• Way to know which component is called a function

  Hi all.
  
  I think I saw a way to know which component is called a function. For example, lets say that I have two datagrids, each with a similar list from items in a database, but with of different ComponentID. A datagrid control ID is dg1, and the other is dg2. I remember having seen a way to NOT have to hard code each dg ID in the service, but to recognize which component calling the function. In my view, that it was something like 'thisComponent' or "theComponent" or something like that.
  
  So, if I click on an item in a list, I call the getComponentDetails() function.

• RIDC API: Which service to call to get information about all content in a file at end of BPM-piece attached?

  In my application, it is possible for users to upload documents to WebCenter Content server. Later, when a BPM process is started, I need to attach these documents to this process. Based on this article, I need the following information on each document:

  • Do you have
  • dRevisionID
  • dFormat
  • dDocType
  • dSecurityGroup
  • DocUrl

  I tried a few services such as 'COLLECTION_GET_CONTENTS' and 'COLLECTION_DISPLAY', but they could not give me all of the above information. My goal is to get all the documents in a folder and all of the above information in 1 single service call. I try to avoid using "COLLECTION_GET_CONTENTS" just to get a list of the documents and then call "DOC_INFO" on each document in the list to get detailed information, as it seems to cost too much service calls.

  I also tried using "GET_SEARCH_RESULTS" but I could not understand the correct "QueryText" to search for all documents in a folder.

  I would be very grateful if you could show me if there is a service that can return detailed information about all the documents in a folder.

• Outgoing external calls for SalesForce

  Hi people,

  I currently have the integration between Eloqua and Salesforce, when a contact Eloqua gets updated an Eloqua form and submitted, he asks a program (that I put in priority mode) that then sends the contact in a domestic event, which in turn calls an external call. The external call has its 'this call by delaying' the value 0 hours. Am I wrong in thinking that, once that he reached that stage i.e. once its sent to the external call to the program) the call and the update for SalesForce should happen fast enough? It seems to take time before it is updated in SalesForce? If I test the external call to Eloqua using the external 'test call' and I run the test, it will update SalesForce very quickly. Am I missing something, or is it still a delay? The customer is not happy with the time it takes to update SalesForce and in some cases it takes that long that the SalesForce AutoSynchs to Eloqua are overwrite the initial changes that Eloqua should have made SalesForce, i.e. the outgoing original.

  Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

  So it seems the longer period of delay is when I look at the State of the integration and see pending updates. I can see my contacts here, but it takes a while before the update, and then update SalesForce. Get in touch with Eloqua they stated:

  «All external outgoing calls (updates of Eloqua of Salesforce) are queued in the "first come first served '.» That said, waiting times generally cannot be more than 10 to 20 minutes of average. "and also"all calls that are added to the queue will be executed, without worrying if there is new data to be updated or not. Slowdowns are based on server load times. In heavier server load times, time queue/updates also takes more time. As soon as the external call is executed (i.e. through program generator), it enters the queue. Note that 17 minutes is not unusual for higher volume calls (contact update or update of lead). »

  After completing a call Skype the internal MIC is silent and does not work in subsequent calls or among all the apps of the device (e.g., Google Voice Search, Hangouts, WhatsApp, etc.). Only after restarting the device, the internal MIC will work again.
  
  Steps to reproduce:
  1. start a Skype call (no matter if it's with or without video). The microphone works well, both parties can hear each other.
  2 to end the call (regardless of which party the call hangs).
  
  After the end of the call from the internal microphone stops working. If I run a new call, I can hear the other party but they don't hear me.   Generally, I prefer Intel based computers, but in this case based on the specifications you cite, the AMD model has better video and would be better for the games.

  I'm not even to try to predict the service life of each model, because it depends of so many variables. Laptops now becomes obsolete in 3-5 years anyway even if they could last longer.

  But I'm not watching the real for the 15-ak005no specifications and it shows no graphics Intel 530 but the nVidia GeForce GTX 950 M, which would average model better than the video of R7 in AMD so if that is correct, you should get the Intel model no question even if it is more expensive. The model of switchable Intel likely a graphic processor, which means that there so the 530 Intel and nVidia.

• subVIs does not function when it is called by main secondary to vi

  I have a main.vi that loads the façade into a secondary four subVIs when selected. Like most applications, everything works fine up to come to build the project (.exe). Program works as expected when run it from .exe but when all the vi.lib functions (for example reading png Subvi) is included in one of the subVIs called, the façade is loaded correctly, but the Subvi is not running and the invoke node (perform a VI generates error 1003).

  I've included the subVIs in 'Always include' in the specification to build under the heading Source files.

  I made a significant change to your "called" sub - VI (I created an icon for it - you'll see why it's important in a minute) and again your main VI.  This code snippet is saved in LabVIEW 2015, but it is simple enough that you should be able to recreate it in any LabVIEW version you are using.

