Who or what determines the available optional updates?

More updates W7 I see not really a problem with - MSE, office and even Skype (being a Microsoft 'product') - but other than that I'm a bit more curious. For example, as far as devices go, I have a modern Logitech keyboard and headphones, and a Razer mouse... still Windows Update that bothers me with a Razer MISTLETOE essential (and relatively useless)... .with no mention of that is provided by Logitech (which I know exists and is somewhat more critical)...?

It isn't really a problem, because I can easily find what I need otherwise ignore (hide) anything else offered by Windows Update, and how to make the cut of the Razer, but Logitech does not work? Is there an easy way to rant/rave/suggest whatever it is related to the functionality of Windows to Microsoft Update?

Math + Magic Pro works well with CS4, but need of equations to modify in the window of their plugin, and because they are EPS format. The file size and the ability to work with a digital player disappeared.

Not exactly the kerning, but you can move blocks wherever you want with the arrow keys. And you can change the spacing between the elements by changing the spacer between them. There are also defects of spacing.

Batch edit can be something again. I use 6.0, and I see that the most recent version is 6.5.

I had problems with files EPS of Mathtype, which may include a preview, but do not include fonts. So, I opened each equation of the word with my default settings (they automatically change the default fonts, spacing, size, etc.), copy, paste in Illustrator and save as have. So when I'm finished, my equations are always vector (if that's what you mean by text).

Microsoft has chosen to implement a version of Mathtype dumbed-down as the editor of Word equations for many years. So for me at least, long term has already been decided. There are several things wrong with Mathtype, but given the choice between the use of Mathtype to * convert * equations and using InMath or mathemagiques to * recreate * equations, I'll take Mathtype, warts and all.

I just have an attached style sheet and which shows alphabetically in the drop-down list. Maybe, if you have more than one style sheet, the styles appear in the load order of the leaves and alphabetically within each worksheet.

In all my other IDEs (Visual Studio, WDSCi), I used a font of ProggyClean-Slashed-Zero-Bold-Punctuation-monospaced (http://www.proggyfonts.com/index.php?menu=download) who made my life a little bit more easy. But in LabWindows/CVI 9 I don't only have right to choose from a limited list of fonts. How can I get my police Proggy? Alternatively, a better question, what determines which fonts are listed in this selection?

I thought about it!

I maintain programs written to the Japan that must be changed for our US systems. Therefore, I usually use Japanese Windows XP with my language of non-Unicode default value system. Japanese text in the comments in the code source appear in the case, as the boxes.

When I'm in Japanese mode, I have only a dozen monospaced fonts available. But earlier, I switched to English and have a * ton *, including my favorite Proggy! But the solution is not good... I * have * to run in Japanese mode to do my job.

I'd love to beta test a fix for this! There must be some language check is against policies, and regardless of who does not openly support the current language of the system must be excluded from the plan. Just a guess.

Any ideas on how I can get this works when I switch in Japanese fashion? I'll try to now and we hope it stays...

Cannot install the available WIndows updates

I have the same 4 optional windows updates available almost every other day. When I try to install them, they do not install. But when I restart my computer that they do not appear in the 'available' but sometimes appear as 'failure' or 'successful '? What does that mean? Thank you!

So, what I finally ended up doing, is that I found a link in support of Microsoft 'Automatically reset the Windows Update components' and then scrolled down and clicked on the link that match my operating system and ran the "fix." So I uninstalled the drivers who were involved. Then I restarted my computer, the computer finds the drivers and when I went to double check for Windows updates, optional updates in question do not appear yet. The Synaptics driver I had downloaded originally he had been incorrect he updated a Synaptics driver but it was different than the one I installed initially.

So, long story short... In my view, this "fix" did fix my updates of Windows as so far, so good.

Is could someone please tell me what is the story with theToshiba updates to the laptop? Why should we expect to receive our updates on the Toshiba site?

The best thing to do in 2010, for someone which onws a pc is to get updates. But the history of Toshiba is different.

We get software quite unreliable called Tempro, where people when followed his advice get their computer fried, and advice from this forum are to ignore it. When I get to the Support from Toshiba site, no new update is available for my pc in my country of choice, but when you hit all countries the list suggests 47 updates worldwide, of which 43 are installed in our PC.

In addition, for example Nvidia has just introduced the new drivers for the GT230M since 12/01/09 and still isn't available in the Toshiba site.

I would be grateful to anyone who helps and suggestion on this issue.

UPDATE 3172605 for Windows 7 is described as cumulative... does include all THE previous optional updates?

I was not install most of the optional updates since it takes too much time to find out who could break Win7.

So I have 10 to 20 optional updates... some from as early as 2014. Is it prudent to assume 3172605 replaces all of these updates, the previous updates or only those of July?

I heard 3172605 breaks bluetooth, but I do not use bluetooth so not much. Don't know what else it breaks.

