WHICH SSD INTERFACE?

I know someone will say how dumb this is, but here goes I have a m17xr2 with victory. 8.1 and a 1 TB hard drive I want to install a ssd but am confused I see some who say sata-sata 1-2 and 3 so that you buy or they all will work with my R2?

THANKS for any help.

RAY

I'm sorry but I don't think that is correct.  Most if not all SSDS are now SATA 3, but it is supposed to be backward compatible with SATA 2 specifications and 1.x.  Example if you buy a HARD SATA 3 drive and plug it into a port SATA 2, the speed of the data on the drive will slow down to match the bus speed of the SATA specification on the motherboard.  Another example is RAM.  People have bought 1600 Mhz RAM and installed in their computers as max at 1333 Mhz.   The RAM is slowing down just to match the appropriate speed available on the motherboard.  Now I will coincide that SSDS can be picky, at least they were earlier.

I have a Pavilion dv7 - 1150ev that I bought in 2008.i think is the time to change and which is better to start than with the addition of a SSD hard drive... I bought an ssd OCZ Agility 3, but it does not recognize my system... so I wanted to know what types of ssd, if any, is compatible with my laptop.  Thanks in advance

Disks SATA III should be used in SATA III computers. Try one of the Corsair 64 GB SATA II drives. Other brands also works, but I prefer Corsair (Corsair Memory also have).

  • Which network interface is linked to a 1000th PowerEdge iDRAC?

I have a PowerEdge server 1000th with a bunch of blades plugged and there also * six * M6220 ethernet passes over it.

I have configured each server so that it has a separate IP address of each switch of the following subnets:

    A1 - Public IPs (111.222.333 *, for example)

    A2 - private IP address (* 192.168.10)

    B1 - private IP address (* 192.168.20)

    B2 - private IP address (* 192.168.30)

    C1 - private IP address (* 192.168.40)

    C2 - private IP address (* 192.168.50)

Each server can ping any other server on any B B six IP addresses (so that they can all 'see' each other on all interfaces of contactors.

In addition, the CMC interface has a public IP address, and it is connected to the A1 (the public IP switch) switch.

Now, when I want to use the interface of the iDRAC (for access, for example, the console to one of the servers), it works * fine * (which means that I can't the user a browser on one blade to access the console of the iDRAC of any * other * blade) if I attribute public IP to the iDRAC interfaces. However, if I assign an address from any of the * private * subnets (because my public IP is rare), I'm not able to reach the iDRAC console.

IDRAC interfaces are only related to A1 or something, or is there a reason why I shouldn't be able to reach them through other switches?

So it seems that the iDRAC facilities use the physical interface on the CMC, not on any of the modules A1 - C2 network. Although this interface was connected to our network public IP (with our A1 network interface), I was able to avoid public IP with our iDRAC interfaces by issuing IP aliases private A1 interfaces on our blades.

East of SSD 2.5 "they sell a rack for the SSD to fit in, but you can easily just use Velcro or plastic necklaces to strapping products ssd heat very little or not at all.

Don't forget that 250 GB is enough that they are not like discs hard you can fill almost.

SSD is necessary during commissioning which translates into 20% free space is required for the rewrite

  • T400 SATA and SSD interface speed

Can someone please give me exact info on T400 to interface SATA it is SATA-I or SATA-II?

Intel SATA controller onboard is ICH9M-E/M and this controller supports SATA-II (3 GB/s) - documentation of Intel, but in all the docs on T400 techniques it is mentioned only SATA-I (1.5Gpbs).

I ask because I intend to replace SSD HARD drive. Normally, it wouldn't be nice to pass around a lot of money for the SSD with 230/180 MB read/write speed and experience after the replacement speed limited to 140/140 MB.

    Model T400 2765-TMD

    Win XP SP3

yesterday, I wrote to the German support and asked if the t400 presents the transfer Cap because I would like to move on to a intel x 25-m with a 250 MB/s read speed and response came already today. They said that the transfer rate is provided entirely / is supported in full. I hope they're right.

  • A module C - DAQ exists which will interface with standard RV - C?

Module C - DAQ exists that if interface with standard RV - C (vehicles recreational CAN)? RV - C seems to be a variant of J1939 according to Wikipedia.

I would use 9861 OR or NI 9862. I'm new on CAN protocol and evaluate some assistance.

I've never used RV - can, but according to Wikipedia, the rate is 250Kbaud, so you'll want high speed CAN peripheral, 9862, you can set baud rate on init of the material.  After installing XNet and cDAQ software, you have a max bus monitor and several examples in the example Finder to read and write raw images.  After that, you'll want to read on the standard to understand how to format and analyze the data.

Also if you have any questions, you can post on the Sub-forum Auto , they can probably answer more specific questions.

  • I use Firefox which if interface perfectly with iGoogle, iGoogle is due to be removed, then what should I do to prepare for this change?

I'm not a sophisticated user - do not use apps (what they are anyway?) I just want to know what to do come November when my Firefox page, well integrated with iGoogle, no longer works? Will I always tabs direct me to gmail? What about Google maps?

