Where Mozilla is regarding the Comcast, Time Warner effort in November 2014 Busters?

The FCC is considering allowing Comcast to acquire the neutrality of the net Time Warner & end. Bill was beaten recently in Congress, I'm curious how Mozilla Firefox considers these events

On the subject of Time Warner, Mozilla doesn't have an official notice, but we have opinions (and work with the FCC to ensure that our opinion is heard) on the Net neutrality.

  • Regarding the Hangcheck timer configuration in the installation of Oracle RAC 10 g r2

    Hello

Is it necessary to configure hangcheck timer in Oracle RAC 10g R2 installation.

Can someone guide when we should install the hangcheck timer in Linux, oracle 10g R2.

    Best regards

Yes, its recommended configuration hangcheck timer at RAC

    Configure the Hangcheck timer

The timer to check block is loaded into the Linux kernel and checks if the system crashes. It than the timer and check the timer after a certain period of time. There is a configurable threshold to hang - to ensure that, if exceeded will restart the machine. The hangcheck-timer module is not required for the operation of Oracle Clusterware (Cluster Manager), it is highly recommended by Oracle.

    cat /etc/rc.local
    modprobe hangcheck-timer hangcheck_tick = 1 hangcheck_margin = 10 hangcheck_reboot = 1

  • Where can I define the transit time of the supplier?

    Hi Experts,

I have a doubt in the definition of transit time.

Defining the supplier lead time, one of the most important breaking is the lead time of intansit.

I can set the lead time in transit provider "processing time" of the attributes of the element?

And for the CPHA to consider the transit provider for the planning period, where should I set it?

Thank you for your valuable time.

    BR,
    Babu Ji

The addition of transit times to the post-processing of lead time is a bad idea. It will certainly CAWC spit more reschedule messages as necessary. And it can increase your onhand inventory and decrease your inventory turnover.

Why you want to represent transit lead time separately by the supplier replenishment lead time? That's reduce reschedule the time in transit for the choice of messages?

Is to install the provider as an org and set transport systems maritime inter-org. You can specify the transit times it.

    Hope that answers your question

  • regarding the keys get WARNING

    Hello

I use in my key mapping search.

When I'm validating the mapping I get the warning as

VLD-1603: search for the key search Condition does not contain a key unique complete.

    Please give me suggestions.

    Thank you
    Vincent

    Hi Vincent

I think this is meant simply as a warning to check the lookup columns to see if you get the number of rows back as would expect you given the columns that you have provided for the search. That is to say. Since there is no unique key with the columns, you provided it can get you several rows returned.

    See you soon

  • Pavillion 17334: hp pavillion could not find the second time warner wifi

My wifi has two different connections. One is a 2.4 G and the other is a 5G. My HP Pavilion sees the 2.4 G, but not the 5G. How it connects to the 5G? I tried setting up manually, but it still does not work.

    Hello:

Most likely, the (card) wireless network adapter is only a single card band (2.4 GHz) only.

If you let me know which model of laptop wireless card is, I confirm my opinion on the matter.

If you are unsure which model of your laptop wireless network card has, go to Device Manager, expand the category cards network and you will find the model number and name of the wireless network adapter.

Or, you can confirm yourself... If the model suffix ends with b/g/n, the map only works on the 2.4 GHz band.

    Double band (2.4 GHz/5.0 GHz) Wireless-N cards have suffixes ending in a, b, g, d or a/g/n.

  • Cannot send outgoing mail, Time Warner Cable

    Separated from this thread.

I run a shelter in cold weather and an explosion of the e-mail sent to my volunteers around the same time, you have made and received the same exact error message.   As of today, I can't send messages.  I'm in trouble because I can't reach about 200 volunteers.  I called TWC and after about half an hour to work with me, said they can't help and this has to do with Microsoft.  I called Microsoft and they said that because I have Windows Live Mail and not Outlook, they cannot help me.  I have to buy the program in order to get direct help.  They gave me an e-mail of support to try (support.live.com) and these people want money - $42!.  I bought online a 2010 Outlook that I could download on the site and the computer would not download it.  I need to contact my volunteers or there will be a lot of people sleeping in the cold Tuesday night.  I really need help.  It was my error message:

The message could not be sent. The setting for your outgoing e-mail [SMTP] Server may need to be configured. To find the server settings for ' * address email is removed from the privacy *', please contact your e-mail service provider.

Topic "new ORDER OF THE TEAMS.

