Which Audio library

I intend to present a request for the recording and playback of audio, I went to the website and many options of libasound to openAL and SDL are options to incorporate a sound in an application. Among these, which do you prefer personally and who would meet these criteria:

1: allows changes of volume, frequency

: 2A methods of report return of sound recording, frequency for example, real-time.

3: supports different formats, wav, mp3, etc..

As always, thank you guys. I know this isn't a specific technical question, but I would appreciate your honest opinions and advice.

Hello

I am familiar with the Audio libraries, but you can still ping other members of the community on the Board of directors who have posted related topics, like the vingilot.

  • A program to choose which audio device uses

I saw the same question asked and asked and on many different forums with many different responses, most of which don't really know what was the real problem.

Is there a way to get the Application use Audio Device 1 and get B asks to use Audio Device 2?

Before people will tell me how to tell what Audio device to use Windows Media Player or VLC, I KNOW!  It does not help a bit.

I want to be able to do if the two Application A AND B of the application don't have the ability to select which sound device they use.

I am running Win 7 64 bit. I have a 5.1 speakers connected to my onboard sound and I have my TV connected to the HDMI connector on my graphics card.

What I want to achieve is to have the sound of the game I play to get out of my speakers, and the sound for the film I'm streaming come on my TV.

I have not yet found an option in IE, Firefox, every night (64 bit Firefox) or Chrome that allows me to use what audio device they use. Not one that would be important they use other applications like Flash Player or Silverlight to stream the video, or which have an option to choose which audio device they use, although oddly enough I found an option to select what mic was used on a single program...

The programmers of these two Star Wars: The Old Republic and The Secret World, (the two games I play right now) have neglected to include the ability to choose which Audio device they use in the games options.

I came across a post suggesting IndieVolume, I thought "Great, the answer to my prayers!", I downloaded the trial version to see if it would work. Installed, open it, looked at GUI, set up... Nothing has changed, did not work.

There must be a way to do it built-in to Windows or that you would not get the option to select which audio device WMP can use.

I would have liked to be able to do this easily in Windows 7, because after all was not Windows 7 supposed to be all about doing things you want to do with your PC, so much easier to do? I wish more programmers to understand that it is really necessary for the choice of the audio playback device in their games.

Until these times there at - it anyone out there that can suggest a program or something that will help reach my goal? Or a way to do within Windows?

IE and Silverlight are the two Microsoft but they don't give you the option.

There must be programming in Windows to do can you supposed to have a reading of default communication as a standard device. Surely, that works on the same principle, with various programs that will be run, get recognized by windows as a program of communication and see their directed audio output in an appropriate manner.

Is there a way to access which programs windows recognizes as a communications program and adding to the list manually?

Force windows to think that request is a communication program and get the result of requests, the value 1 of Audio device which is defined as the "default communication device".

Leave the Application B crossing 2 Audio device which is defined as the "Default Device".

  • What type of driver sound has extension wav. Which audio driver should I download Windows 8 and how?

What type of driver sound has extension wav? Which audio driver should I download Windows 8 and how?

    Sannia Hello,

Thanks for posting your question on the Microsoft community.

We need more information about the issue so that we can help you better.

    1. do you try to play audio files. WAV extension?
    2. If so, what happens when you play the files? They do not play, or you receive an error message or a code?
    3. What is the brand and model of your tab Windows 8?

Thank you for details on the issue.

File (WAV) Audio Waveform format is a Microsoft and IBM audio file format standard for storing an audio bitstream on PCs. It is an application of the Resource Interchange File Format (RIFF) binary stream format method for storing data in "chunks", and thus is also close to the 8SVX and used the format AIFF on Amiga and Macintosh computers, respectively. It is the main format used on Windows for audio usually compressed gross systems and not compressed. The usual bitstream encoding is the format for linear pulse code modulation (LPCM).

Audio driver is common for all types of audio files. However, in order to play an audio file with a specific extension, you may need a special codec that you can install. You can refer to this article:

I've just upgraded to the latest OS on my old iMac desktop computer. He asked my photo library. I have three, including the opening. Which one to choose. I don't want to lose any of them.

Save all this and then choose the one that you have the most content in. You can launch pictures with the Option key and choose another later if you wish.

