Where update the drivers from?

If you update drivers from your site to computer/laptop brands (for example Dell etc.)?  or get the new drivers from the manufacturer that make your drivers (drivers brand such killer Networking, NVIDIA etc.)?

Hello

Visit the site of the manufacturer of your system/motherboard first, then check the real device
manufacturer sites an even newer version. BIOS, chipset and a few other proprietary drivers
always be available on the website of the manufacturer of the motherboard of the system.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Look for the updates with system Maker (manufacturer of motherboard for customized systems)
BIOS, chipset of low level drivers, and device embedded and separate major
drivers. DriverView execution - VIEW driver Microsoft set hide - updated from those who don't
Dump on their behalf.

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded
on your system. For each driver in the list, additional useful information is
Poster: load address of the driver, description, version, product name,.
company that created the driver and more.
http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit system Maker as replacements and manufacturer device which are the
most up-to-date. Control Panel - write - graphics card - device manager
the brand and complete model of your video card - double-click - driver
tab - write version information. Now click on UPdate Driver (this cannot
No matter what as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then do a right click - Uninstall.
RESTART this will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard
If there are 3rd party with their own software and drivers and the other main device drivers
you have.

Now, go to the site of the manufacturer of system (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) (restoration) and
then device Maker (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) of the site and get their
the most recent versions. (Look for BIOS, Chipset and software updates from the Maker system
(website here).

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN -.
REBOOT after each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you are
installation actually appears. This is because that some rollback of drivers before the
later is installed (particularly that audio drivers) so to install a driver - restart
-check that it is installed and try again if necessary.

Repeat BTW to the manufacturers - manufacturers of devices DO WORK DO NOT THEIR SCANNER-
Heck manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

  • Satellite A200-1fl - Impossible to update the drivers from ATI

    Hello!

I have a Toshiba A200-1fl, two days ago I installed Windows 7 64-bit. Just after the installation of Windows has installed the drivers for ATI Mobility Radeon HD2400 (but the version (Microsoft WDDM 1.1), after Windows update installed on 18/08/2009 (former) ATI version.

So, I went to the ATI Web page, I downloaded the latest catalyst suite, but it did not work "Problem with your software/hardware" (were the drivers for Windows 7-64), reflection, is that in the page Web of ATI says:

+ "The following are not supported in this version: +"
+ Computers laptop Toshiba (Please check with your notebook OEM for support of the drivers for these notebooks) +.
+ Sony VAIO notebooks (Please check with your notebook OEM for support of the drivers for these notebooks) +.
+ Computers portable Panasonic (Please check with your mobile phone OEM for support of the drivers for these books) ' + '.

So I went to the TOSHIBA Web page, but only the drivers for Windows 7-64 bits are very old (version 8.432).
I tried to install go to device - display driver - update manager and put the name of the file in the folder ATI, but Microsoft says: this driver is already up to date.

The only suite ATI that works is the 9.9, the rest install me just the Install Manager and some other components but not display/graph drivers.

So what I need to do to update my drivers? Why can't those ATI?

    Thank you very much!

Windows 7-64, Ati Radeon HD2400, 2 GB of RAM responsibility.

    Hello

You should only use the pre-tested driver Toshiba because they are changed from the original with protection against overheating. If you try to install these drivers, they can damage your graphics card. I remember, there was a user playing with drivers such as lead to damage of the graphics card.

  • Cannot update the drivers on the XPS 8700

I just bought a Dell XPS 8700 from Best Buy last Wednesday, and now I have implemented and I tried to update the drivers from the product running. After the execution of system analysis it says that I need two drivers updated so I accepted and installed but when I restarted my computer and rerun the analysis system he says that the same two drivers are still needed. I installed these two drivers, four times and they are not yet installed.

Can someone tell me what is happening and how to fix this. These are the two drivers.

    a simple? can anyone help

Despite the fact that the other contributors to this thread might disagree, personally I don't recommend updates Windows for driver updates either and I'm not alone in this opinion.

    Where ElderL said...

Usually, it's just NEVER a good idea to accept hardware drivers (video, audio, network) of MS and if any hardware driver updates are available to you, say the MS Updates you refuse their and never offer them to you again. MS has done a bad job to determine what hardware drivers you need. You should only get hardware drivers from the WEB site hardware manufacturers and never from MS.

    Where Palcouk said...

Update the drivers is not required, unless this update of the driver gives greater functionality or solve a known problem. Driver updates are provided free of charge by officials of your hardware. Do NOT use winupdate for pilots

    I could go on.

  • update the drivers of yoga are very old?

    I have laptop 2 13 Yoga...

I have downloaded/installed new driver for my laptop from lenovo.com

Once installed (driver genius proffesional)... When the scanner for the new driver gives me 9 new update for the driver

then installed (drivermax) to verify that this driver are in need of an update and it also gives me 9 update to the same drivers...

Yet once I open my computer cell phone supprt page and copmare drivers version with versions of drivermax me game...

I found this version of drivermax drivers are more recent than the laptop support page

Why the lenovo is too slow for the update to the new version?

First of all, get rid of drivermax. I have tried in the past and it is not all it is cracked up to to be.

Drivers Lenovo provides are tested to work with combinations of material not only a single chip.

For example, the video chip may have a dozen drivers on its own. But you add to it a certain processor and the number drops to 3, add a certain audio chip and drops numbers 1. You may be able to get other drivers to work, but they can cause a problem with other hardware on your computer. It is not that Lenovo is slow to update the drivers, is that after a period of time that certain combinations of materials are no longer used because they got too old. This can happen after a very short period of time.

  • HOW CAN I UPDATE THE DRIVERS CORRECTLY

Hi, in another topic on fan-problem on the x 220, a person mentioned that the problem is stemming from a bad way to update the drivers. What I do most often: I shape the server at the same time in a single download updated drivers and install them both. Is is better after be adjusted for them to install them one by one and restart the unit after each installation? and is there a specific order to install?

I recomment to install the first chipset driver, then powermanger driver and driver HOTKEY (this is the pilot of the system interface). rest really doesn't matter

  • Installed all the drivers from HP for HP17-3077NR site, still a PCI device is uninstalled

    Hi all

I had recently no other choice, then to reinstall Windows 7 64 bit on my HP Envy 17-3077NR. Everything works well so far, but I noticed that in Device Manager, a PCI device seems not to be installed. I tried an extensive search on the internet, has tried to update the driver on Windows. Uninstalled the resettled drivers and the device new & again. I installed all the drivers from the hp website for my 17-3077nr, but still a PCI device is uninstalled. Nothing seems to work. This is the first time that I am reaching out in a forum, because I'm desperate.

Anyone have an idea I was not yet executed?

This type of "all in one" software locator pilot are to be avoided at all costs.  They tend to cause problems that may require you to reinstall your Windows completely.

Drivers do not need to be updated on a "scheduled" interval  You should only update drivers when you have a problem with the corresponding device.  You get directly suitable for free from the manufacturer of the device driver.