July rollup replaces nothing except the June Rollup, KB3161608. :)

IMAC being run on 10.6.8. but what are the upgrade options

I have growing issues with 10.6.8 running for example music controller Sonos, Safari with Google browser compatibility, etc.

My iMAC10.1 has Intel Core 2 Duo processor running at 3.06 GHz with 3 MB of L2 Cache and 2 * 2 GB of DDR3 memory

So I need to upgrade but at what level and what make the difference in the system configuration required, functionality and compatibility with other software? Where can you get the software from and how is this - I recall a quote from Apple for a free upgrade to one of the most recent operating system, but at the time was not interested.

I use Microsoft Office 2008 and wish to continue

I use extensively in molding and iPhoto iTunes

I sync my Apple iCal and address book with Google

I use Eye TV 3 (worm 3.6.8)

I use Automator to synchronize my mobile photos in iPhoto via Dropbox

I use (worm 6.0.6) iSyncr to sync my music Galaxy S6

I have a few other apps, but I could live without them if necessary.

I guess what never updated, I do, I'll have to do a system back up but how do I do that - I have a 1 TB external harddrive but formatted it my laptop, so I guess I should change it, whether I use it or is it possible this partition so I can use it with windows and MAC OS. Spare my MAC HDD built in 1 TB and currently using 411 GB

Advice on options to upgrade and save very welcome process.

It's a long question with a long answer, so here are the main things that you should consider before the update...

1. all power PC based applications is more run in OS X 10.7 Lion or later version. The most often affected app (launching Lion) was Quicken. To find out exactly what apps do not work anymore,  > about this Mac > system information. On the software tab, click Applications. This should show what 'type' of applications you have. Whatever it is based on Intel will work while Power PC don't either not working or require an update, as is the case with Microsoft Office.

2. you can upgrade your RAM. I think that your computer comes with two 2 GB sticks, for a total of 4 GB. It is usually more than enough because each OS X updated as the Lion needs only 2 GB. Remember that RAM can age just like car tires and sometimes it is better to replace the RAM you have. You can always install a more recent OS and see how it works and then decide to install RAM later. You can use sites such as RAM Crucial or you can buy directly from Apple. Crucial is much cheaper and delivered their RAM quickly. They guarantee also the RAM will work and provide a computer "scan", you can download and it will tell you what RAM to buy. I have used this site for 3 different Apple computers and don't have any problems so far. A computer is a MacBook in 2006 that still works!

3. do your research. Contact the manufacturer of the software that you are concerned about. Office 2009 should work fine as long as it is installed on the computer before update you. Once the update of the BONE occurs, you will have a relatively large update for all Microsoft Office applications to make them compatible with the new operating system software. The Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Bridge, etc.) has had some problems in the past, but I think it works fine now.

All the built in Apple apps update automatically and ask you to "update your library." This may take some time, but is a matter of time. Automator and Dropbox still work as well, but drop-down list will need updates. I would check the Web site of the manufacturer for your other software as I am not familiar with all of your programs.

Note that iPhoto turns Photos if you update to Yosemite 10.10.3. This is a brand new application and some people don't like him because he is different than iPhoto. Personally, I think it has the same features, it's just different. Also iDVD can no longer be installed on a computer that is updated to OS X Lion. If iDVD is installed before the update, it will continue to work as expected

5. Finally, your computer has a 1 TB hard drive and your external drive is 1 TB. In theory, you want to use a disk backup that is twice the size of your hard drive, or at least twice the size of current data on your computer (in your Go 411 cases). Use an external 1 TB drive for backup of 411 GB of data should be good for awhile, but eventually, it will fill the external drive. If you partition the external to work with Windows and Mac OS X, it fills up even faster since there will be less space dedicated to the Mac. Honestly, I would erase the external drive set up using Mac OS extended (journaled) and use it exclusively for Mac backups and then buy a second external for use between computers. It is better to have a single external drive for Time Machine, and it is preferable to use the Mac on FAT 32 format when using Time Machine.

I hope this helps. You have many options on your plate. Ultimately the decision to upgrade is yours. I've always updated because I like having the latest and greatest and I have not had too many snags, but you will get a different answer from different people.

What is the best option for merge prel seven projects - using an intermediate file. using Premiere Pro or a Clipboard Extender?

