• Navigate to the URL issues Mac to PC

  Hi, I am a beginner in AS 3.0 coding.  But I had an embarrassing problem.  I have Flash CS4 running on an Intel based Mac.  When I add the following code to redirect users to a website on the click of a button:

  I am able to access the url correctly.

  When I test this file on my PC I can't the link to work.  In fact nothing happens at all.  No error messages no. impossible to load the file, she acts just like the button is not yet coded.

  I tried many variations of code assigning variables differently, do not use the string var etc. without success on the PC.

  I suspect that the problem lies in the fact that my Mac running the .swf into Flash Player as a stand alone while my PC is running the .swf via the browser.

  Any suggestion would be appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

  (and this is the solution to your problem.  you just failed (at the beginning) to realize that your flash player is not in the zone of confidence).

  I use RoboHelp 7 (7.02.001) to create WebHelp.
  
  In the Table of contents, I created a page with a link to a folder on one of our file servers.
  However, the folder has spaces in its path.
  No problem, I can open the link in the preview in RoboHelp.
  
  When I generate WebHelp output and open the site in IE7, a warning is displayed indicating a script or ActiveX control wants to be executed. If I ignore this message and press the page in my table of contents (navigation), the file is opened as planned.
  If I accept the script to execute later, then try to follow the link to the file, an error indicating that the file is not found. What I see is that the space is no more replaced by % 20, but it now reads % 2520.
  Further investigation has learned that if I replace any occurences of 20% in whxdata\whtdata0.xml to a space, I can follow the link successfully in both cases (with or without the active script).
  Therefore, it is of a workaround, but I'm looking for resolution.
  
  Someone at - it a good idea?
  
  (Note that the link does not open the target in any case when you open the site in Firefox 2).

• I need the URL for the default home page so I can put it in my homepage protection, because all I get when I open the browser's "about"white."

  I'm going to hell to get just the URL for the browser/Firefox start page. I just did a recovery image factory and all I get after downloading and installing the Firefox browser a tab that says 'about white." I don't get the URL in the address bar so that I can put this URL in my homepage of protection (I use Advanced System Care ultimate). Once I get this URL and place it in the area of protection of homepage of my security software, I'll be ready to go, because I want to use Firefox as my default browser. I searched the frequently asked questions and asked the question in every way that I know, in English, and there seems to be no one there who can tell me just the URL of the start page. While I do not understand why it is so hard to get, I certainly need and would be grateful for a solution to this problem.

  It is actually called Subject: Home , but the only way to know would be if you were viewing the page and called to the top of the Page Info dialog... who, for future reference you can get using one of these methods:

  • Right click on a box empty page and select View Page Info
  • (menu bar) Tools > Page Info
  • Click on the globe or padlock icon in the address bar > more information

  I've uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox 64-bit on my Windows 7 laptop. After installing LastPass I get that white space in the search on the left. I didn't know if anyone has had a similar problem. Thanks for your time guys.

• Why is there a space to the left of the URL in the navigation bar?

  I use Firefox 24.0 (current version) on Windows 8. There is an excessive amount of whitespace to the left of the url. Why is that? Is there a way to justify the url to the left? I'll post a screenshot below.

  In another thread, this was linked to disable that add-on sometimes uses this space on the address bar. I don't remember that one, or if there is one solution other than he reactivation.

  the first troubleshooting step, you can take is to start firefox in safe mode and see if the problem is still occurring. otherwise it's probably a faulty extension - then you would have to disable them, restart firefox, and re-enable one by one (reboot may be needed again) to find out which one is the cause - the cause please report back afterwards, so that other users with the same issue can find a quick solution.

  Despite the addition of icons by "customize toolbars", that show, during the customization, several of the addition of icons disappear when 'done '. I removed the container from the research, but it made no difference.   Have solved! Or, at least, the problem. Whenever the bookmark icon is included it seems to affect the behavior of other icons as well as do not display itself (the bookmark icon). By not including not not the bookmark icon all right.

  I tried the 10px width max and min of hand and side of a median, but reset if max and min are the same value. Performed as expected in both cases. Besides the values min made no difference. Activate the 8 modules and plug-ins 19. All work normally.

  Back to normal by using the Favorites menu when I want to bookmark a page.

  There may be some problems that repair tools are not picking up. It may be preferable to a repair facility. This can help with any corruption of the registry, which could happen by the deletion of these programs. http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/917964

  Keep in mind when running all that modifies the system it is always a good idea to have your data and backup programs (it's general advice for any system its always good to have a backup in case of possible failure of material/virus)

  I use 11.1.2.1 and recently the IP addresses of the servers have changed. Because of this schedule and the workspace URL does not work, although EE and shared services work. If I run the URL of space working everything freezes (EAS and shared services) and I have to stop/start services.

• Muse white space after the body, but before the page footer

  I just changed with almost a complete rewrite of my site and published it in http://www.lowerphotography.com and all is well except for the HOME page. The change was to take advantage of the new sensitive design which is very neat. Before the change of the HOME page was fine. I watched other observations of white space and made sure everything looked good... not hidden things that I could find. The master page works on all pages of the site. But the HOME page after the body and before the footer has this big white/background space after footer. I don't think it's in the master page as it works for all pages I can say. The homepage has texts and pictures on it and a link to another site. But nothing shows that the cause for me. With all the time I've spent on this site a little "bug" which is just a pain trying to get the HOME page to look really good. Suggestions please?
