  • Problem starting. Rectangle white bars appear.

This problem started to happen after a clean Windows XP installed on my C: drive formatted.

Whenever I turn on my PC, it displays the BIOS Intel/HP as usual, then the black screen for about 15 seconds.

Then the white rectangular bars appear on the bottom of my screen. These bars fill up like a progress bar and it take about 2 minutes.

Then it shows the loading of the operating system Windows XP and resumes the boot upward as usual, no problems later.

My question is how can I get rid of this progress bar white on startup, to save 2 minutes of start time.

    I tried the following:

Running the console to repair Windows XP and running CHKDSK/r

    -No problems have been found.

Repair Windows XP files with disk.

He seemed to have solved this problem myself.

After approximately 67 resets, the problem seems to correct itself.

But later, I got the problem again.

If I booted up just my computer with the Windows XP Recovery disk,

I chose to format the drive fast, before you install Windows XP on the partition, and it worked.

I have more white bars at the start up.

  • with the auto more recent updated version of firefox now there is a white bar that appears when you move your mouse over this area. I want that gone, how?

When you move your mouse below the address bar opens a white bar, making it so you can't click on buttons or links on sites, like buttons connection for example. also when using the full screen, you can no more mouse on the tabs at the top of the screen, only this white bar appears. This prtty much kills its use full screen for me. Thus, this white popup bar and mode full screen with the white bar without tabs firefox has pretty much ruined it for me. in any case to fix it would be great.

  • White loading bar appears after the splash screen. TAKES FOREVER TO FILL!

I recently formatted my windows xp because it was slowing down. I do this once a year and its good because my newly formatted computer takes 30 sec or less to load. However this time I formatted, after the screen intel and BIOS, a black scren appears for 1 minute, then an alternating black and white bar appears at the bottom. no text, nothing. This bar fills up until halfway, then the "xp" logo appears and the computer loads normally. the problem is that the loading bar takes 7 min + join to halfway. so my newly formatted computer load in 8-9 minutes rather than 30 seconds like its supposed to!

I tried to reformat, reinstall xp, but the same thing is happening: s
Once the computer loads however, everything works fine. It's just takes TOO long!

    Hi MontyPanesar,

Thanks for posting. Please, try the following.

    1. place your Windows XP installation CD and start to her...
    2. Press any button to start the Windows installation (don't worry... we do not actually use the installer at this point)
    3. wait a few moments for the installation program starts, when you see repair an installation of Windows XP using the Recovery Console, and then press the R key
    4. wait until you see this screen, enter the number of your master installation. (Typically 1 to C:\Windows)
    5. press ENTER.
    6. If you are prompted to do so, enter your administrator password. If you don't have one, leave the field blank and press to enter.
    7. from the command prompt, type: chkdsk/r (note the space between chkdsk and / r)
    Allow it to complete undisturbed.
    8. remove the disc, then restart.

  • Weird with the blue circle bar appeared above the tabs

HI - last night, shortly after (not sure how long exactly) after installing Silverlight - direct on the preferred video amazon site, a strange white bar with a blue circle ringed appeared above my tabs in the browser. I do not think that it appeared directly after the installation of Silverlight, but some time later - during which I was on and off my computer - it 'appeared '...

    Here is a picture:

And a mode of incognito, that shows something, but I do not know what...

I tried to disable the silverlight plug - nothing; I tried to play around with the Settings toolbar - nothing; then I restarted with modules disabled (in the Help menu) and it disappeared. But then when I restared in normal mode - it was always there... I need to reset (which probably do disappear, but I want to know what caused it)? Can I have some sort of bug? I'd be worried, virus (maybe it is excessive; I'm on a mac, but...)?

    Thanks for any help

I fell on this particular issue so the other day. It turned out not to be any of my extensions the cause, but instead, it was a theme called "Default Mod" (which was updated to version 28 February 27). I've downgraded to version 27.1 and the blue circle went.

EDIT: Looking at your screenshot, it seems that use you the default theme Mod as well, so it's most likely the problem.

  • Tecra A9 back to Hibernation - no progress bar appears

    Tecra A9 XP Professional.
Until a few months ago, hibernation worked as expected, and then one day (possibly after a Windows Update) to the return of Hibernate instead of display the BACK/ASCII based progress bar it just showed a blank screen until the return is completed when the screen suddenly what is expected after a back and all is well. i.e. hibernation was a success.
The white screen is diosplayed for a few seconds and can lead to errors such as pressing the power button which of course translates a stop down.

I recently discovered that if I press F8 during the period that the progress bar is expected and follow with an ENTRY to continue returning from hibernation, then the prgress bar appears and shows the expected progress as usual followed by the windows screen.

Earlier this evening a white line appeared on my laptop. Down on the right side from top to bottom, is located at the top of any open window and task/tool downstairs bar. Also, the mouse pointer disappears behind it. I made a stop and restart, the line back to the Welcome screen, I also rolled back the driver display and re-installed the last updated and all this has done is to remover my desktop image and leaves me with a black background. The only thing I have not tried is to connect to an external monitor.

    3 GB Ram

Someone at - he hints or tips?

    Cheers in advance

    Chris

    Hi Chris,

    > The only thing I have not tried is to connect to an external monitor.
But in my opinion, you should try this. So you can identify it of a malfunctioning of the internal display or mother/graphics card.
    Check this box!

In my opinion, it seems to be a spurious material and so contact the nearest authorized service provider to get rid of this.

  • White bars on the right of Web sites in muse on ipad.

    Hello

I am trying to establish why there are white bars on the right side of my website built in muse on an iPad? They are designed as a site of office without a specific design of Tablet, but I do not understand why this white bar should appear on the ipad and not on a laptop? Anyone have any ideas?

For example, here are two Web sites.

    www.sedaogfoods.co.UK

    www.filleighalpacas.co.UK

You will need to open them on your desktop, but also an ipad to see what I mean.

    Thank you

    Hi Richard,

There is an empty block on the site next to the contact tab. Please refer to the screenshot:

  • White bar deleting everything on Adobe products

I have Photoshop Elements on my Mac laptop for about three years. Last week, a small white horizontal bar has popped up in the bottom of my screen. After the white bar is displayed, even if I click the X and close out, everything I click on Photoshop is removed. It is therefore impossible to type any text. The white bar is also on Adobe Reader and it does not appear anywhere else on my laptop, so I am confident that it is a problem for Adobe. Any ideas what this is and how I can get rid of him?

Looks a bit like the dictation of MacOS 'characteristic' which causes problems in many programs, until it is turned off.

Your system may have done something after the update.  It was just after the installation?

-J' noticed when I did a check of the complete material on my system that time was incorrect (quoted in 30 minutes - took 90 minutes) and that most of the time the activity bar wasn't moving - then gave the impression he was frozen.

Have your support I have tried calling Apple or set up a call from them - their updates are not transparent to the users - and what I've read here seem to require an IT professional to deal with.

  • When the page opens, the scroll bar appears only if I move to bottom of page with the mouse

It started last week with Firefox 5 and continues with the upgrade to Firefox 6. Each new page that opens in Firefox does not display a scroll bar. By entering the lower right of the page with the mouse and move the mouse to the right, the scroll bar appears and is usable. This "correction" is required on each new page.

This condition looks similar to the condition met when Firefox 5 was introduced. The fix was to open appearances in tools then choose the default setting. This patch doesn't work anymore.

How can I fix?

Go to your Mozilla Tools menu and click on Addons. Then click on the tab 'extensions'. There is an extension called Searchbar 1.2 by zugo and this is the cause of the problem. I got it download a few nonsense xvid to watch an episode of Hung in line.
