• Why is Microsoft so lazy? No Service Pack 3 for Vista. No Service Pack 2 for Windows 7, but now don't want to buy Windows 8? No thanks.

  I had to reinstall Vista last night after my computer started to report that there is no bootable devices found. It took most of the day to complete the fresh install. I had to download and install the Service Pack 1 and Service Pack 2, which took about an hour each. And then finally, Windows update started downloading another 115 separate updates. Who has 'more' of time to install.

  Why Microsoft does not release a Service Pack 3 for Vista? Or better yet, why do they not release something like "Windows Vista: Final Edition" that you can buy and it just install and done with it.

• GeekSquad reinstall Windows Vista instead of Windows 7. I don't want to push and install. Is there anyway that I can do at home?

  I had to have my CPU repaired to the Geek Squad, now I don't have Windows 7.

  Geek Squad repaired my CPU, includling a new motherboard.  They were supposed to be to reinstall Windows 7, but when I got home, it was Windows Vista.  They said that I might bring (709 miles round trip) to have it installed again.  Is there a way I can do at home without driving the extra miles?

  If Vista was the original version of Windows installed on your computer then sticker product key is for Vista, which could explain the gaffe.  However if the product key sticker is for Windows 7 you can then install Windows and activate yourself save a long trip.

• I don't want windows 10, but I'm stuck in the update loop - Help!

  I have tried to avoid the update of Windows 10 and was doing a good job, until one day I came back to my computer to find the middle of the update of Windows 10. I panicked, somehow managed to cancel and thought that I had won it.

  Fast forward a week or two and my computer tells me to restart after the update. It's somewhat normal, I usually told to wait and he does. Not this time. He returns five minutes later telling me that it will restart in 14 minutes if I want to or not. I can't avoid it. It restarts. I have to go to work. I just find that it is just rebooted again later. There are tons of failed attempts at upgrading to Windows 10 (which, remember, I never authorized to do so). I have 10 minutes before it goes to the next round. I'm next to me. I know not enough about computers to speak with her directly and make the troubleshooting thing I found on the internet that involves the registry and to be honest, I don't REALLY want to not Windows 10, so I don't want any solution that leaves as the result.

  What can I do? It's time for me to just suck it up and buy a Mac?   I don't have one of them, nor I have hidden updates that I chose to not not to install. Is there anything else that I could possibly check? I checked all my drivers in Device Manager, and all are updated.

  Hi, once windows 7 installed successfully 5 updates I tried to restart the computer, but it would not be closed after that some time I did a cold longer closed. After booting even once, Windows 7 does not recognize the updates, as it is installed and I tried to install them again through Windows Update, but also install the updates manually and they all fail to install.
