To install the add-on "Personas Shuffler" can solve the problem for me, I don't think it was the BEST solution.
Tonight, I read why the add-on "Personas Shuffler" was made and concluded that the BEST solution is:

    1. open a new tab and type "about: config" in the URL bar, and then search for "lightweightthemes" with the filter.

    2. change the values of "lightweightThemes.persisted.footerURL" and "lightweightThemes.persisted.headerURL" from true to false (by double-clicking on it).

    3. after that, restart Firefox and you will see that it works! You don't have to install an add-on.

Please update Firefox 18, then reset Firefox. Refresh Firefox – reset the parameters and modules

If the home page button works fine, but your shortcut on the desktop to send you to the wrong page, the shortcut can be hacked.

Right click on the shortcut icon > properties > Shortcut tab

For Windows XP (default location), the goal should be either not less that what follows. If there are extra things, empty:

    "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe"

If that checks well, hmm, I wonder if you could have a hidden extension? Extensions are unable to hide mode without failure of Firefox.

You can restart Firefox in Mode safe mode using either:

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > restart with disabled modules
    • Help menu > restart with disabled modules

Not all add-ons are disabled: Flash and other plugins still works

After stops in Firefox, a small dialog box should appear. Click on 'Start mode safe' (not reset).

Any difference? Also, you can visit the page modules. Either:

    • CTRL + SHIFT + a
    • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Then see if something new appears at the time where you posted from your list:

  • How can I stop the bad website to come whenever I start Firefox?

After installing some software, the URL "http://hi.ru/?10" guard opening in a new tab, whenever I run Firefox. He also took over my home page in Chrome and IE, but it was easy to fix those. For some reason, he keeps ignoring the homepage that I changed it to my Firefox settings. It keeps just setting up this stupid Russian Web site. I tried searching in: config but nothing there. I looked for Add-ons, but nothing is there. No toolbar that could do it too.

It is not similar to the problem discussed in this article, but I use Windows 8.1, so is not a simple shortcut that I can change.

If your homepage is correct in the Options dialog box, but by clicking on the icon of the House or by opening a new window (Ctrl + n) charge the wrong page, or charge two tabs (a right, an evil)?

I know that you have verified that many of these things before, but if you wouldn't mind taking a second look:

    (1) starts by the Control Panel, uninstall a program. After the loading of the list, click on the column heading "installed on" to group infections, I mean additions by date. This can help the undisclosed items bundle smoker who snuck out with some software, you have agreed to install. Out as much garbage as possible here.

    (2) then, in Firefox, open the page modules using either:

    • CTRL + SHIFT + a
    • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons

In the left column, click on Plugins. Set essential and unrecognized plugins 'never enable '.

In the left column, click Extensions. Then, in case of doubt, disable (or delete, if possible) not recognized and unwanted extensions.

Often, a link will appear above at least an extension disabled to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links in the last step.

If the problem only occurs with the shortcut on the desktop, are looking for a hijacked 'target' using the side Windows desktop. Right-click on the icon, choose Properties and then the shortcut tab. If you've pinned to the taskbar, the icon of Firefox there is an extra click: right-click on the icon and then click Mozilla Firefox. Then you can get real estate.

The 'target' for Windows 7 32 bit should be either not less the following:

    "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe"

Edit: Sorry, I forgot to edit after pasting...

The 'target' for Windows 64 - bit 8.x must be not more not less the following:

    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe"

If there are extra things on the line after that, it empty.

    Any progress?

  • Since the last update issue 31, whenever I start Firefox It controls compabillitity with Add ons

Every time I start Firefox I get on my desktop check Add ons compabillity and Firefox open, never had this before, how can this be resolved.

I've updated from version 25 (25.1?) to 31 version and updated all my modules at a time. Whenever I started Firefox it would check compatibility and open the pages for all the Add-ons. I tried all of the suggestions posted here without success. I loaded a backup of my system and just tried to update the add-on and it's the same thing. • How to prevent the opening evertime I start Firefox 29,0 DictionarySearch add-on

With this 29,0 update, whenever I run the FF application, the DictionarySearch add-on also opens and I don't want to see it.

Before 29,0, DictionarySearch did not open whenever I launched Firefox.

How to stop the add-on of DictionarySearch open a tab whenever I run Firefox (without uninstalling)?

    I see something!

I see that user.js is running on Firefox

The user.js file is present than if you or another software has created this file and normally it wouldn't be here.

You can delete a possible user.js file and numbered prefs-# .js files and rename (or delete) the file prefs.js to reset all the prefs by default, including the prefs set via user.js and pref which is no longer supported in the current version of Firefox. You can get the profile below:

    • Help > troubleshooting information > profile directory > see folder

    or

    • Go to Subject: support , and then click view the folder next to the profile directory.
  • tabs disappear whenever I start Firefox 19

I normally Firefox put in place to have 5 tabs pinned and 2 or 3 tabs recorded since the previous session of Firefox. Since I have updated to version 19 FF, I lose 1 pinned tab whenever FF is started. I tried the fixes suggested on the issue of corruption of sessionstore.js file, checked to make sure that Firefox 'Will Remember history' is selected, the file used > Exit to leave FF. Whenever I start Firefox, it will miss a pinned tab (not all, just one). I started with 5 and I can go out, and then launch FF and only 4 pinned tabs are open. Repeat and only 3 are open, etc. If I have a normal tab open when I go out, it is saved & opens the next time FF starts, it seems open tabs is saved, but pinned tabs are closed. In addition, it is always the second pinned tab which is lost (counting from left to right). When there is only one tab left, pinned next time I restart FF, a normal tab is closed. Every time you start after that will close another normal tab until one pinned tab is on the left (the left most pinned tab). I have not tried to restart FF with only the one pinned tab, but essentially is that I lose 1 tablet recorded each time I have quit and restart and seq. anyone else see this behavior or have any suggestions to fix?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).

    • Do NOT click on the reset button on the start safe mode window or make changes.

Alternatively, you can check for problems with the cleaning and security software.

Try to start the computer in safe mode Windows with network support (on the startup screen, press F8) as a test to see if that helps.

All my plugins are up to date.

Type of topic: config in the URL bar and press ENTER.

If you see the warning, you can confirm that you want to access this page.

Pref = plugins.update.notifyUser if it shows as true, double-click this pref to toggle it false

If this pref was already set to False, try to disable the QuickTime Plugin, and then restart Firefox, to see if it is the culprit.
