  It s hard to tell if it s graphic card issue or display problem.
  But if the display has been replaced a month ago, then I would recommend contacting the guys again. I mean the part could be faulty again and my knowledge, replaced parts are covered by warranty for a short time then perhaps that the warranty would cover it once again if the display is faulty

  So I was with my mac, all normal until one day it freezes and I m to force close.

  Unfortunately when I tried to turn it back on, it's just stuck in the white screen of death. Most of the time, is just white screen without logo or an image folder or anything like that.

  I know that my computer is alive because sometimes (not often), the apple logo and I m able to try reinstalling OS X (but then it crashes again), but most of the time is just a white screen. I tried most of the entries and they don't do the trick (Cmmd + R, shift, etc.) Most of them Don t work and Don t anything, except for the PRAM zapping entry that is Cmmd + Option + R + P, but after resetting, it still shows just the white of the screen most of the time.)

  If you can get to single user. Order S at startup, you can use the command fsck - fy, then click on enter.   SYMPTOMS:

• iMac 8.1 White Screen of Death

  Before I launch into history, here are some of the relevant features of my computer. I have an iMac 8.1 (2008 model) with a processor clocked at 2.66 DC2, 2 GB of RAM and a hard disk of 1 TB with three partitions. The main (about 640 GB) ran 10.11, the second a (32) snow leopard and the rest it has been implemented with Windows 7. This configuration worked well enough (if a little cludgily) for some time, but the other day, things came to a head.

  It has a bit of history history, please bear with me.

  Monday, after the computer has been awkwardly slow with no application, I thought to reinstall El Capitan to see if that would help. After the installation failed, I ran disk utility on the main partition to see what he would say. After a brief inspection, he said that it was a problem he couldn't solve, recommended making sure that my data has been backed up and clear. The Snow Leopard partition, however, seemed fine.   If you have the original install disc provided with the computer, run Apple Hardware Test Mode Extended 2 - 3 times back to back.   Since it is under warranty I opened the box to look for a jumper to reset, no luck. Also, no sign of battery backup to perform to get first start start. The design is beautifully put together with the help of SMD components and connectors firmly waiting. I disconnected a Samsung 1 TB Sata HD, then reconnected when he put it back together. He turned again on same buthe WSoD.

  But if you are not able to get the system configuration, you will not be able to restore the settings so that this option is useless in your case

  Looks like its common 1 TB SATA 3.5 HDD you could connect it to a USB port using a controller USB-to-SATA it is maybe you would help to gain access to files on the HARD drive otherwise I guess the HARD drive died.

  I recently bought a used Y580. He had 3 USB ports (USB 3.0 I guess) does not screen had stopped coming on or even turning the power on, and an external monitor would work on this subject.   PROBLEM SOLVED

  It turns out that the new screen, I bought was not good. I went back to my original screen, which was good, and of course, the screen now works, I decided.

  NOTE: the original monitor problem does have to do with the monitor cable not being plugged into the motherboard sure enough, that's why it would work briefly, then suddenly the screen turns off, as if she had no power.