  

  I like to use references static VI (the first thing on the block diagram) because, especially if they are associated with a Subvi with an icon, they provide a mnemonic, robust and easy to get a lot of useful sub - VI 'properties' (for example the path) without worrying about the execution environment.  In particular, they work very well with the Start function Asynchronous Call, I think it's much simpler to use than the VI server method.  I'll walk you through it...

  1. Start with a static reference of VI to the Subvi to run asynchronously.  If your Subvi has an icon, it will appear (as shown here) in the body of the static VI reference, which makes it slightly better documented.  Notice the Red Star on top of the static reference - which indicates a reference strictly - type (right click and choose strictly typed), you need to the asynchronous call start.
  2. This reference gets first wired to a property node - the unusual appearance of the node ('VI Interface Type 2') comes from the strictly typed reference.  We choose the Path property.
  3. The path gets plugged into an open VI reference function.  Because we use asynchronous Start Call (Forget), we specify Option 0 x 80 (glance using reference VI open for further explanation).  We also wire the Strict Type of step 1 at the entrance to this function Type.
  4. The VI reference resulting is wired to Start Asynchronous Call, which starts the called sub - VI.
  5. We also spend it to Insert Secondary VI method, which shows the sub - VI running in the Sub panel.
  6. Now, we interact with the sub - VI in the Sub panel as much as we want to.
  7. In the main routine, we now run the while loop, waiting simply Stop pressing.  I placed a 100 msec waiting here to give priority to the Subvi.
  8. When leaving us, we remove the sub - VI of the Sub panel, he abandoned and get out.  I see no need to put a function exit here - if you want to automatically close the main façade, just do it.

  This is the first time I use call asynchronous one under VI. in my program everything is OK but when I run it, the 'run' demolition 'Cancel' icons above the fliker Sub VI. What is the problem with my program.

  I would like to create a DLL in LabVIEW which can be called from a C program.

  The purpose of the DLL is to display a dialog box along side a C program user interface and view a picture is updated continuously in the program.

  The LabVIEW DLL would be

  Is this feasible?  I assume that the DLL has to work like a demon, because the DLL is a dialog that must cover along the side of the user interface of C.  To run a DLL written in LabVIEW, is the needs of PC - the runtime?

  Everything was OK until 5. For 6, you do not get a reference to something C. You simply call the exported function that is the VI 'set params.

  I am currently migrating from a CVI 9.0 project that worked well with the latest version (was 8.5?)

  Now, I am facing problems with the safe thread queues.

  I'm a reminder TSQ Installationavecuneracine CmtInstallTSQCallback, where I spend my CVICALLBACK callback function name (according to the return code, successfully). The recall was intended to read the elements of the tsq, while the data is written asynchronously on it. This writing happens at very low frequency, and there is a processSystemEvents() in the main function of the same thread, which is actually called.

  Now the problem is that the callback is never executed, so the TSQ is facing an overflow quickly. I don't know if I'm missing something, is there major changes to the thread-safe queues in the new version of CVI?

  If it helps - I'm working on a target of PXI 8196 RT with LV RT 8.6 and the CVI runtime engine and variable network CVI or RT 9.0 motor is installed.

  Any help is greatly appreciated!

• How to stop an asynchronous call to activex makes a VI?

  I use Labview 8.6 to collect data of monkeys hand movement. Because some graphics are necessary, I do use Visual c# express edition to program graphics and appeal that the VI using ActiveX from my c# code. I use three VI, which two I call synchronously (I'm waiting for the call ends). But the third VI must be called asynchronously so that I can continue my work in c#. This VI extracts data from the accelerometer via DAQ and exported in a file of measure LV in a while loop.

  I start the asynchronous call by VI.run (true) where true indicates that I don't want to wait for the call. Now when a trial is over (Monkey Gets a visual cue, then works correctly ends) and I have to stop collecting data. I have one of the following two ways to stop the VI.

  (1) make an abandonment by using vi.abort (), but this means residue data collected by DAQ not written to the file of measures.

  (2) set the button stop in the false via VI VI. SetControlValue(). In this case, the VI does not stop immediately, it takes a LONG (1.5 to 2.5 s) time to stop. I tested that it takes a long time to stop running the VI using Labview without using c#.

  Note that as soon as I stop my VI, in the file lvm I want to write c# 'trial closed' to differentiate between successive trials data. I don't want to create new lvm for each test file (there will be some 300 of them), so I add data in the same file. In the case of 2), I don't have a VI.isRunning () to see if it stopped running. I can sleep() in my c# code for a second or two and then add 'the trial ended' file lvm but all of this is in real time that happens and I can't sleep that long.

  Now my problem is that the two options are not good for me. Is there a better way that someone can suggest? "And why does do so for the VI to stop if I use 2)? Is there anything I can do about it? Thanks in advance.
