Where is the pdf file stored?
I work in Indesign and I try to print my file in pdf format (no export). I'm doing this because I need to convert the file to grayscale and doesn't seem to have the option when you export to PDF. I can say that he prints because of the progress bar, but I have no idea where the file is placed. I don't have the ability to choose where to store them. Is there a default folder where these PDF files is automatically stored? I posted this question on the forum of Acrobat as well.
When you use file > export and chooe PDF, you get a color PDF.
Then, in Acrobat Professional, go to tools > Print Production > convert colors
Follow the dialog box convert to grayscale.

Published by: user_anumoses on January 28, 2013 11:45I had to go back and look at some documentation on our application server. If these steps do not work for you, you may need to click on 'Help' in your business manager and search for 'DADDY' or "Database Access Descriptor".
According to these steps:
1. connect to Oracle Enterprise Manager (http://finserv1:1810) - this would be the name of your server and port
2. click on FIN_Midtier_1.finserv1 - this would be the name of your application server
3. click on HTTP_Server
4. click on Administration
5. click on properties of PL/SQL (link at the top: application server: FIN_Midtier_1.finserv1 > HTTP_Server > mod_plsql Services)
6. scroll the page to the Section of DAD
7. click the Create button (right part of the screen)
8. Select Type of DADDY of the general and click on Next (step 1 of 2)
9. start to fill in the information of connectivity for DAD
10 to precede the name of DAD or a location to a / pls in this example: / pls/findadgen
11. username: enter the user name where the stored procedure (READ_PDF)
12 password: enter the password for the user name that you just entered.
13 Connect String is the database you want the DAD to connect to (the READ_PDF where)
14. the connection string format is: TNSFormat because the connection string is resolved through tnsnames.ora
15 get the language NLS value by running the following query against the schema/database this DAD is to be setup for:select value, parameter from nls_database_parameters where parameter in ('NLS_LANGUAGE', 'NLS_TERRITORY','NLS_CHARACTERSET'); VALUE PARAMETER ---------------------------------------- ------------------------------ AMERICAN NLS_LANGUAGE AMERICA NLS_TERRITORY WE8ISO8859P1 NLS_CHARACTERSET
Enter the value in the form:
_ .< nls_characterset="">
In our example, we have: AMERICAN_AMERICA. WE8ISO8859P116. default Page: enter the name of the procedure that will be called if it is not specified in the URL. In our example, we use the name of the procedure: read_pdf
17 Authentication Mode: the default value of Basic
18. then click on Next (step 2 of 4) at the bottom right
19. click on next again (step 3 of 4)
20. click OK (step 4 or 4)
21. your done. Don't forget DAD or any changes made to the DAD will not take effect until the server is restarted. Take the necessary steps to get this done.We then get an image with the chapters of dads who shows a name or location of/pls/findadgen, the user name, connect the string and status (green arrow - maximum)

Where are the VAPP files stored?
Hello
Today, I moved the vCenter Operations Manager VM in another data store in the same host. (Datasore1 in Volumea)
The vCOP has:
- vAPP
- Analytics VM
- USER VM INTERFACE
To move them, I turned them off and migrate to another data store.
VAPP recognized them and everything works.
But where are the files of this paralytic? I must not only move the files to the same data store? Or even... y at - it VAPP files?
I'm not sure I understand your question. I guess that you may have about the data store on which you initially deploy two virtual machines! Both the analytical and the VM UI behave like other virtual machines, so if you completely move in another data store, there is nothing that they need from the old data store.

Hi freemulch1516,
If you are connected to http://cloud.acrobat.com, you should see this menu bar:
You're very probably on the files page - this is where you will see your list of files. Click ExportPDF (in blue, above) to find the PDF file > Word conversion options.

The 'problem' is the Extension Adobe PDF in the browser.
This extension retrieves the information of preview of the PDF file, so it works as expected (according to Adobe).
If you keep your up while Task Manager by placing the cursor on a PDF file, you will see the AcroRd32.exe run for a few moments and disappear while the preview for the file information is retrieved (where the hourglass for a while).
If you find it boring, use ShellExView temporarily disable the Extension Adobe PDF and see that the issue is no longer present and your PDF documents still works fine. Leave this option off and you can always enable it later if you think that there is a problem.
Deactivation and activation of the immediate environment ShellExView ls extensions (no reboot is required) so you can disable/enable the extension, watch the activity of the Task Manager with the extension enabled and disabled, hover over your PDFs, etc, etc.

I imported a file .eps (a barcode) in FrameMaker and found that the omitted PDF everyting but the .eps image. How can I get FrameMaker to recognize the text and images in the file FM, as well as the image of layered .eps file in the output PDF file? To test this, I also converted the .eps file (in PhotoShop) for a TIFF, JPG and GIF, PSD and imported of each in the doc of FrameMaker and created a PDF file.
When I imported the FM and PDFd .psd file, all of the text and images of the file FM appeared, but the bar code has low resolution.
When I imported the TIFF records in FM and PDFd, nothing appears in the PDF file except the barcode image and the text block, to which it is linked. The bar code has low resolution.
With a JPG image, everything appears in the PDF but the barcode has low resolution.
With a GIF image, it appears in the PDF, but t barcode a low-resolution.
First thing you should try is to create a PDF file of the EPS file using Acrobat only. If it does not come out as expected (in the PDF file), then you know exactly where the problem is. Create a PDF file of the EPS in Photoshop is not a good test.
You also need to update your version of FM12 - you have a patch behind.

Hello
We are currently generating very large PDF files in our industry that contains industrial revenue and users should always use the latest version (one located on the server - the pdf has always the same path and file name)
We already had bad experiences when users were using a file that has been saved on the desktop and was obsolete.
We want to do is only to print the PDF file from the server and disable printing when the file is on the desktop, or in any other place.
So my question is: are there at - it a way to read the path to the file when printing and disable printing or use addwatermarkfromtext if the path is not the path to the server?
I hope my question is clear and I will find a solution.
Thank you.
A script can be used to detect the location of the file, but you can't stop to print. However, you can display a warning label if it is not located at the desired location. So let's say you set a text field hidden with the warning message, called "PrintWarning". You can then use something like this as a script Will Print the file:
if (this.path!="....") { // here you need to enter the path of the file on the network drive, which you can get from the console by executing this.path app.alert("Error! You should not print this file from your local computer!"); this.getField("PrintWarning").display = display.noView; // The field will be visible on the print, but not on screen } else this.getField("PrintWarning").display = display.hidden;
PS. I'm moving your question to the Acrobat JavaScript forum, where he is best.
