  Looks like you are applying (accidentally) a "Preset" for these photos. Make sure that there is no preselection specified in the import dialog box, and the first (bottom) in the history of develop does not list a preset.

  I guess you mean the button to take a snapshot.  It does not record an image file, what it takes, it simply stores them in a buffer for a quick consultation.  See you the snapshot by clicking on the button next to the Snapshot button.
