  I wanted to create a RESET DISK of PASSWORD, but NOOOOO - my machine has a FLOPPY DRIVE. No product only the CD/DVD PLAYERS and one cannot change the a drive to a different letter designation.

  From what I read, it seems quite simple and easy in both cases.  And not worry about drive letters - it will take whatever drive letter you choose (or who has been assigned to the flash player).

Fortunately the police recovered the laptop, but the password has been changed and we cannot use it. In the meantime, we have replaced the old laptop with a new one that has windows 8.   You can create a password reset disk only when you are able to log on or access Windows 7 computer and after you have created a password for the same.

  Windows 8 password reset disk can be used only in Windows 8 computer where you created the password and not for Windows 7.

  You must create a Windows password reset disk before you forgot your password. You must also create a new password reset disk when you change your password in Windows.

  If you the administrator password are changed and is not a password reset disk or another administrator account, you will not be able to change or reset the password.