    Server error: 451

    Server response: 451 denied outgoing mail - 97.104.28.250 - see http://www.timewarnercable.com/en/residential-home/support/topics/internet/email-setup.html [R0209002]

    Server: ' smtp - server.cfl.rr.com'

Windows Live Mail error ID: 0x800CCC79

    Protocol: SMTP

    Port: 587

    Secure (SSL): No.

The server response: 451 outgoing messages refused means that your computer is fine, but the server Timer Warner block your outgoing e-mail.  They do normally when they detect that you are sending too much email (like 200 people is probably far above their limit).  They do this to block spammers.

If you need to send more e-mail, you will need to get a paid service that specializes in these things.  Time Warner could have a business plan that is suitable for this purpose, or you could use a separate company, such as Constant Contact's e-mail Services.  There are a lot.

But your computer is perfectly fine, nothing on your end is the origin of the problem.

  • Time Warner has ordered me to use an IP address directly in the address bar, now I can't stop Firefox try to contact this address whenever I start Firefox.

I was sent a new modem/wireless router by Time Warner in their package of socalled EASYCONNECT connection. They instruct me to search for my current network settings by putting a numeric IP address in the browser's address bar. This IP address could not be contacted, but this isn't the problem:

Now, whenever I run FIrefox, a tab opens and the browser tries, each time without success, to contact this IP address. I want to STOP this, simply return to what the regular homepage from Firefox / Google invites with NO PRELOADED in the address bar.

Can someone please tell me what to do? I tried a "reset" of the home page. I can't find this call my story, even if it is perhaps here.

You can use the SearchReset extension to reset preferences to default values.

Note that the SearchReset extension runs only once and then uninstalls automatically, so it will not appear on the page "> Firefox Add-ons" (topic: addons).

  • Where is the setting to warn that "the information you entered must be sent over an unencrypted connection?

Where is the setting to warn users to "information you entered must be sent over an unencrypted connection"?

The settings for warning messages have been removed from the UI (Bug 513166).
You must change preferences related security.warn_* directly on the topic: config page.

    Filter: security.warn

You can check the security.warn_submit_insecure pref on the topic: config page.

BTW: Firefox 10.0.3 ESR is not the last.

  • Link to freeware to limit the total time used on a PC (not just at the moment where)-for real free, no demo

HI everyone, I've seen several posts where people are asking for a free tool to limit the total time children are allowed on a PC by day.  I think that Windows 8 has this feature as part of its Parental controls, but I found this:
    http://www.romacocanada.ca/timeout/

It is configured on a per-user basis, which means that you must log in as each individual and configure it.   A bit tedious, but you can customize it by kid I guess.

It allows you to follow the total time per day and limit the time spent per session.  It will warn the user at a time you specify.  It also allows / the blocking program Web site, but I do not set up these features.

I just installed it, so I can't guarantee how it works right now, so we'll see.

    Hello

Thanks for sharing this valuable information. I suggest you to see the following links for parental control.

  • Apple can influence the Time Warner Cable to activate Apple TV to the TWC app?

Time Warner Cable allows the Roku boxes to run the TV of TWC application.  I encourage Apple to explore expansion of the app for Apple TV with Time Warner/Charter Communications.

You can use Apple TV Feedback. but it's Time Warner that you really need to talk. They are already an iOS app so it should not be too difficult to carry everywhere. Contact them via http://www.twc.com/support.

  • Super High speed internet Time Warner installed (50mbps) but foxfire operating only at 1.35Mbps, while the internet Explorer works fine

Internet (50mbps) Time Warner installed high-speed yesterday on my computer, but when the guy left I noticed that the speed was very slow. SIS one test on speedtest.net and found I was getting a maximum of 1.35mbps (sometimes as low as .62mbps). So I had them come back and they tried all kinds of things, only to discover Internet Explorer gets 50mbps, so it's something with Foxfire. What would it be?

Hello, when you use speedtest.net or a similar site based on flash to measure your connection speed, it could be a problem with the protected mode that adobe has implemented for its flash plugin for firefox. Some older versions of f-secure or report of trusteer are known to cause slowdowns with flash, or it could be something similar on your system that interferes (maybe security software that block/sandbox the container used for protected mode, etc...).

as a solution, you could try downgrading of 10.3 flash (which is always supported) or Disable protected mode & see if that makes a difference.

  • I changed my ISP from at & t to time warner cable, I will be able to use firefox in the same way?

I will be able to use Firefox in the same way after I change my ISP from at & t to time warner cable?

NoScript is essential. Windows 7 firewall is good. For antivirus, etc., I'm under maximum security from Trend Micro. The price is high, but it usually substantial discounts are available. Some ISPs now offer free versions of Norton or other software, but I don't know about Time Warner.
