• Moniter turns black when you are working on computer

  I have an Acer Extensa 5420 running Vista Home Premium 32 bit and the screen will turn black in itself.  It of like when you press Fn + F6 to turn off the moniter.  However, I don't have to restart the computer to recover the moniter on, I can press Fn + F6 and move the mouse and it turns on.  I updated the driver, which is an ATI Radeon Xpress 1250 and which does not seem to solve the problem.  I ran a diagnostics of memory who reported no errors.  I contacted Acer and they suggested updating the driver that I've had and they said to do a factory restore.  I did not restore the factory, but because I really hate to do that if there is a simple solution to my problem.  I realize there are similar to this positions, but none like well my problem that I could find.  If anyone has any suggestions or responses they would be greatly appreciated.

  3. any recent change in software/hardware on your computer?

  Method 1:

  First of all I suggest you to turn off the graphics card on your computer and check if the problem persists, the problem does not happen, you need to contact your display adapter manufacuturer for the updated drivers or replace the unit.

  You must be logged on as administrator to perform these steps.
     

  a. open the Device Manager by clicking the Start button, click on the Control Panel, clicking system and Maintenance, and then clicking Device Manager. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
  b. in the Device Manager, find the device and then right click on the device name.
  c. Select disables the device.
         
  Method 2:
   
  That the monitor lights up when the mouse moves, I suggest delete all plans power on your computer and check if the problem is resolved.

  I suggest you go the notch of hardware acceleration to none (the Basic acceleration setting) and check if the problem is resolved, follow the steps below:
   
  a. Click Start, type display settings in the search box and then click on display settings in the list programs.
  b. click on the settings tab and then click Advanced.
  c. click the Troubleshooting tab and move the notch of the slider hardware acceleration to none (the Basic acceleration setting).
  d. click OK and then click Close.
  e. If you are prompted to restart the computer, click Yes.

  1. you are able to go to your printer properties and change your settings for printing in black and white only, without having to change it whenever you want to print something. See the steps listed below:

  * Go to your devices and printers

  * Right-click on your 6700 and select Print Options

  * Select your desired default and press Ok

  2. you cannot print without all cartridges installed because even if printing black and white printer will still use the ink contained in the cartridges of color for maintenance tasks.   I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.  When I open a psd file that I've worked on and saved, when I try to resize them or somehow modify the different elements (layers) of the layout, they get a white background inside the for this layer's bounding box.  The different elements (layers) where the extraction from the png files that have transparent backgrounds.  White background does not appear when I initially resize or change diapers.  It happens only when I reopen it the psd file saved to make a few changes to it.  What should I do to stop this from happening?

  You cannot move the location of project PSE 6 and 7. You move this way elements become a sort of semi-smart object on a layer special passthrough. Use the copy/paste or drag it from the palette layers in the png file in the window of the main image of the psd file.

• Recover lost white background on the model file

  I was at work today and opened a Ps document that someone else had created. I don't know what I did (I am a relatively new user of Ps) and I don't know even how I ended up saving it. The document is superimposed on a map of site with logos, text of floor plans. etc. (so, it's too complicated for my limited time and knowledge to be able to re-import the source of the document and re - format the whole thing). When I opened first the document, all floor plans looked normal, but now there is a white background. The black outlines of the rooms are still there, but there is nothing underneath (I see the background gray and white checkerboard between the black outlines). I need to know how to make this white area again. It seems to me that perhaps I've removed a layer... maybe... I do not know...? I can not just use the fill tool to fill in the blanks in the bottom space because (a) the entire shape is not closed, so apply a fill to a single area fills the entire document and (b) I know that's not the right way to do... I'm trying to get it back to the way it is supposed to be, not only to make it look right because others in the work could still use the electronic file. Help, please!

  Thanks for your response! Someone else has replied (I posted the question twice) and told to make a new layer filled with white. I did and then my new layer behind the site rendering, and that did the trick!

  I received a file where the upper layer has a white background with a black line on her drawing. It seems completely opaque, however, there are layers below with color and white acts as if she's not here and it is completely transparent.

  I know a number of ways to get the white on this layer transparent, but I don't know how they do this to make it appear as if white is NOT transparent. I see no mask or a blending mode or anything like that. And it works beautifully. I would really like to recreate, but they did this. In the zip file is a PSD small cropping of the file so that you can see what I mean if you open it and maybe until you see a kind of treatment on this layer that I'm not.
