Which is the latest version of FireFox 'solid'; 3.6.21, 3.6.23 or 3.6.24?
I rebuild my desktop and wanted to have a version of FireFox on it. I use Chrome, for the most part, these last few months, but I still like the old FireFox, its stability, performance and what he represented. Having a good 3.x version is fond and nostalgic; close to have a reliable and quality plus car to always have around to fall back on!
I wonder, what, which, in the various opinions, is the 'strongest' in the old classic FireFox? I've heard a lot about 3.6.23. It is also the last I used before trying to 4.x (the road who told eventually leads to the Chrome). But 3.6.24 was later, and I see much referenced 3.6.21.
I know that's not a big difference, but I figure, if I keep a static version, no update of FF around, which is the best, more solid and more bug free?
Hi, Kosh, I can understand why you want to keep the version of Firefox 3.6.x. I use Firefox and Chrome as well. I agree with aspöck 3.6.24 is the latest 3.6.x version which is always maintained for security and stability. I use this version on one of my laptops (XP) for the same reasons you mentioned.
Here is the official download link for Firefox to Firefox 3.6.24.
I also maintain a web page for all updates Quick Firefox release with official download links.

I keep says my browser needs updating and it does not work on some Web sites. I had bad experiences in the past trying to update to Apple's OS and Firefox due to compatibility issues. I guess I could go to Safari, but I have been using Firefox for many years and prefer to stick to what I know.
Firefox 16.0.2 was the last to work on the old Mac OSX 10.5.x as Firefox 17.0 abreast demanded that OSX 10.6 +.

What is the latest version of Firefox which can run unsigned module?
I downloaded the latest version of the installer of Firefox offline and it will not run an add-on unsigned vital. I have an older version of Firefox (42.0) who execute him. What is the latest version of Firefox without verifying signature of the add-on? Thank you.
42 of Firefox is the latest version of Firefox which has been made public. If you run a generation later, it's probably either every night, beta or Dev edition. If you have an add-on unsigned, you run in these editions, you can disable the requirement by setting xpinstall.signatures.required to false in: config.

In the latest versions of FireFox, there's a display option which allowed a change in the size of the fonts and objects on the screen temporarily on the fly. This seems to be missing from version 6. It was very useful and should be added to version 6.

If you mean the - and + Zoom control so it is always there in Firefox 6.0
or
View-> ZoomEdit: I see that you are using Windows 7 where the menu bar is hidden as a Firefox orange button by default. Some menus objects much may not be visible in the menu of the Firefox button. Show the Menu bar or use the - and + Zoom controls buttons.

In previous versions of firefox, I could use about: config to make the new tab opened as my home page. the latest version of firefox doesn't seem to allow this. I find it very frustrating that all the search engines seem to want to dictate what I see when I Browse. I wish to install the new version of firefox
In Firefox pref browser.newtab.url 41 disappeared. This pref has been hijacked by malware so frequently while Mozilla has decided to remove this pref to eliminate this kind of diversion.
You will need an extension like this one to restore.
https://addons.Mozilla.org/en-us/Firefox/addon/new-tab-override/Or to have your home page as the new tab page, try this extension.
https://addons.Mozilla.org/en-us/Firefox/addon/new-tab-homepage/If you're using Classic theme restaurant, go to the options of CTR > general UI (2) and set your preference for the new tab URL there.
For Super Start , you can use the topic: superstart page.

I'm having a problem to display YouTube videos in the latest version of Firefox.
I'm on Firefox 34.0 on a Windows 7 laptop. Until very recently, I had no trouble viewing videos on YouTube. I would conclude "youtube.com" the address of the browser and it would take me to http://youtube.com. But now need me to 'http://m.youtube.com/?', which seems to be a mobile YouTube Player. And when I try to open a video, here, I get this message:
"Firefox doesn't know how to open this address, because one of the following protocols (rtsp) is not associated with any program or is not allowed in this context".
It started right after the latest version of Firefox downloaded on my computer. Why can't I access the normal version of Windows of YouTube anymore?
This problem has been fixed. I restarted my laptop after cleaning my Firefox cache and remove all cookies. Once my laptop has rebooted, I opened Firefox and now I can access YouTube regular site, not the mobile site.

I have Windows Vista... For a while, whenever I got a new version of Firefox I tried to upgrade Adobe Flash and in any case it crashed so I stopped to do so. I asked this question to you more than once before and rec have never a response. Saved Flash 10.3, have reinstalled, which left and I go kind of happily on my way. Unfortunately, as you know that there are some videos, I can't access with 10.3. So, that being said... Will be the latest version of Adobe Flash work with the latest version of Firefox?
Wow, I can't believe that you have saved this old version of Flash for so long. If Flash player is crushed you probably had to disable hardware acceleration for Flash Player. Try turning off hardware acceleration.
- Go to the Adobe Flash Player help page.
- Right-click on the Flash Player logo on this page.
- Click settings on the shortcut menu. The Adobe Flash Player settings screen opens.
- Click the icon in the lower left of the Adobe Flash Player settings window to open the display panel.
- Remove the enable hardware accelerationcheck box.
- Click close to close the Adobe Flash Player settings window.
- Restart Firefox.
This Flash Player help - display settings page contains more information about the Flash Player hardware acceleration, if you are interested.
With regard to the latest version, Yes. The latest version of Flash works fine on the latest version of Firefox (29.0.1)

I'm using mac os x version 10.7.4 and I try to update Firefox 3.5.5 version to the latest version. The Firefox icon in my doc still persists and leads me to the old version of Firefox. If it's supposed to happen?
Some Firefox problems can be solved by performing a clean reinstall. This means that you remove Firefox program files, and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:
Note: You can print these steps or consult them in another browser.
- Download the latest version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org office and save the installer to your computer.
- Once the download is complete, close all Firefox Windows (click on quit in the file menu or Firefox).
- Remove the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
- Windows:
- C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
- C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox
- Mac: Delete Firefox in the Applications folder.
- Linux: If you have installed Firefox with the distribution-based package manager, you must use the same way to uninstall: see Install Firefox on Linux. If you have downloaded and installed the binary package from the Firefox download page, simply remove the folder firefox in your home directory.
- Windows:
- Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
- Double-click on the downloaded Setup file and go through the steps in the installation wizard.
- Once the wizard is completed, click to open Firefox directly after clicking the Finish button.
Please report back to see if this helped you!

I have a Mac G5 with OS 11.4.11. In order for me to upgrade to the latest version of Firefox, I have to install a new system. If I install a new system, I need to install new programs. Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, GoLive and other CS programs, PowerPoint, QuarkXpress, and many others. I can't afford to upgrade. I like good Firefox but what I am, I'm supposed to do?
Firefox 4 and later requires a Mac with a processor Intel and OS X 10.6 (16 Firefox works on OS X 10.5).
For an unofficial ESR of 17.0 Firefox compatible version (TenFourFox) which works on Mac PowerPC with OS X 10.4.11 or OS X 10.5.8, you can consult:
