  I remember correctly, some install I worked on the old Linux without compat-libstdc ++ that I had to install to do the work of psadmin.
  There are a couple of tune kernel parameters or avoid some bugs on some version of PT. But the agreement is not necessarily a requirement.
  Any additional requirement, the matrix certification on My Oracle Support has mentioned, and as far as I know, there is nothing special for the configuration that you are talking about.
  As far as I am concerned, there is really no such requirement and it is confirmed by the Peoplesoft LMOS model, which is the bare minimum to run a Peoplesoft environment and there is not much RPM out there.

As for moving from Windows to Linux, Oracle Forms is practically independent of the platform, because almost all the major operating systems are supported server.   I know when overheat processors, they tend to warn you in this way.

  I highly doubt that is the question, but I would check to make sure that your hardware is properly installed and recognized by Ubuntu.

  Personally, I use Fedora and I've never heard or experienced this problem. You may want to try installing another free distro (openSUSE, Fedora, etc.) to see if it happens again.

• Problems using dbms_transfer_file - Solaris for Linux

  We are moving several TB of Solaris to Linux.

  Downtime should be minimal - so we explored Doc-ID 1389592.1 .  It seemed to be just to the top of our road.  Copy of ASM ASM auto-convertis Endian... solves a lot of problems.

  We are able to transfer files at least 4096 MB (4 GB to be exact) with no problems.  4097 MB the work is suspended or said a file already exists (and the file does not exist in the destination - we confirmed that in the ASM destination).

  So we tested will Solaris Solaris and things work fine, but if it's an option we would use Data Guard.  So it was just a confirmation that 8GB is OK.

  We have opened a file, but I was wondering if someone sees this problem as well.  If so, what has been a solution.

  That's ok. I found error messages that are similar to article ID 1151183.1. Check if the Siebel server starts after a reconfiguration of the siebel server.

  You can also attach your siebns.dat to review file if you wish. It should be available under the u01/app/oracle/siebel/8.2.2.0.0/ses/gtwysrvr/sys directory.

• Problem of 5.7.1 and redhat VCM

  I am faced with a particular problem in regards the VCM 5.7.1 and Redhat, hope to get some expert lights here.

  My VCM is unable to install the agent in my Redhat environment, as such, I am unable to connect the Redhat environment.

  My questions are:

  (1) when I added the Redhat as a machine of license, it forces me to add in a domain name, if I don't add it, I won't be able to add this redhat as a license machine machine. Please see attached screenshot.

  (2) referring to question 1, will it affect the installation of the agent? If Yes, how I work around, or rather, to remove the domain name?

  (3) if the answer to the above is that the domain name is not serious, then what should I do to ensure that the installation of the agent is successful, thank you.

  My environment:

  VCM 5.7.1

  Installed on the 2012 server and SQL 2012

  The Redhat and the VCM is located on the same VLAN and subnet, so there is no firewall between the two.

  1 Windows Server 2012 is not supported for VCM plant 5.7.1.

  2. we cannot add the Unix Machines in VCM unless we indicate the Domian name. (any domian name would work well in UNIX. You can specify another one. (point) in this area.

  3. how you try to manually install the Agent / automated (VCM UI)... ?  If the interface user, then SSH must be enabled on the xinetd/daemon process and the target machine must be running.

  4 root can also be used to install the Agent

  5 agent will communicate through Port # 26542 VCM. Just an info.

  under VMware 2.0.0 WinServber 2003, I tried to install SuSE Linux Enterprise Server as a guest operating system. But she didn't in this sense, I'm not able to read the contents of the console remotely.

  Anyone who has managed to install WLS 10.3.2 to deploy ADF 11.1.1.2 applications on Redhat 5 64 bit?
  
  I did it with WLS 10.3.1 and it did not work well use Sun JDK 1.6_16 64-bit.

  I use the Sun jdk even than the one that I use and that worked well with the 10.3.1 Configuration.
  
  Field 1A was created with config.sh
  2/WLS server started avec./startWeblogic.sh (from Middleware_home/user_projects/domains/mydomain/bin) and the node Manager launched (from de./startNodeManager.sh in the middleware_home/WLS1032home/server/bin).
  3 / a new machine with other guy was created
  4 / a new server has been created and associated with the new machine
  5 / JRF model has been applied to the server using Enterprise console manager
  
  When I try to start the new Weblogic console server or Enterprise Manager console, I get an OutofMemory error: PermGen space in the server log output.
  
  I tried to restart weblogic domain with the new memory settings by defining them in the file setDomainEnv.sh for the domain (in Middleware_home/user_projects/domains/mydomain/bin), but nothing helped.
  
  Someone at - he succeeded with own memory settings?

  It seems that the settings are not applied correctly... U confirmed that the settings are applied by looking at the server OF THE file/server Log...

  I use Sun. JDK 1.6_16. If you get this error for server... and you start your managed server from AdminConsole... using nodemenager, then try the following options as well...

  Option - 1).

  Connect to AdminConsole--> environments-. Servers---> YourManagedServer---> Configuration (TAB)---> ServerStart (sub-tab)---> Arguments: (TextArea)

  Please add your settings here - Xmx1536m-Xms1536m - XX: MaxPermSize = 512 m

  ----------------

  Option - 2).
  If before also has not work then please try to add the 2 following in the file 'nodemanager.properties '.

  StartScriptName = startWebLogic.sh
  StartScriptEnabled = true

  Then try to start your managed server.

• problem with partial update on linux

  When a partial update is executed every time, the siz of the process dgaph in memory increases about 200 MB. Initially when just ran the update of the base, the siz of the dgraph was about 1 GB, but after a few partial updates the memory went up to 2.5 GB dgraph. However we have not inserted/updated during the partial run, each updates were in 50 records. If the dgraph is restarted, then the siz of the process boils down to 1 GB. Also after the partial update, query response time is also get degraded.
  
  Please let me know someone has encountered this problem and also the solution that you can recommend.
