Why do you have different file types?

Why are there different file types (pdf, http and others) that you need for different programs to open?

Why are there different containers (aluminum cans, plastic bottles, glass jars, etc.) that you need different tools to open?

The answer is because each kind of file has that the others don't, and if you need different programs access to these features.

Each file type is in a different format.  The formats are different
    essentially for two reasons:

    1. the files contain any other type of information. For
example, an mp3 file contains a music and a xls file contains a
worksheet. The music and spreadsheets are very different things and one
a unique type of guy would not work for both.

    2. There is also the example of the types of files that are very different, even
Although basically they both contain the same type of data. For example,.
a doc file is a file created by Microsoft Word processor (or
some compatible programs) and a wpd file is a text file
created by WordPerfect. This is because Word and WordPerfect are two
very different programs, with very different characteristics. Designers
and authors of each of the programs designed for a type of file that would be
works very well with their program.

  • [Solved] When you change the file type for RAR files, it also changes the file type of the ISO XP files

I tried to change the file type description, as well as in default and the icon for the rar and iso programs file types inmenu\ tools\folder options\file typest\advanced, but to change the settings on a file type automatically changes settings on the other.

How can I do this via regedit?  What can cause a bug?

    * original title - xp: types of files RAR and ISO locked together, the same treatment! *

    Hello

    1. How are you sure that you change the individual file extension and not the entire folder?
    2. how exactly you try this?

To change a name of file, all you have to do is right click on the file, and then click Rename, instead of the path you describe in the thread.

  • Why did you have to change the layout of Firefox?

I would like to know why you've gone and changed the provision in the Firefox?

I'm still on Fx 3.6.18 because frankly 5.0.1 is horrible.

Why did you have to change everything and make a difference. Why couldn't you have given us the same layout as 3.6.18 but with these new updates.

I will never download Fx5. 3.6 was perfect.

Also how can I contact Fx without upgrading?

    Firefox 3.6.19 is available here.

  • That means in fact 'clear history' once you have converted files from pdf into word documents?

@ Which means 'delete history' once you have converted files from pdf into word documents? It will remove the orininal PDF?

    Hi Granduff,

Delete history only removes information on the exported files. It does not remove the files.

You can find all the converted files in the files tab to "https://cloud.acrobat.com/exportpdf" and find the original PDF in the same place.

    Kind regards

  • To open different file types

Forms [32 bit] Version 10.1.2.3.0 (Production)

    Hello
How can you open different types of files in the database as blobs using Webutil? I capture the file name and the extension as well.

The file types are: spreadsheets Excel, MS Word, PDF, attached e-mail (outlook)

I know web.show_document but that helps, the files must be located on a server?

I don't want to use javabeans, if that helps.

    Thank you

    Hello

    Webutil is enough ;-)

Replace the functionality of the OLE Container C/S with the Webutil library

  • When I uninstalled Firefox Nightly, why do you have it removed all my bookmarks and plugins for Firefox itself? I'm not saying to remove these features.

    Refer to the issue.

If you have selected the option "delete personal data nightly and customizations" during the uninstallation of the Nightly version, you deleted all your Firefox profiles.

  • Why do you have Vista 32 bit my native resolution of 1680 x 1050, but 64-bit Vista is not?

I was already running 32 bit Vista Home Basic and I've now changed to 64-bit Home Premium and for some reason that I have more my 1680 x 1050 Native resolution monitors in the list of available resolutions.

    The closest available resolutions are 1600 x 900 and 1600 x 1024.

Obviously it's not a lot of good because anything other than of the native looks horrible!

I have the option in the NVidia Control Panel to create custom resolutions, which do not seem to work in windows is.  I added 1680 x 1050 and set it as my resolution.  Now the problem I have is that the games aren't my resolution custom in their choice of resolutions in the graphics options, so I can't play in 1680 x 1050 the closest choice is the resolutions that I mentioned earlier, which means that the quality of the image in the games is horrible!

I do not understand why I now have a problem when 32-bit Vista everything was fine, it's the same graphics driver as before only the 64-bit version.

    Any help is greatly appreciated!

    No problem.

However, this problem is solved now fortunately.  I did some research on Google more and came across this article about Windows 7 users with simillar problems with drivers of the generic Non - PNP monitor and lack of resolutions:

    http://www.TomsHardware.com/Forum/652-63-window-monitor-1680x1050-1920x1080-resolution-here

The advice it worked a treat, I downloaded PowerStrip (http://downloads.guru3d.com/PowerStrip-3.75-download-169.html#download ),

I uninstalled all drivers GPU rebooted my computer, and then use Powerstrip I created my own .inf driver using the correct resolution of 1680 x 1050 Max, registered the and that installed my driver of monitors.

Reinstalled my drivers, GPU, rebooted and it instantly recognized my Native 1680 x 1050 and set it to one at the start.  And when I run all the games, the resolution is in the list!

    I am so happy.

  • In the opening different file types that Windows Media Player opens indicating does not support the file type or the CODEC. Why? Help, please!

AT THE OPENING OF THE DIFFERENT TYPES OF FILES WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER OPENS INDICATING NOT TO SUPPORT THE TYPE OF FILE OR CODEC. WHY? Help, please!

If you try new types of files that WMP is not pregnant then it will warn you that they only peuvent malfunction.

I got when I started to use video files to .ts format - he warned me, and then I told him to go ahead & try anyway, so he did and they worked.

If say you your WMP to try to use the format, then you can include the results in your response to the request of zig - zag for more info - make sure to specify what types of files they are.  Note the messages you get from WMP because it will give more information that just what file extension are files - video files can be, for example, the extensions of files .ts taking video & audio formats of all kinds such as mpeg2 or mpeg4 & mp3 or ac3.

  • Attached a PDF file have different file name

So I enclose you pdf files for descriptions of product and occasionally when I click on the link of the PDF, the pdf file name will be different from what I've downloaded. The file is correct, but the automated name will have a number after it. It seems that muse is the earlier pdf with the same name in the file somewhere and adding the number. Is their anyway for me to delete the pdf file previously listed in the hyperlink section so that I don't get the number following the name of the file.

    Hello

You can delete the files in the folder of the active, active Panel also click on options, you can delete unused files for upload which would be to remove the used or unrelated files anywhere in the pages of the site.

    Thank you

  • Can you have different partitions on a virtual machine on different host machine partititons?

I have a 2008 srver machine which has two partitions. I wish that my virtual machine which is Server 2008 (Workstation 8) to have one of its virtual disk on one of my partitions hosts and the other on the other partition. IS this possible? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

With a new virtual machine you would just select the location for the new virtual disk when you create it. With an existing virtual machine, you could - with the virtual machine powered on and closed VMware Workstation (or at least tab of the virtual machine closed) - move the virtual disk files second to another partition and edit the .vmx virtual machine file and add the absolute path name of the virtual disk file.

If you want, after (join) current .vmx file of the virtual machine as well as his latest vmware log file and let me know the path target if I can guide you.