  • Remove an Audio library

Someone knows how to remove audio clips imported into a project? I save my clips externally, then import into Captivate. But if I need to change the clip, captivate records the new clip in the library, as well as the original. After a few hours ago, a 50-slide film has more than 100 audio clips. It shows that in the film summary. I know how to remove the clips of the glide, but they remain in the library. Whenever I make a small change to an audio clip, the size of the file continues to grow. I have a 89 slides with .cp file is more than 200 M! More than 160 M is attributed to the audio, but the entire film runs only 6 minutes!

    Thanks Rick! I'll try that.

  • Satellite P100-426 - which audio driver I need for Windows 7 64 bit?

    Hello

I installed Windows 7 64 bit for my P100-426. It was no problem but I can not foud a driver for the sound chip and I do not know the sound chip that is on board.

    Maybe someone can help me.

    Thank you very much.

    Hey,.

The problem is hat for Windows Vista 64-bit or Windows 7 64-bit are drivers available for your laptop model. I checked this on the official website of Toshiba:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp

According to the Toshiba page your laptop has audio chip Conexant
But Conexant doesn t provide drivers directly then you will have to check again the Web from Toshiba site

I discovered that the Satellite P300 also has card his Conexant and there is a driver for Windows 7 64-bit available. In my opinion, you should try the audio driver for Satellite P300. Theoretically, this should work. ;)

  • Which Audio files can be saved as a ringtone?

I come myself sent a ringtone, but cannot find the option to save it as a ringtone, just to play or save it as a sound. I looked at other audio files in my Inbox and I saw that some of them did not "Save as ringtone" and "Set as ILA." Is this because of the type of file? The only file that seems to work is an mp3 player. The file that I sent was an mp3, but my phone tells me that it is an aac. Are there other types of file can I send it as? I have attached the ringtone.

In fact, I sent an email to Motorola to find out. They replied saying that it should be less 128 Kbps, if it's under 02:30, or 64 Kbps so it's less than 30 seconds. I cut the time to 30 seconds and managed to save. Perhaps you have inaccurate information.

    The library is a container.
Move the Documents folder on the F drive (right click on Documents, properties-map) and the library /should/ re - point himself at this place.

  • Error adding audio to the accordion Widget

I am trying to use the Accordion widget that ships with Adobe Captivate 7. In the properties of the Widget, you can add audio to the description under each tab. When I go to select a narrated audio file (which has been recorded using Adobe Captivate) in the library, I get this error message indicating that I "chose the type of wrong file...» ». If someone has encountered this? What other types of audio file can be added?

    Audio Error.png

    Hello

While I have not seen the exact behavior you describe, audio did not for me on this gadget until I did the following steps.

    1. export the audio library. Mp3 format.

    2. starting at the widget when adding audio, choose the import option and direct to MP3.

I tried export from the library in WAV format and actually saw the message you have described. But by following the above steps it worked for me.

  • New Audio USB Interface lose sound on El Capitan

    Hi all!

A few weeks ago that I upgraded my MacBook Pro retina 15 "end 2013 to El Capitan, after that my USB Audio Interfaces (Focusrite Scarlett 2i4) and Safire 6 USB stopped working properly. Both work correctly when they are connected to an iMac 5K running the same operating system.

I can listen to Audio for some time (about 10-2 Minutes, it is always different), when the Audio starts to crush und get outs, after a certain time there is only silence "click on" come out of the speakers.

Heres an Audio file of the sound that results from: https://www.dropbox.com/s/5nb96bmdh47kmi2/20160923%20141619.m4a?dl=0

I already tried to reinstall OS X (starting with CMD R and reinstall OS), reset PRAM and SMC. Nothing has changed the question. Any ideas where it comes from?

    Greetings

    Chris

It is most likely a software conflict. Note the time at which audio is running out. Open the Console and look for accidents or mistakes at this time.

The reason why it crashes on a mac, but not the others most likely is related to differences in software installed. Run Etrecheck on touch mac and post the report here.

  • Can what audio sources I use in iMovie?

In iMovie, can which audio sources I use?  I find that only iTunes songs appear.  Can I use music from a CD?

In addition to the iTunes music, you can use several common digital audio files as AIFF, MP3, AAC, Wave etc by drag and drop in iMovie. Griffin Technology makes a device called iMic which digitizes audio and connects to your Mac. It is a good solution to connect to your CD drive and scan the audio output digital file and send to the Mac. They also include scanning software. It costs about $50 and is a great way to get your CD, turntable, radio audio in iMovie.
