Problem starting. Rectangle white bars appear.

This problem started to happen after a clean Windows XP installed on my C: drive formatted.

Whenever I turn on my PC, it displays the BIOS Intel/HP as usual, then the black screen for about 15 seconds.

Then the white rectangular bars appear on the bottom of my screen. These bars fill up like a progress bar and it take about 2 minutes.

Then it shows the loading of the operating system Windows XP and resumes the boot upward as usual, no problems later.

My question is how can I get rid of this progress bar white on startup, to save 2 minutes of start time.

I tried the following:

Running the console to repair Windows XP and running CHKDSK/r

-No problems have been found.

Repair Windows XP files with disk.

He seemed to have solved this problem myself.

After approximately 67 resets, the problem seems to correct itself.

But later, I got the problem again.

If I booted up just my computer with the Windows XP Recovery disk,

I chose to format the drive fast, before you install Windows XP on the partition, and it worked.

I have more white bars at the start up.

    Hello

Looking for assistance here, if anyone can help, I have a laptop LG R410, age two months running windows vista basic 32-bit.

Laptop used to start and rest the scroll bar loading.  Tried through 'F8' menu to start in "Safe Mode", but wont even boot into Safe Mode, is the last driver loaded:

    Windows system32 drivers crcdisk.sys

Also, tried "last good configuration" but nothing is.

Try to repair windows with the repair disk. but no joy once again, by looking at the details of the diagnosis and repair, it shows repair stalled when the event log diagnostic testing.  It will not accomplish this test, even after leaving during the night.

Also tried to go back to a restore point, but because it is new, it doesn't show any restore points that were to restore the system back.

No backup available or go to restore.

Memory Diagnostic test has been successful.

  • White loading bar appears after the splash screen. TAKES FOREVER TO FILL!

I recently formatted my windows xp because it was slowing down. I do this once a year and its good because my newly formatted computer takes 30 sec or less to load. However this time I formatted, after the screen intel and BIOS, a black scren appears for 1 minute, then an alternating black and white bar appears at the bottom. no text, nothing. This bar fills up until halfway, then the "xp" logo appears and the computer loads normally. the problem is that the loading bar takes 7 min + join to halfway. so my newly formatted computer load in 8-9 minutes rather than 30 seconds like its supposed to!

I tried to reformat, reinstall xp, but the same thing is happening: s
Once the computer loads however, everything works fine. It's just takes TOO long!

    Hi MontyPanesar,

Thanks for posting. Please, try the following.

    1. place your Windows XP installation CD and start to her...
    2. Press any button to start the Windows installation (don't worry... we do not actually use the installer at this point)
    3. wait a few moments for the installation program starts, when you see repair an installation of Windows XP using the Recovery Console, and then press the R key
    4. wait until you see this screen, enter the number of your master installation. (Typically 1 to C:\Windows)
    5. press ENTER.
    6. If you are prompted to do so, enter your administrator password. If you don't have one, leave the field blank and press to enter.
    7. from the command prompt, type: chkdsk/r (note the space between chkdsk and / r)
    Allow it to complete undisturbed.
    8. remove the disc, then restart.

  • with the auto more recent updated version of firefox now there is a white bar that appears when you move your mouse over this area. I want that gone, how?

When you move your mouse below the address bar opens a white bar, making it so you can't click on buttons or links on sites, like buttons connection for example. also when using the full screen, you can no more mouse on the tabs at the top of the screen, only this white bar appears. This prtty much kills its use full screen for me. Thus, this white popup bar and mode full screen with the white bar without tabs firefox has pretty much ruined it for me. in any case to fix it would be great.

    Launch Firefox in Mode safe

    While you are in safe mode;

Firefox Options > advanced > General.

Find and stop using hardware acceleration.

  • Weird with the blue circle bar appeared above the tabs

HI - last night, shortly after (not sure how long exactly) after installing Silverlight - direct on the preferred video amazon site, a strange white bar with a blue circle ringed appeared above my tabs in the browser. I do not think that it appeared directly after the installation of Silverlight, but some time later - during which I was on and off my computer - it 'appeared '...

