Why CC have less than CS6 file types?

I have DW CS6 and CC installed on my system.  Can someone tell me why CS6 has several types of files available in the menu "file/new" CC's?  For example, CS6 has 18 types "HTML", but CC has only 2.  CS6 also, has a "get more content" link on the dialog box, while CC doesn't work.

Is it possible to get CC to have all these types of files available, or do I need to create the file in CS6 and then switch to CC for the rest of my work?

If you want Dreamweaver CM³ in startup files, it is very easy to copy across. Navigate to the following location:

C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CS6\configuration\BuiltIn\Layouts (Windows)

/ Applications/adobe Dreamweaver CS6/configuration/BuiltIn/Layouts (Mac)

Copy all the files except the first four, beginning with HTML5_

Paste in the following location:

C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CC\configuration\BuiltIn\Layouts (Windows)

/ Applications/Adobe Dreamweaver CC/configuration/BuiltIn/Layouts (Mac)

You will need the administrator for this permission.

Once you have copied the, you'll find them in your new Document dialog box. The names are entirely specifically listed, but they must be recognizable.

  • Why can't I choose the file type?

When there is a listed image and there is more than one option for the file type, why am I not able to choose the format I want?  I recently spent the Dollar Photo Club and I'm irritated, with the move, I think that I have all the Adobe products to access the files.

Twice he came now I chose an image and sent a .ai file.  I can't open the .ai files because I do not use a program Adobe!  I understand that these wheels are specifically designed for Adobe and I would not have chosen this type of file for this reason.  My problem is that BOTH times the available file type was also listed as a .eps file!  I am able to use this file type.

However, it only gives me the possibility to download this form, even if he says that it is available.  How can I use the image if I can't open it?  Why .eps as a format from the list and then only let me download in a format that I can not use?

This is the ID for the two files I've lost credits on.  It clearly states that these two are available as a .eps, yet I can't access it.

    #28242166

Megan, the dedicated team working on this and it seems to work that way for a long time only; every time, it downloads a file .ai only.

From of now the workaround that you can try is to open the file IN Illustrator and save it as .eps.

    Hope that helps!

  • Why not have transfer of larger files and function to keep Logo?

I tend to like most of the Adobe products and I actively get others to use Adobe products.  However, this product is not worth the headache - you want us to use it or not?  There is no legitimate reason for Adobe to have so many restrictions on this type of product, especially when none of your competitors has them.  The logo was the main reason I chose AdobeSendNow at the expense of others.  Although I have never happy to not be able to send files greater than 2 GB when competitors allow up to 20 GB.  In addition, why are there so many types of limited files? This type of service should be automatically including all current and known file types used by PC and Mac.  because of all of this, I am obliged to pay and use another service to do my work today.

I do not understand the logic of NOT respecting this than your competitors providing and noticed which includes end-users as most.  After reviewing the information, create a service that integrates and improves on all of these features, including the new features in Adobe original.  Now, Adobe should have a service that can easily be a product in this category.  It seems that whoever is responsible for this product/service does no sincere effort by creating a leading product.  This product has ceased to be an average product with some 'cool' features, for the worst product in its class.

I really hope someone at Adobe pays attention to these comments and upgrade Adobe send to a leader of the actual product.

Support for much larger files and sending brand has been added during the summer.

  • Why has a less than physical server VM RAM footprint?

It seems to me have noticed the Windows operating system virtualized, for example, Server 2003 has a memory footprint lower when running as a virtual machine than directly on the hardware. This is apparent inside the guest operating system.

    I have a few questions:

Is this right at all? And it is typical for all the virtual machines or just for Windows clients?

And also, why? I think it has to do with the virtual material being less complex?

I suspect it has to do with the virtual material being less complex?

It's actually the only possible reason, given that Windows does not know it is virtualized.

There is less 'virtual' hardware to handle (usually no USB, parallel, series,...) so fewer drivers are needed. There is also no specific equipment or surveillance SW provider chipset driver. In addition, VMware tools are optimized for virtual hardware.

  • Supporting specification documents > > can we have more than one file on the details of the attachment?

The user believes Add button is missing to add files as 'attached files' is plura and there are line numbers in the grid.  Use case is that the user wants to upload three photos not in compliance with the details of one attachment because they share the title and dates.  Also wants to print on the same page in the PDF print specification.  If added as separate titles, then print one per page.  We lose a button?  Thanks, BeckieC

    Hi Beckie,

I'm afraid in the current PLM4P, we do not support function on the document to support customer demand. However, we have some improvements to 6.2 to support the document, I suggest you to submit an enhancement request and wait for the next major version if it is not urgent

  • Specify several file types for filePicker

    Hello world

When you specify a file type for a FilePicker, 'relevant' tab is made available on the left which includes all files of this type on your device on a single screen. I want to be able to have more than one of these tabs, so I guess that if I specify several file types that I can get the legs at all what I said.

The FilePicker API reference for ' bb::cascades:ickers::FileType:Types defaultType "he's hinting that there is a way to specify more than one file type for a FilePicker. How can I do this?

I got to try something that seems to work. In the use of definition FilePicker:

    type: FileType.Picture + FileType.Document + FileType.Music + FileType.Video + FileType.Other

This puts a drop-down menu at the top of your filepicker where you can choose from any one of the types that you specify in the order that you specify. ('Other' Chooseing will give you the default view). Don't know if there is another or a better way to do this, but it works for now.

  • I use Lightroom 4.4 on windows 8. Less than 500 photos on the catalog and the catalog size is currently at 2.16 GB. Lightroom works fine, but I'm taking a risk by leaving the catalog to grow beyond 2 GB?