I did no editing for a few years and suddenly received (for me), a difficult task. I have now just finished editing a wedding shot with 4 video cameras (I took a few videos and other formats have been those who shot at random), in the first 14 elements. The formats of the clips are also different. Due to the fact that there was overlap so many scenes and the complexity of the task, I have divided marriage in 7 scenes, each is a file/project prel e.g. married dress, ceremony, etc. I didn't know at that time that it might be difficult to merge the projects. The final step is to merge these files so that I can make both BD and DVD.
I initially purchased Premiere Pro for editing, using Pinnacle for years, but I was struggling too much with the Pro and the different formats of the clips, add music, overlapping, etc. Then I bought elements and was very uncomfortable with the Expert mode. I think that I am now ready to start using Pro.
The specs of my computer are:
OS: Windows Pro 64-bit 10. current version: 10.0.10586.306
gigahertz Intel Core i5-2400 3,10; RAM: 8, 00 GB Dual-Channel DDR3. 64 bit

I tried to read as many threads as possible in this regard, but couldn't find much on the internet and most son/tutorials are quite old and refer to previous versions of Premiere Elements. I tried to merge it with Premiere Pro, after reading this (https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/importing-sequences-clip-lists-libraries.html; ( http://www.mediacollege.com/adobe/premiere/pro/import/), but I've struggled, as in the two references, it was either too little info or the guideline was not clear to me.
I also saw wires on clipboard Extender (ClipMate and Spartan Lite) https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1148100 I downloaded Spartan Lite, but that seemed pretty confusing.
I'm very uncomfortable to use intermediate files (https://forums.adobe.com/thread/875797?tstart=0) that I have enough space on my drive hard, but made a loose quality? On the other hand, I suppose it might be good for me to start using Premiere Pro now.
What is the current consensus?
Then I have another question and I don't know if I need to open a new thread for this. As I have shown above, the clips have all different characteristics and some files prel are save as 1440 x 1080 (where the scene starts with a clip of nr 4, others like 1920 x 1080) I guess I should have converted clips all to the same specification before editing, but I did not. There was so much work involved in this process that I can't think to change to a format and replace them current clips, etc. With the rendering, the different specifications will be a problem?
One last question - I guess I just need to go to the BD and DVD specifications, or should I also realize the whole project in a format without loss of keep for possible future use?

Another option is to use Cineform, who is a Visual lossless codec and produces smaller files means then Lagarith.

What is the best option to get Email group subscription to CRM Contacts (in time real/as it changes)

I evaluate me and come up with approaches multiples, but want to ask everybody, what is the best and easiest method to get subscriptions to e-mail to CRM Group since they change, virtually in real time in CRM (SFDC or other).
I understand internal call/event allows only the global subscription status be synchronized with CRM, my problem is subscription group.
Would love to hear all of the approaches.

Hi Amit,

Others may have another alternative, but what I've done in the past is to create a "Subscriptions" Eloqua field both SFDC and make a multiple selection with the same values as the E-mail groups in Eloqua. Then, when a person subscribes to some groups of Email, in addition to the update of their Email Group subscriptions, I also update the values in the field 'Subscriptions' and then add in the update CRM program so that subscriptions are updated in the master record or Contact SFDC.

I work with a client who succeeded subscriptions on the side SFDC in an object custom. It's doable as well, but it is a bit tricky when people of the Nations United-subscription of a group. We ended up creating a record for every email of the contact group to subscribe on a custom object with the name of Group of e-mail and a value of 'Yes' in a field called "Customer", and then if the contact came back and unsubscribed from a group they have already subscribed to, we updated account of this group of e-mail on the custom with a value of 'No' object in the field 'Subscriber '. A little more complicated and more difficult to manage and maintain, but it allows more coverage as you can tell for each group of Email when someone is first of all a (rather than having a single field of "Subscriptions" in the main folder or Contact which houses all subscriptions).

After update of mozilla firefox and come here to help another user pointed out that I had several Flash plugins below. Before updating, I was updating from mozilla firefox and Adobe. Of course, things were NOT up-to-date. I managed to delete the obsolete Flash and Adobe Flash Player plugins. I just want to know what that "more" updated the plugin and the player are while I know that I have the last and am new. I do the last firefox update now and I use Windows 7. Thank you! When it installs, Flash by default to update automatically, but if you need to manually update, you can use one of these pages:

HP 6700 Assistant what function the printer option? Looking for a help file.

I just istalled an Office jet 6700, one of the shortcuts on my desktop is labeled HP Officejet 6700.

When I click it I get four options, HP Printer Wizard, set preferences, see what's printing and customize your printer.

Outside the HP printer assistant, they do what they say.

I click the button Wizard from the printer and nothing happens, but I think I need the Printer Wizard to access the help file.

My Panel said aid has been loaded, but I can't seem to find it.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the device three times now.

One of the ideas please?

Then install the latest version below, be sure not to use the original CD that include older software:

What is the list of updates that are needed to transform to SP3?

What is the list of these KB upgrades that are needed to transform to Service Pack 3. I want to install them manually.
I currently have:
KB942288
KB940157

And want the whole list. If you don't know then you can go to: Control Panel > Add / Remove Programs if you are on the Service Pack 3 update...

To 'turn' to SP 3, you must actually install SP3. There is no list that "transforms".

Who or what determines the available optional updates?