    Here is a picture:
    http://imgur.com/WezuIoV

And a mode of incognito, that shows something, but I do not know what...
    http://imgur.com/MlhJKbt

I tried to disable the silverlight plug - nothing; I tried to play around with the Settings toolbar - nothing; then I restarted with modules disabled (in the Help menu) and it disappeared. But then when I restared in normal mode - it was always there... I need to reset (which probably do disappear, but I want to know what caused it)? Can I have some sort of bug? I'd be worried, virus (maybe it is excessive; I'm on a mac, but...)?

    Thanks for any help

I fell on this particular issue so the other day. It turned out not to be any of my extensions the cause, but instead, it was a theme called "Default Mod" (which was updated to version 28 February 27). I've downgraded to version 27.1 and the blue circle went.

EDIT: Looking at your screenshot, it seems that use you the default theme Mod as well, so it's most likely the problem.

  • My iPad has been slow and unstable. What can I do if this is caused by a virus from the Internet because that is what I suspect. The problem started after a message like "scripts to run.

My iPad has been slow and unstable - it actually seems to be hung when I use it. Once I put it, a blue line with four faces (which forms a rectangle or square) appears on the display and moves as he tries to anticipate my next actions or touch on the scree. All started about four days ago while I was downloading of articles in google scholar. A message that reflects something as "run scripts" or "scripts to run" appeared just before the problem started. Please advise on what I can do.

Try resetting your device. This will not erase your data stored on that device.

    • Press and hold the sleep/wake button
    • Press and hold the Home button
    • Press and hold both buttons until the display turns off and on again with the Apple logo on the subject.

Alternatively, you can go to settings - general - reset - Reset all settings

If that doesn't work, restore your device to factory settings. Please note that this will delete the data on your device.

Take a look this Apple Support article: use iTunes to restore the iPhone, iPad or iPod to factory settings - Apple Support.

  • 10.11.4 boot problems - black and white death

Hi people, write here after a weekend of failed attempts to get my iMac 27 "2009 to recover.  I see there are many good suggestions out there on this general problem and I am hoping someone can give some specific advice, as I am now out of options.

The problem started when I first noticed the screen was all black, but the cursor to move.  I think the problem started 20 or March 21 since the last backup Time Machine was to the 20th.  I had seen this occasionally over the years and so just turned off and restarted.  This time it got stuck on the white screen with the Apple logo and progress bar at halfway.  Finally reading the forum that I realized that I could actually blind the connection by pressing the right keys and hard drive noises I could say it was starting up my apps.  But the screen remains blank, just the cursor moved.  I even tried to remote into my Macbook but that just brought to the top of the black screen too!

That's so the State of the rest across machine try the following:

    1. Tried to reinstall the OS 10.11.4, it installed OK, but on reboot I have come back to the white screen of death.
    2. Tried Time Machine backup recovery, twice, first go to the last point of restoration, then among a few days earlier which was 10.11.3
    3. Wiped my Bootcamp partition and installed 10.11.4, showed the first home screen, and then it would freeze.  I could access it from secure boot, but could never get the boot on a regular basis at work, the screen remains white death.
    4. Secure boot works on both partitions, but which is as far as I can get it.  Start, I tried the suggestion of delete some items in the Library/Extensions folder, but that did not help.
    5. I also tried to remove the power cable for a minute and restart.  And the thing with now the key Alt Cmd (?) and P and W to erase the memory.  But no help.
    6. I tried to run the diagnostics of material that came on the boot floppies, CD Rom drive would turn a few times, but would not read the disc for some reason any.

I think that's it, maybe I tried a few other permutations, but it has been a long weekend, and it's all beginning to fade now.

Since all the restorations did not work it feels like it may be a hardware problem, but it's so consistent in where it fails / stalls on startup and safe mode works OK, it always makes me think that it may be a software.  There is a flash on the right screen to where it crashes on the bar, progress which makes me wonder if this might be the card or display driver problem, but really guess right now.  One last thing that I might have to try is a full erase of all partitions and create a USB stick to boot from.  But I am quite doubtful that it works in light of all other alternatives, I tried.

