  I bought a Toshiba M305D-S4830 in the United States, with limited international warranty Standard (1 year). Currently, I am now in England.

I looked at the authorized service providers in the United Kingdom which would fix a laptop with the International Service guarantee, and I contacted the closest to here where I live now. The repair shop said that it would cost 17 pounds to ship the laptop per trip (which is 34 pounds!) for the service.

  (It is ridiculous, because when I was in the United States and had laptops from other brands, shipping was free, or I had to pay for Fedex shipping for only one way. My laptop at the time were bought in Malaysia and was under warranty international too in the United States).

  In any case, I expect a cheaper method. If I send the deposit of Toshiba UK & Ireland, is it cheaper? Everybody here experience with repairs under warranty for this ASP and have knowledge about the costs of shipping?

  Of course, there is difference between Americans and Europeans of the rules. To be honest, I think these rules also depending on the country and may not be the same for all European countries.
  Have you tried to contact other SPAS in the United Kingdom? Just to see if there is some difference.

  My portable German model was repaired this year in Croatia (holiday).
  After 10 days I went laptop repaired.
  Service was not so far in my case and I brought here alone.
  Maybe you can do the same. The key is that your laptop will be repaired.

  Sorry, but I think anyone on the forum can give you info like that. It comes to your local dealer. They should have contact with Toshiba and know all the conditions of delivery.

  Hi all, I have a HP Pavilion tx2000 bought a few years ago on a trip to Malaysia. The computer worked fine, as do about all the Hp products never bought until August 2010 when he simply refuses to start properly, no display just a light dim on the screen with the casual effort, but nothing... Having been out of warranty, I asked the experts to take a look at tyold and they me it was part of the contentious problem of CPU and I have to contact HP. I did enter my serial number and all the information they asked... She came back on the site of HP because she is yet guaranteed and they'd contact me... They did, saying: Sorry, that your computer is no longer in warranty... OK, so I answer not mention litigation of the CPU and my laptop containing the chipset which is part of the ventilation issues as repair center suggested... and guess what? No new response from HP... Great! So where should I go from here? It's bin, lose faith in HP or y at - it someone somewhere who can point me in the right direction in getting it fixed please? Seems like a resident of the United Kingdom, we do not have the same rights as American citizens that our money is the same when it comes to profit...

  All I want is a working laptop nothing more please lol...

  Is your daughter permanently or temporarily to the United Kingdom?  I request, because that could make a difference on where and how the iPhone gets repaired if necessary or what Apple support may be available.  If I understand it, Apple is committed, only iPhones in the country, the iPhone service is purchased.  If so, which could prove heavy.  In addition, some features (such as FaceTime) not available with iPhones purchased in some countries (I think that the Kuwait is one - but not positive).

  One recommendation to consider is buying a gift card from Apple for the iPhone, send it to your daughter and let her buy the iPhone in the United Kingdom.  Just a thought.