I use Lightroom 4.4 on windows 8. If I have less than 500 photos on the catalog, I do a lot of alterations and cleaning of the images and therefore the size of the catalogue is currently at 2.16 GB. Lightroom works fine, but I'm taking a risk by leaving the catalog to grow beyond 2 GB? Should I close it and start a new catalog? Thanks for your suggestions.

Many local adjustments (brush strokes, spot healing) can have a huge impact on the overall size of the catalog because they are all saved as stages of the individual history and so I wouldn't worry - there is nothing wrong with your catalog. See my thread here since a few years back: which affects the size of the Lightroom catalog file? where Rob Cole usefully thought of it for me.

You could delete the history if you wanted and that I'd be willing to bet that the size would be reduced considerably. That said, my catalog file is larger than 10 GB (as I do a lot of local changes as stated in the thread I linked to) and it causes no problem at all, apart from resulting in a backup of slow catalogue (my previews resume another 30 GB or more). I have not yet felt the need for the history of the Reformation, but doing so probably would increase my catalog to about 1 GB, so it's an option if size becomes a problem for me.

My advice: continue anyway and don't worry in this regard.

  • New 4 GB Clip + empty shows 8 GB card when the internal memory has more than 10 files

If I have more than 10 files on the internal memory, external 8 GB card will appear empty. If I format the internal memory and does not add any files, I see everything on the external card. MSC is set and PC, I see all of each drive.

Any advice? I had rather not return this if I can make it work.

    Thank you.

Initially, this was resolved by a reupload 1.02.15A firmware. But the problem comes back.

I went to the RockBox firmware, and it works as expected. I'll check the next official FW and see if it has not changed.

For now, I'm happy with RockBox.

I win many messages from Windows Mail, and I want to save them with the same type of file they were sent with.  It's very exhausting to have to change the file type for the type of original file of the default '.eml' every time I save a message.  Is there a way to stop the program in default value of '.eml '?

I don't think that it is possible to change the default file type in the drop-down list. Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook]

  • More than 1 file open Excel, Aero Peek will show not miniature, only circles

Since the critical update from Microsoft last week (26/02/13), when I have more than one file opened in Excel, all I get in the vignettes are circles.  I restored in time before the update and the Aero Peek normally carried out with more than one Excel file is open.  The feature works with more open file in Word, MapPoint and Outlook (all open at the same time).  If there is only a single Excel file open, the Aero Peek thumbnail runs as it should.  The file names appear again, but only spinning circles on the tile.

  • In the control panel under Tools, folder, file types options, why are there items her don't have next to them?

According to my question in the title above... Tab file types... Why is it (NO) next to audio CD, disc, DVD, and a little more such elements as the folder of file, folder and to allocate to the Protocol.

Reason why I ask this is I just do a fresh install of Windows XP with SP2 and I installed SP3 after that on an old computer that was in need of a new facility. I continued to get the AutoPlay window I went to the CD and DVD players and set everything to TAKE NO ACTION. I wonder if I made a mistake by doing this. I was half way tempted to do the same for drive C, but I did not.  Is there something I can do to correct what I do that I should not have?

Also, I noticed that my computer is really slow now and it was not before.

The [NONE] you're referring to means that there are has file extensions associated with things such as Audio CDs, disks and DVDs.

A "file extension" is the 3-(4-parfois) part of a file name that comes after the period character.  For example, in "Document.doc" file extension is doc.

Made settings were - as you noted correctly - in the AutoPlay dialog box.  These settings determine what Windows does when a removable storage device is connected.  Depending on the type of multimedia content detected on the device, you can choose from a variety of "Manipulative Autoplay" to deal with this content.

"Take no action" is not a bad default.

If you want to change your mind, open my computer and right-click on the icon for a CD/DVD/USB device and select the tab "Autoplay".  You can choose from a variety of types of "content" and then choose which application should open.  For more flexibility, TweakUI--> http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/downloads/windows-xp or see

Also, I noticed that my computer is really slow now and it was not before.

A number of things could happen here.

Have you installed all necessary drivers after you reinstalled Windows?

Have you installed an antivirus application before connecting to the Internet?

Have you applied all post-sp3 Windows critical updates before you begin to surf the Internet?

Did you uninstall the trial versions of software antivirus which have been replaced (unless your new Windows installation was a "clean install")?

  • Why do you have different file types?

Why are there different file types (pdf, http and others) that you need for different programs to open?

Why are there different containers (aluminum cans, plastic bottles, glass jars, etc.) that you need different tools to open?

The answer is because each kind of file has that the others don't, and if you need different programs access to these features.

  • Text captions - why can't do less than 62 pixels high?

    It's so strange!

I use a text caption (type = haloyellow) with Arial, size 12 font. The problem is that I can't reduce the height of the box less than 62 pixels. Even properties/size and Position, my change of 55 pixels is ignored (locking is off).

It seems that issues type and haloyellow is one of those guys who have a minimum value of 62 pixels. Has anyone else encountered this problem?

Unfortunately, all the alternatives (for appearance, I am trying to accomplish) have the same size restrictions.

    Hi Shawn

Every legend has a minimum size, and it is determined by the base used bitmap image. If you examine the properties of the HaloYellow1.bmp file, you will see that it is 62 pixels maximum.

The file must be found in the Adobe Captivate 4\Gallery\Captions program

The only way to make it smaller must in this case open the image in an image editor and change it there. Then you will need to save it under a different name and you can then insert it into your project.

    See you soon... Rick
