Where is my taskbar?

It must be something incredibly simple, but I'm having a difficult time finding an answer!

I can't find my taskbar at the bottom of my screen. I tried all the suggestions and it's just not there. How can I get it back?

If you are using a standard keyboard, there should be a key on the same line as the SPACEBAR with a flag windows on it (this is commonly called the key to VICTORY). Press this key of liberation and the start menu should open, bringing to the task with her bar. Once the task bar is folded down, you right-click on it, choose 'Properties' and change the settings as you wish.

Please let us know if that fixes the problem.
Best wishes

  • Quick Launch toolbar in Windows Vista makes Me crazy!

The Vista Quick Launch toolbar seems to have a mind of your own.  First, there is the part of the taskbar where the quick launch icons appear. Secondly and apparently in itself, sometimes I have a second "taskbar" separate from the main.  It is a customizable, floating 'to-do bar' which will sometimes disappear, then come back from nowhere share.  I'm so frustrated because I often use this second 'taskbar'.  I find it very convenient because I can resize and customize it as I want.  The problem is I don't know even how it got there, or why he disappears sometimes, and then, also without warning, all the icons will also disappear.  Where this secondary "taskbar" is, how it works, and why the quick launch icons, I put here change order and/or disappear, sometimes simply restarting the machine.  I spend a lot of time trying to get it back, but can't understand how it works.  In addition, on the primary 'taskbar' that contains the Start button, the notification icons are not always available.  In particular, the Volume and network icons become grey and unselectable when I go to properties.  Anyone can help to explain this strange behavior and whence this second 'to-do bar '?  Thank you!

Thanks for the response and feedback.  I am happy to know that you have taken by the suggestion to create a folder icon to restore more easily.

Unfortunately, the problem of notification icon is widely known and I have seen no response that even come close to being reasonable (or is downright wrong, misleading or dangerous).  I think it's just a random glitch in the system that we must learn to live with.

I'm sorry, that you do not find the toolbar that you liked.  If you remember the features on what you have liked to have available, you can create your own toolbar and include these features and all the others that you would like to have. Here's how: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/73583-taskbar-toolbars.html.

    I hope this helps.

  • How can I get these bars in the lower right corner, which means that I have access to the internet

How do these bars back on the lower right part of my laptop that say I have access to the internet

    Hello

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

    Let me ask you;

    • Are you referring to Wi - Fi or LAN icon on the taskbar?
    • When was the last time you were able to view the icon?
    • Remember to no particular change in the PC before the show?

The option to show wireless icon on the notification area of the task bar of Windows 7 while the system is connected to the network must be enabled both on the system options, as well as network properties.

    a. for the activation of the option from the taskbar, you can click on any where in the taskbar, and then select the option "Properties".

    b. in the window that appears, choose the tab "To-do bar" and then select the option 'Notification area'.

    c. now, click on the "Customize" option and select "Show icon and notifications" option near the menu "network".

    d. click "Ok" and close the dialog box.

    e. you can also activate the 'Notification of connection Wireless Show' option of the 'Properties' of the connection dialog box.

Hope this information is useful. Please feel free to answer in the case where you are facing in the future other problems with Windows.

  • I don't see my whole desktop screen.

I tried to change the resolution and all that.  I even restored it but I still have the same problem. It seems that the office is bigger than my current screen, I can't see the bottom where are the taskbar.

If changing the resolution does not help, it may be that your monitor has been reconfigured. Several monitors have buttons on the front panel that allows you to resize the image.

  • There is a box "address" in my taskbar (NO toolbar). I want to not go. Where to go to do that?

I have Windows 7 and ended by clicking on something that gave me the box 'address' in my bar SPOTS (under the screen; I speak NOT of the toolbar above the screen. I want to not go. Where to go to do that?

Right-click on your Windows task bar and try this:

Toolbars > uncheck the box address

Does it work? If your taskbar is locked, you must first unlock it in order to make this change. It is also in the context menu.

I turned off to show the taskbar. How to do it at the time where the taskbar, where I can choose to display it are no longer there.

    Hello Sue.

Go in view > toolbars > Navigation toolbar.

If your Menu bar is not visible, press ALT or F10 from your keyboard to make the Menu bar temporarily visible. If you want it to be visible at all times, go in view > toolbars > Menu bar, or right click on the Navigation bar (for example, the Reload button), and then select menu bar.

  • Where to adjust the volume on my Inspiron if the icon on the taskbar at the bottom is no longer present

Where can I adjust the volume on my Inspiron if the icon is no longer present on the taskbar at the bottom?

    Hello doctor,

Control Panel / sounds / playback.  Double-click the device you want to operate.  Click the level and place it where you want and that should take care of it.

To solve the problem of the icon, see http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_vista-sound/how-do-i-restore-my-volume-control-icon-on-my-task/a4f239ef-2d7d-47c3-87d7-18213f843885.

    I hope this helps.

  • Where is my icon to taskbar for Volume?

Silly question, but... in the past, there was an icon in the taskbar on my tablet pc where I could adjust the volume on various things like the Speaker Volume, wave, SW Synth, CD player and Monitor entry and I could put a checkbox in a silent box for none of them. This is when I look on my Windows XP desktop pc and is called Volume control. But I can't find any which icon in the taskbar of my tablet that looks like a speaker and I must tell you that I have set task bar to display all the icons so that none are hidden. So this icon to go and/or how do I make it appear? I probably changed some setting somewhere while fixing things on my Tablet and I disappear

I found a great piece on how to disable the system sounds that makes Windows XP. I have now disabled many of them, so I can let my speaker volume mounted on a decent volume for my radio station. This site that taught me to do, it's at http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows/turn-off-the-annoying-windows-xp-system-beeps/

See if the icon is still there when you reboot (in other words, the real test) or you have to go through these swings again?

  • CTL-alt-del does not launch the Manager of tasks, but since the taskbar, "start Task Manager" is. The 'Windows key' + n, where n is M, E, F, etc also fails to do something? Teacher of Win7 64-bit. Any ideas?

CTL-alt-del is not launch task manager, but the fact Task Manager start from the taskbar.  The 'Windows key' + n, where n is E, M, F, etc also fails to do anything?  Teacher of Win7 64-bit.  Malwarebytes found nothing, neither did a full scan with MSE. There is some malware on board?  Where can I find it? Any ideas?

    Chris

CTRL-Alt-Del does not bring upward the more after XP Task Manager - it brings up a different menu options:

The options presented are also slightly configurable via Group Policy, if your system is equipped with:

    http://www.thewindowsclub.com/customize-ctrlaltdel-screen-Windows-7-Group-Policy

You can kind of 'test' on your keyboard with a built in Screen-Keyboard Windows.

All programs, accessories, ease of access, Screen-Keyboard.

When you press a key on the keyboard, it should light up on the screen keyboard on (by pressing Ctrl):

Of course, we don't know anything about your system (desktop, laptop, keyboard, PS/2, USB, wireless wired keyboard) so you may need to see if another keyboard works, another USB port, batteries, etc...

In addition to the status bar you mentioned, there is another way...

You have enabled in your Internet Explorer Menu bar?

If Yes, click on view > text size options or select Zoom (100%). There, you can make the text larger / the screen as you wish.

If you have no active Menu bar...

Right-click on an empty space below the address bar > check the menu bar.