App is short for "application." You hear it used more frequently as part of a mobile device, but there are also web applications that run in your browser.

You can find a lot of sites that want to be your new home page. The best choice for you really depends on how you use iGoogle. For example, do you rely on a stock updater? weather? built-in calendar? I have no personal recommendations for you, but if you're looking for a little you will find many review and comparisons without end. For example: three alternatives to your iGoogle Home Page | PCWorld.

Or if you think that you can just use the standard Google home page on https://www.google.com/.

I already made my upgrade of ram using Rams corsair valueselect which worked flawlessly

now I want to spend my additional location of SSD, but which model should I go for?

There are two models that I found at the market

    M.2 850 EVO (SAMSUNG) 80

    M.2 950 PRO NVM (SAMSUNG) 110

EDIT: I did some research on this forum (old posts)

looks like I'll get the 850 m2 EVO, the only question is how do I adapt it as secondary housing is 110 for size? is there an adaptor or support to adapt the SSD 80? because I can't find any SSD 110

    The G9_592 uses 2280 m2 or 22 mm x 80 mm.

Check the specs on the links below.  Examples of 2280 m2 SSD (interface SATA3) in the links below.

Make sure you have the latest version of the BIOS.

To check your current version of the BIOS:

    1. right click on the button to start Windows

    2. left click on run

    3. type msinfo32

    4. click on ok

Edit: Apparently, you can have two locations of m2?  One of them apparently supports m2 (PCIe and SATA gen 3 interface x 2) and apparently the other M.2 express SATA.  When in doubt, go with the SATA m2 (like those in the links I gave you).

Edit2: Make sure that you create a disc of recovery of factory default USB (USB recovery media) before adding SSDS

  • Questions new installation HD SSD for MacBook Pro

I followed the online instructions how to install the SSD for my MacBook Pro. I then rebooted by Mac in recovery mode and formatted the drive in Mac OS extended (journaled). It was a little bit tricky message sometimes giving such as erasure of disk failures, but eventually it worked. I selected to install the OS on this HD. The image of the OS were first shown on OS X Lion, but my current OS is El Capitan. I just figured that he was installing the original operating system provided with the mac. The installation went well but then we he had finished wen timer back to 1 hour, 46 minutes. He made several times and after 6 hours, I decided to leave and start over. The second time after erasing HD and formatting again the OS that came was El Capitan for installation so I continued. This time, the installation has been completed and at the end says "OS could not be installed on my computer, reboot and try again." On the third attempt has received a similar message from the failed to install ' year error occurred during extraction of the files in the package "Essentials.pkg." " »

Anyone has any idea why this doesn't work or suggestions please?

About 2 months ago I reformatted my HD original as installed latest OS El Capitan as the mac has been slow. Does have a report with questions I get on doing the same thing with another HD?

    What model of MacBook Pro?

    Which SSD model?

    You have another Mac?

    Possible causes:

-Incompatibility of your Mac with this specific SSD. Recently, some users have reported what appears to be these incompatibilities

-You damaged the cable flex between the drive and the system board.  It is a common problem and causes intermittent problems initially and if it's even worse the Mac will see is even more disk

-You have an another hardware problem as RAM bad or other component.

    I'd do it

    -Run Apple Hardware Test

Using Apple Hardware Test - Apple Support

-Connect an external drive and install OSX on this disc and boot from this facility and see if you have any problems

-If you have another Mac download a compatible OS x Installer for the Mac App Store and create a USB bootable using device

    http://liondiskmaker.com/

and install OSX on the SSD.

Yes. You can install an SSD.

They type of SSD you need is a SATA SSD.

My preference is 850 EVO from Samsung.  A 256GB SSD with a capacity to do what you need.

    Hello

Which SSD drive you have exactly?
I also think it s a compatibility problem between the HARD disk controller (motherboard) and the current SSD drive.

So you should check if you have the latest firmware of the SSD drive and if it of possible, try another disc SSD of a friend, for example.

By the way: have you tried to load the default settings in the BIOS?

    Manual

See page 47 for hard disk access and replacement. Without the drive of the WSSD, it is just a matter of replacing the HDD with a SSD 1 TB. Cloning a larger to a smaller drive can be a bit complicated so post back if you need some help with that.

I always recommend a Samsung Evo 850 as best consumer SSD. I recommend you get at least a version of 250 gig and preferably a 500.

You don't need to worry about any special BIOS settings or anything just to plug and treat it like any other hard drive. Many people resist the question and read articles that are a few years old at the time when you had to 'create' the system for one SSD. Not really need more.

  • HP Pavilion 15 laptop: SSD compatibility

Hallow, I want to put in place an ssd.

My laptop laptop HP Pavilion 15, product number is K6Y21EA #ACB.

Which ssd is compatible? The size?

It can be done, but not easy. Here is the Manual:

    Manual

See p. 94. You must remove the top cover, but not the motherboard. You can replace the 2.5 inches wide and 9.5 mm thickness standard hard drive with a 2.5 inches wide 7 mm thick SATA SSD. You can install a 1 TB SSD, if your budget allows.

I recommend a Samsung 850 Evo like here:
