Where to configure the SCAN address?

Hello

I'm in the middle of the installation of the cluster of grid infrastructure for Oracle 11 g 2 RAC on AIX 6.1

I had defined the public IPs, IPs private and interconnections in the files DNS and hosts. I do not use GNS because we use static IP, no DHCP address.

during installation, I will ask you the address IP SCAN, I prepared and resolved by the DNS, but I don't know where the configuration

SCAN IP address is not the ping requests but can be lookedup and I get the answer that he

When I put it, in the switch in a Rack or will I choose different installation method.

Kindly advice

Kind regards

whatever Rajesh mentioned URL. I think it's the perfect way to set up.

For the time being you can tent to configure only a single IP SCAN address in the file/etc/hosts in all nodes of the Cluster and try to move forward.

That very sure, it won't ping until the Configuration of the grid is not complete.

    Sari,

Even if there is not a physical module services fire power management port, it uses Management0/0 port to connect to the module of SFR.  If you like on the same VLAN as your server VLAN on the SAA plug Management0/0 port on a switch that is sharing the network server VLAN and give the module SFR an IP address on the same subnet.

Make sure that you remove the statement under interface Management0/0 nameif. Here is an example:

    interface Management0/0
    management only
    No nameif
    security-level 100
    no ip address

  • Unable to configure the address IP 8184 PXI

    Hello

I can not configure the IP address of a PXI 1031 with a controller 8184. I followed all the steps in the manuals to help but after that assignment of an IP address, when I restart the controller the following message is displayed:

mounting: mounting/dev/hda1 on/home/ftp/c failed: invalid argument

    Enter safe mode

    The 0.0.0.0 IP address

The hard drive has two WinXP and LabView real-time installed, but the second switch of hardware on the 8184 is enabled, then the controller boots with LabView RT in Mode without failure (as indicated on page 2-13 of the PXI-8184 user manual)

Does anyone know how to fix this?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello Casey,.

Apparently, the issue is resolved. I formatted the hard drive of the PXI-8184 (with the FAT file format) and after reboot, I was able to 'paste' an IP address. Subsequently, I installed all the software of motion, that I need and in real time of NEITHER.

Yes, PXI was ordered with dual boot. It is amazing that NEITHER offer the dual boot with a file system that does not allow for dual boot! Moreover, as I could see, there is not a single line on the manual in the PXI-8184 allerting or help files to this problem! This should be corrected... I spent a week trying to fix this! If it wasn't for your help, I always don't seek an answer.

    Thank you once again,

    João

  • Cannot configure the static IP address for Cisco Touch 8 "

    Hi all

I found that I can not configure the static IP address for Cisco Touch on TC7.0.1 / 7.0.2 with the procedure described below.

    1. upgrade a codec (e.g. SX20 TC6.3 or less) and a touch paired with the codec for TC7.0.2.

    2. after the upgrade, désapparier (with the help of désapparier Touch button) touch and it reboot.

    3. tap on "IP settings."

    4. Select "Manual IP allocation".

    5. Enter the IP address, subnet mask, default gateway, and then press "Save".

Even though we have configured the static IP address with the above procedure, IP allocation remains 'Auto' (= DHCP) and the IP address, subnet mask, default gateway is also empty.

In this situation, the only way to configure the IP address for the Touch is to use the DHCP server.

I guess many users uses the static IP assignment like us, so please fix it as soon as POSSIBLE.

    Best regards

    Kotaro Hashimoto

    Hi Kotaro,

It is a known problem in TC7.0.1 and TC7.0.2. The id of the bug is CSCum82147.

To work around the problem, set IP address you want the button before moving on to TC7.0.x.

The bug has been fixed and will be included in the next version of the TC software.

  • Configuration of the IP address failed NIC a VM

    Hello

I use the following line in my script to configure a static IP address for multiple VMs to csv:

    «Invoke VMScript - VM $VM.name ScriptText-' netsh interface ipv4 set address "Ethernet0" static $vmip $sub $gw' - GuestUser $GuestUser - GuestPassword $GuestPass»»

The command works for a long time to map NETWORK is actually called "Ethernet0."   In order to operate whenever I need to rename the NIC in my models as Ethernet0.  I wonder if I can create a more secure solution that doesn't require you to change the VM Templates I deploy from fire.

I can do the following situations?

Option #1 before running the command netsh run another command that renames the adapter of whatever it was originally (example, area 1, area Network2, etc.)

Option #2 before running the netsh command Add a new adapter called Ethernet0, configure the IP address on the new card using the netsh command, release the IP address on the original adapter, and then remove the original virtual machine adapter.

    Alternatives best I think not?

You can use the Get-VMGuestNetworkInterface cmdlet to retrieve the networkinterface and Set-VMGuestNetworkInterface to change the IP address, for example:

    $vmGuestNetworkInterface = get-VMGuestNetworkInterface - VM $vm - GuestUser pass2 user - GuestPassword

    Game-VMGuestNetworkInterface - VMGuestNetworkInterface $vmGuestNetworkInterface - GuestUser pass2 user - GuestPassword - IP 10.23.112.58
