveable options to retrieve and detaches from the dreaded "black screen" we couldn't. We had the chance to recover his files before he died forever! That was the good part... I had to resume at Tiger Direct, where they installed a new concert 320 H/D and re-installed Vista. Because she graduated she had two of the residence and turned my basement into a hoarders paradise, lol point being that she has no idea where his original disk is so I contacted Lenovo who assured me that they would send me a copy of Vista (how naïve of me) they me sent recovery disc (two games not less and it took more than a month!) that I discovered after the fact that I could have burned my own through Neo-Smart...

There is one thing that still bothers me and that's when we first pulled his new Lap Top for the first time and installed Vista I remembered that the very last paragraph said to make your own copy of the o/s before your done... what was not done! Is it still possible to make a copy of its operating system now? If Yes, how would go about this, if I wait for her to do it, it will not! She was lucky that I was able to use a slave to its hard disk of my XP Sata-IDE cable and get its files on the drive before it me locked. It has an external H/D as most of the people who do not know how to change their scores on the top of their Tower and get the full use out of them as desk top users do.

As aways thanks for the fellow forumer for your time and trouble and any help is appreciated.

Hey tiggerer

NeoSmart is software startup repair not a recovery disk to reinstall vista

and once you have replaced your hard disk you have lost the ability to do the recovery disk from the recovery partition that may have been defective hard disk

and it depends on your version of vista as to whether you can now make a backup complete pc using microsoft software

you need vista business or vista ultimate to backup full pc

read information from microsoft about it at the link below microsoft

http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/back-up-your-programs-system-settings-and-files

If you have not these versions vista expect from lenovo recovery disks be delivered or buy a third party program to do a full backup pc

one of these programs is the true picture in the link below

OK, so the ESXi nodes were hard started (as if you pushed the power button).

This is probably why the task for a planned restart does not turn upward.

Do you see the ESXi nodes with the following script?

It shows the events where the connection to a host has been lost.

    $start = (get-Date). AddDays(-7)

    Get-VIEvent - MaxSamples ([int]: MaxValue)-start $start |

    Hi Herman,.

You can try to use Windows Easy Transfer to transfer data and settings to C: on D: drive and install Windows Vista Ultimate 64-bit on the C: drive. After installing Windows Vista 64 bit on C: drive try to reuse Windows Easy transfer to transfer the data back (from D: to C: drive).

You can also take an external data backup before you attempt the Installation of Windows Vista.

  • Removed the HARD disk with MBR/BCD who installed Vista x 64 Business on the new HARD drive

I have vista x 64 business installed on a HARD drive, but it was (and still is) installed on an older HDD aswell and the smallest, the result being that when I removed the old hard drive to put in another computer, I was unable to boot the copy of vista on the new HARD disk as the MBR or the BCD bit that allows me to choose what vista start is on the old HDD. Using the installation DVD I can get up the command prompt and run Bootrec.exe without the old HARD disk installed, which can find the vista installation, but fails to solve the problem. I'm not an expert so I can't properly use Bootrec.exe, and startup recovery also does not work, although it seems to say that something to do with the startup has been fixed. Is it possible that I can get the computer running without the old HDD without having to reinstall vista on the new hard drive? Currently, I put the old HARD return drive to start the new installation of vista.

When you move an old hard drive to a new computer, the installed operating system will find new hardware (motherboard, etc.).

A clean install is a normal requirement, as no drivers are installed for the new hardware on the operating system.
    Thus, it will not start.

How to do a clean install:

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

Navigate to the location of your Lightroom catalog via finder/File Explorer and get rid of the Previews.lrdata folder suggest you (do not delete the .lrcat file)

  • How I lost my audio when this is the last time I edited the clip?

I think I have lost my audio by clicking on something while working with my video

effects? Two of the three projects I was working on that have no audio.

I had to uninstall first pro and reinstall again.  It worked.

I followed the instructions on adovbe Help Center, but it wasn't the type of problem that I had.

Unfortunately, you have posted on the forum tips & tricks. It is essentially a repository for articles on how to do things in pre and not to solve problems. Our MOD, Steve Grisetti confidence, will likely spend this main forum post, where many more people will see and be able to answer.

Now, happy that you got things sorted.

To see if we can help find out what happened, please tell us about your projects.

Let's start with your source footage. Please tell us as much about it as you can. Have you made a Capture from a camcorder miniDV Tape via FireWire in pre or imported from another source. If you need to collect details on images, the utility freeware, G-spot, can give you all the information. The more details, the better it is. An important aspect would be were these Multiplex (multiplex, which combined Audio and video files), or was the separate Audio files? In addition, this loss of Audio arrive with all Audio sources or select those?

Then, can you tell us about Preset your project - one you have selected, when you made new project?

So, you were in view Mode stage line, or in the timeline view Mode? When you "lost" your Audio files, you were still able to see the display of waveform for her, but just could not hear him, or were the Audio portions of your Clips physically missing since the Timeline? If he was shown, but without their display of waveform, or had not entirely, they still included in your project Panel? Probably too late to check now, but from the project Panel, I'd be curious to know what happened, when you Dbl-clicked on the assets and has played in the Source monitor.

Answers to these questions might help someone point to what has happened. But now it may be too late to collect all the clues.

At least reinstall you got to editing!

Good luck and don't be surprised if your message is moved to the main forum.

  • Getting error while trying to install Vista Ultimate 64-bit

I'm doing a fresh install of Vista 64-bit. He asks for the product key, I can select the partition I want it installed on, and then it goes to the screen where it starts to copy the files and I get the following error:

Windows Setup cannot reset the deployment engine. To install Windows, restart the installation.

I tried several times and get the same error. The disc is clean and has no scratches.

    PC Config is:

    Quad Core 2.66 Ghz
    8 GB memory
    XFX 790i Ultra Motherboard
    BFG GTX260 video card

    Anyone have any suggestions here?

Remove RAM 6Gbs and installation with just 2GBs RAM.

This is a known issue with vista 64-bit.

Once the installation is complete, reinstall the rest of the RAM.

    See you soon. Mick Murphy

  • When I plugged in a new card reader, I lost all my saved for importing metadata presets. Now, when I type in a new and save it, it is not available. Help, please. Thank you, dwc

    Hi people,

When I plugged a new card reader, Lexar Pro USB 3.0 Dual Slot player, I lost all my saved metadata that are used for imports.  Now, when I type in the metadata, it registers on the photos, but then it is not saved for later use, as it was before. I'm trying to save him, but it does not work. Any ideas? Is Lightroom 3, version 3.6.  10.8.5 Mac.  Thank you, dwc

I think that's the problem. Go to the original catalog, uncheck it, close LR, open LR, and create the new catalog.

  • How to install Vista SP1 after fail methods of "General Resolution" and "Advanced Troubleshooting" Microsoft online?

I have Vista Home Premium 32-bit. I want to install SP1 (and, eventually, SP2 before the April deadline, deadline of 2010). I tried the "Windows Update" - it did not work. I downloaded the installation manual - it did not work. This is probably the right forum to deal with SP1 installation problems vis a vis Vista. Could someone please offer some advice on what would be my next step in the installation of Vista SP1 32-bit? To be more precise on the substantive contribution: I met this http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=101139link, which redirects to this link http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947366and this link 947366 is where I went through resolution 1 to 4 of the resolution in a vain attempt to get SP1 installed on my computer. At the bottom of the resolution 4 that following is indicated:

Note If the problem is not resolved, this content cannot help you. So, you might want to visit the Microsoft Web site at the following address:

which of course makes back off the screen of troubleshooting altogether. I tried to call Microsoft and their lines are busy all the time. I hope that someone else has experienced this similar problem. I did much research on Google, nothing helps. I hope that someone in "Microsoft answers" can provide an answer on my question to Microsoft.
Again, my question is: what should I do to get SP1 is installed if failure of resolution of 1 to 4 of the resolution at this link http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947366 ?

    Thank you!