Additional ideas would be very appreciated, I know that I had the machine for a long time and many would say it is time to upgrade, but I'm not quire ready for this yet, it really worked great, just a little slow on the restart of the (who fortunately have been rare so far!)

  • U330 white bar flashing on screen

I had problems recently where a white bar on my computer screen flashes u330 laptop. The bar is all the way up the screen and about 1.5 inches wide. It flashes quickly and somewhat at random, according to what you are working on. This problem started occurring in the past few weeks. At first, it seemed related to streaming video online, especially when the video wasn't in the 'front' of all open windows, but it seems to have got slightly worse. It seems also occur frequently when just on the free desktop without windows or when switching between windows.

A quick google search revealed that this problem is specific to the u330 laptop (http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-IE/vistaappearance/thread/942f6091-a008-4fca-b738-e787...)

As several other lenovo u330 of users have encountered this same problem recently, I think that it is probably a problem of software potentially related to video or graphics cards. Any ideas or suggestions?

  • Black BlackBerry unexpected Z30 bar appearing on the screen.

I don't know when this started to happen, but every time I tried to fly in the main menu applications by running the tip of my finger on the bottom of the screen, a black bar appears which is highlighted in red on the first two print screens. It then continues into the hub, as shown in the second screenshot. He rides on the messages and it irritates me. Also the menu of configuration on the third screen, the background is black somehow. When I took the screenshot, it appeared dark grey which it should have been. I used paint to paint it black because that's how he made his appearance on my mobile now. I did two times factory reset and it changed nothing. I don't know if it was the BlackBerry virtual expertise which trigged this problem, I have no idea. Help, please. I tried to solve this problem for days.

    Thank you for your time!

This black bar appears as well to me when I touch my finger on the selection of tabs at the bottom bar that highlighted you in your first two screenshots.  That's how it is supposed to look when you use the bar to switch between the tabs/asset management/hub.

Do you mean that it appears all the time now?  He disappears for me as soon as I select which tab of the Ribbon, I want and take my finger.

In fact on the 2nd screenshot it looks like it is stuck on.  When I select it on my phone there is a similar to the 1 icon Mail icon in your 1st SS.  This bundle are you running?  I'll see if I can reproduce this with the same version.

  • I have problem starting (windows 7) without black screen

I installed windows 7 on my laptop (which supports windows 7), 2 years ago. 1 year, I installed a game on that laptop, my laptop was ok. A few months ago, I opened my computer and this happened to me: (check the picture in the link. All my shortcuts in my home page are white, sometimes they still do not appear, the windows key is white, I can't open, install any programs, unless I run it in safe mode, or make the system restore). I start in safe mode, I deleted the game and my laptop had no problems starting. I opened my computer 3 days ago, he had the same problem again and this time, my shortcuts are not yet available in my home page. If I do the system restore, it will be ok, but when I disable it, it will happen the same problem. I tried startup repair, but it cannot detect all problems.

I had 2, the two 90 GB HDD, 1 is empty, the other is half empty (45 GB), my RAM is 4 GB, it uses only 3 GB, recently spent 2 to 4 GB RAM.
Is there a way get fix this, without a format?
    http://ImageShack.us/photo/my-images/16/90522409.PNG/

I did not install Kaspersky Anti-virus. TDDSKiller is just a small Kaspersky utility designed to search for infections of rootkit that is the worst piece of infection right now. Your computer might be infected with one.

(In addition, repeat steps 2) and 3).
If they don't work, then perform a new installation of your windows.
    Good luck!

  • White bar deleting everything on Adobe products

I have Photoshop Elements on my Mac laptop for about three years. Last week, a small white horizontal bar has popped up in the bottom of my screen. After the white bar is displayed, even if I click the X and close out, everything I click on Photoshop is removed. It is therefore impossible to type any text. The white bar is also on Adobe Reader and it does not appear anywhere else on my laptop, so I am confident that it is a problem for Adobe. Any ideas what this is and how I can get rid of him?
